Awesome. This is the best solution to the Marner saga that I've come across yet

Most likely the only team able to pay him that much is SKA St. Petersburg, which would mean that he'd form the most dangerous line with Nail Yakupov (LOL) and Jori Lehterä (LMAO)

Yeah, we will see how the prospects turn out... but in Jones yes I agree, Jones is unbelievable watching him is a treat, pretty much the perfect modern day dman

More OFD
Pass. Sens RW depth is worse than our RD depth, which actually isn't looking as bad as it had previously.
Without Batherson, the Sens RW prospect pool starts and ends with Jonathan Davidsson. Throw Pinto in there, but he's still more of a Centre at this point.
The way for Ottawa to add some depth on the back end will be through the draft. Plenty of RD options will be available win that late 1st-2nd round range, and Ottawa will have four picks in that range.

The Bruins have options in Miller & Moore as well, if they need additional space - neither or both would hurt the team that much.
This is a horrible deal for the Bruins. The Bruins would rather have Carlo @ 7 x 4.5m than Johnson at 4 x 6m & you want Charlie Coyle who was their best playoff player?
Nope.
Not only that you didn't even give them the pick in the deep draft. They Bruins would laugh and offer you Nordstrom for Landeskog & the rights to Raantanan.</div></div>

Trocheck would be such a good target for us, but I don't think Florida moves him unless you're overpaying. Zucker is a good player but Florida really doesn't need more wingers and they don't have great center depth beyond Barkov and Trocheck right now since Borgstrom shouldn't be playing 2nd line minutes. Avalanche also probably say no since they have Girard, Byram, and Zadorov on LD.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vorg_Vaarg</b></div><div>Jones rounded back to form in the playoffs and played pretty well game 5 against Vegas and onward. Hopefully that transfers to the season but Jones has always been a playoff goalie. The back end of the defense contracts won’t be a concern if they win a cup in the next few years. Also the cap going up with the new tv deal in a couple years.
I personally like what Anaheim is doing with their prospects but it’s likely a long haul ahead for them. I’ll always cherish the Getzlaf vs Thornton rivalry.
Sharks Ducks Kings rivalry goes back a long time, now enters Vegas. Wait, why is this conversation happening in a Minnesota room?</div></div>

He traded a first for less than 30 games of Eaves, and yes, Eaves was a super often injured player before his current problem and he had super unsustainable numbers as well. He also traded Kyle Palmieri for a couple of picks that were flipped for Hagelin and Jamie frickin McGinn. He let Perrault walk for absolutely nothing after a really good year. Then he traded William Karlsson and I believe a 2nd round pick for James Wisniewski (LOL)
Oh yeah he also employed Carlyle 2x.
Yea, he drafted Comtois who may or may not be traded for a Dunkin Donuts gift card next year.

Dude, Chiarelli drafted Connor McDavid. Does that make him a great GM? No. It does not. I’m sorry but Fowler is a touch overrated.
The Ducks are crapping themselves now and a lot of it is due in part to the GM and it looks like another year or two of missing the playoffs is ahead. Enjoy the rebuild.

I’m a Sharks fan. My team has eaten yours for breakfast the last few years. My team has a really good GM that keeps us in contention every year. Yes, the ducks have a cup and the sharks don’t but I get to watch competitive hockey every year and every offseason watch Doug Wilson fleece other GMs and sign star players to amazing contracts.
I think I will enjoy watching my team dismantle yours for years to come, just like in the playoffs two years ago.
Enjoy your rebuild!

Don't see FLA taking that though. Ekblad for Marner is maybe, but moving Hoffman just makes the team worse... They'd lose their best D and TOP3 goal scorer in exchange to a great playmaker...which they already have in Barkov and Huberdeau.

SJ 19-20 Revised
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vorg_Vaarg</b></div><div>I love the Fast deal. Dunno if NYR would pull the trigger on that though. Tanev is someone I have thought about as well and SJ could use some extra toughness to play Vegas, LA ETC. Maybe Fast and a 3rd is more palatable? Trading Dilly is more about shedding salary to make room for the RFA’s.
Saku is a good player and would likely do well with Jumbo (almost anyone would) but I’d rather keep Sorensen for the existing chemistry and I love his feisty style of play. I think Marcus will put up 20 this year.</div></div>
Dillion is a good defender and someone who is very reliable and has the ability to play with high-end players as he demonstrated this year with his play next to Karlsson. I think the Rangers do this deal because they get a guy they can pair with Trouba and create a roster spot for one of their young players. I agree with your Sorenson take but I feel the sharks can trade him if they need Cap room in a pinch.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vorg_Vaarg</b></div><div>Long time Sharks fan here. If Braun can get back to how he was before last season then you guys got a really reliable defensive defenseman for at least a season. Even last year after his injury he started to play a bit better at the end and pretty well in the playoffs before a couple cheap shots from STL players to the head. He also took a head shot in the Vegas series. He’s a great PK’er as well. Sharks will miss Braun.</div></div>
Thank you for the optimism.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ItsBlowTime</b></div><div>At this point, I think a 2021 1st would get more traction in the Tanev trade. Gives a little insurance for that draft. 1st and Pysyk would be reasonable.</div></div>
That 1st would have to be a conditional depending on Tanev's health. He's quite injury prone.
