Are these fair trades for all teams involved
After this Boldy deal, theres almost zero way for the Wild to afford Boesser unless its a Zuccarello (exactly zuccarello) sized contract coming off the books next season.

Idk - if they get offered a first round pick after this 7x7 that they just gave Boldy, I think they at least listen, Hartman is off the team after next year anyways with the cap crunch and the raise he has earned.

Wait but that would mean that he would have to trade players and create this cap space which he already said was too much work to sign Gaudreau.

Next year
The only thing I disagree with here is the Boldy contract, I think they try and go 6+ years at 7-8M, the contract could become a steal in 2 years, if not already, when the cap starts increasing, I don't think they bridge him and then have to Doll out a 8 x 11 when the cap is close to $100M in 4 years (under the assumption they do get the $4M increase next year and a 5% increase every year after similar to pre-covid)

23 TDL
I don't hate any of these deals at all, I don't think the Rangers would be in on Hartman but maybe someone like EDM, TB or COL (Teams that need cheap players who can put up points with skilled forwards around them) The rangers have to many C's as is, so the asking price would probably be too much to put him on the wing.
Dumba deal is a no brainer IMO - he is playing on the 3rd pair, could either put Holl there or call up Sustr to be a PK guy, which he excels at.
I don't think that Buffalo would do that deal, but from the Wild perspective, I would absolutely do it.
I have also always liked Bellows, I don't know why we didn't claim him.
All that being said, I still think that this team makes the playoffs in a beyond shaky west and with Fleury starting to seem to be getting his stride back after the last couple games. It will be an interesting season and I don't think that any of these moves is overly detrimental to the teams chances of making the playoffs as they are all really just ancillary pieces, I see a wild card or 3rd in the central team with or without any or all of these trades.

How To Get a 1st for Dumba
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drmantalban</b></div><div>It's a good question. Russo has speculated on that a bit, and he makes it sound like Guerin would move him sooner rather than later if he got a return he liked. Anyone's guess as to what that is, but assuming he doesn't get a no-brainer offer, I do think it's an own rental situation if we're in a playoff spot. If we're fringe playoffs or out of it, then obviously sell for max value.
Idk it's interesting bc the west is pretty open, as you said. Could definitely see it going either way with Dumba.</div></div>
Based off what I have seen on the ice, and the flashes that this team has when they play a north south game versus east west, I don't think they will miss the playoffs, however, Dumba is now relegated to a 3rd pair D-Man with how well Addison is playing, I think you try and prop him up for whatever you can get and you fill that 3rd D role with someone more suited like Sustr internally, I just don't see why you would continue to play Dumba on the 3rd pair where he really does not play that type of game.

Edmonton Wild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MNBassman</b></div><div>Maybe, but those 2 picks should be basically early 2nd rounders…</div></div>
I would have to agree with this, a 1.7M forward who proved he can play really well with an elite puck mover/player, i.e. McDavid and Draisaitl, is what causes his value to be gigantic to teams like EDM and COL. With the cap potentially increasing $4M next year, I think the Wild will probably wait on any moves with Dumba as they may, just may re-up him on a near identical deal, depending on what Boldy's contract looks like at the end of the year. If they were to go the route of giving Boldy 8x8 and give Dumba's money, or potential money there, then yes, I think they move him. It will be interesting

Kneejerk reaction to a very very very slow and looking lost start. I thought he should have been the healthy scratch against COL, not Rossi.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>34 goals and 65 points next to Kaprizov last year while making only $1.7M.
Why the f**k would you trade Hartman?
Until Rossi is consistently putting up points he should be nowhere near the top line. Get him off the 4th line and next to Boldy, sure. But it is waaaay too early to play him with Kaprizov.
Furthermore, Hartman is actually better suited to the top line because he not only has the skill to keep up but provides that line with some grit and snarl.
So again, why are you trading Hartman?</div></div>
Don't get me wrong, this is a little bit of a knee jerk reaction, however, if he continues to play significantly worse than last year (Which I feel as though anyone could admit is true), his value is just going to continue to drop, I have never been as high on Hartman as others have and think he is a product of his situation, so if you put him in a similar situation in EDM he could flourish, and the wild gain another first in a stacked 2023 draft.

Yeah..... a 2023 first round pick that is potentially in the lottery or mid teens, I think the Wild absolutely listen to that offer, add the fact that there is a recent 2nd round pick (I don't know anything about him) and Mittlestadt who shows flashes and then can disappear, I think this is a huge overpay from Buffalo's side of the deal actually. Crap, if it were just the 2023 first, I think Guerin would have a tough decision to make.

Given their current cap situation under the assumption that they let Dumba go and trade Addison for something decent at the deadline or after the year (Assuming he doesn't blossom into an amazing player all the sudden) would you have their pairings something like this next year?

I think I could get behind Addison in the likely available category factoring in he would bring a good return, however, there would need to be a replacement for him or Dumba (or Dumba signs an extension 4.5 or less) for it to be a reality that Addison moves

I understand the thinking - but if they pulled something similar to Tampa where you either accept this trade or go on waivers, Minnesota seems a lot better of an option than Montreal

MY ideal lines
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>drmantalban</b></div><div>I'd rather them take the actual 30-goal scorer in Hartman and throw him with those 2 vs. Beckman.
Beckman doesn't play a complete enough game - right now, he's a pretty one dimensional north-south high volume shooter. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but let's see him get more than 11 goals in an AHL season before we throw him into a boom/bust spot with 2 other greenhorns.</div></div>
Yeah - I don't think his 5.4% shooting percentage is necessarily going to continue, but I agree, let him get his feet wet in Iowa and see if he can get 10-12% down there and then bring him up where it would presumably drop, but at volume, it works.
