<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haymaker26</b></div><div>As a heads up, I'm coming at this as a Penguins fan. I come in (relative) peace.
I think it would be a lot better for yinz if Cutter Gauthier was willing to stick around. Michkov looks poised for superstardom, but he's the only guy I think is a guaranteed star. There are a lot of solid role players, Tippett, Cates, Frost, York, etc. But those guys are not guys you build a contender around. Rizzo and Bonk look like they could be solid players as well and Philly is flush with goalie prospects, but I don't think anyone in the system other than Michkov is a franchise keystone.
I honestly think it would've been in the Flyer's best interest to sell at the deadline and get as high a pick as possible. If a team that could get you an earlier 1st for Konecny, I'd have taken it, as good as he's been for the Flyers. As mentioned already, you need a 1C and 1D. I think the Flyers could still end up with one of Catton, Buium, maybe even Parekh, and that would go a long way towards long-term success. But if they had the option of a Lindstrom or Levshunov (even one of those guys and the aformentioned Catton/Buium/Parekh from a Konecny deal), they'd be in position for a much better future.</div></div>

These are fair points, just nothing we didn't know already :) But first of all, we ain't speaking about quitter gauthier.

Ofc our team played A LOT better than anyone expected this season, but also was kinda unfortunate that you, Sabres, Devils and even freaking Senators were so bad. TK should have been traded last summer tbh, when his value was at highest, but TDL would have also worked, as he has one more year in his contract. But @ TDL the problem is that buyer will most likely be some contender and most of them doesn't have good prospect pool/high pick.

Somehow I believe Catton will fall to us, Buium or Parekh doesn't. And I still wouldn't mind trading TK, if we get a good value, but ofc return wouldn't be that high as it would have been year ago. Maybe with 50% retention could get something actually nice as then he'd fit on pretty much every team *krhm* Canucks *krhm*.
