the market changes daily..if tatar has 13 goals and 35 points in February he wont be flipped for a first. His value last year is not his value now and its not his value next year. Who is he playing w? If he doesnt land on the first line then my projection wont be far off if MTL is a bottom end team in producing goals (which is likely) STOOPID

duh.... out of the 100 goals they score by the deadline Tatar will get in on 50 of them and be traded for a 1st..... let them dream hahah

FACTS. Also think Kreider is and will be better than atleast 50 percent of this team in 2022

how the 2001 nhl draft should have looked
stephen weiss was a beast.... no way he would be drafted 26th. He gave his draft team 6 years of 1st line production and left as a FA , thats better than drafting 90 percent of the players listed above him

he is elite but you are giving up 4 top 6 forwards potentially... this is not even close to fair

EK65 to NYR w/ extension
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SuprDave45</b></div><div>While I can't necessarily argue with the values at first glance, I don't think the Rangers are going to want to give up 2 high end LHD and get one RHD in return. In addition, your asking for the Rangers most established D man, which is essentially leaving them at square one with a hole on their first pair. Finally, the Rangers are also taking Ryan's 7.25m contract in return, that doesn't happen for free, so that should have an impact on the value you get in return.
Deal with Ryan included:
2020 1st
2019 4th
Libor Hajek
Vlad Namestnekov
Deal without Ryan included:
2020 1st
2019 2nd or John Gilmour, Ottawa's choice..
Libor Hajek
Vlad Namestnekov</div></div>
i agree with everything you are saying: the problem is that with NYI,VGK,SJS,TBL,NYR+ a few others all bidding for his services now it is not going to be a "fair" trade.
Skjei replaces EK65 and Hajek is in their pipe line to develop.
Namest is the cherry on top.
I would change the 2019 1st to the 2019 conditional second from TBL upon aditional review.
We lose the trade but at the end of the day we get A cornerstone player and it makes NY way more attractive for others to follow

too much Fluff not enough meat. I love EK fit on red wings, not a drastic change of environment in a historic franchise and Lidstrom-esque glow.
A.A+Nyquist+2019 1st+Svech without an extension for now but with an extension in place they could get more good pieces

really weird player to gauge. 1st round pick who finally showed why he was taken so high and his style motivated WSH through the playoffs i feel. I think his contract should be in the 5*5 range for washington and his trade value would be a 1st plus a roster player

NYR-TOR megadeal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hero9154</b></div><div>I honestly believe they went with Andersson last year because they though he would be NHL ready and able to slide into the 3C slot which is why they took him over higher upside/more talented guys in Vilardi and Middlestat. Now if they could redo last years draft with the foresight of the last 12 months, without a doubt they take Vilardi and Middlestat over Lias. I agree that he has future captain material and can play in all situations but what the Rangers are missing are elite scoring wingers which Nylander completely makes sense but Gordie and Gorton are very high on Kravstov.</div></div>
i dont know, i dont think that is true. Middlestat looks like a star but at the end of the day they might be comparable players. Im even less high on Vallardi. Andersson is a hockey player he may not be 90 points a year but hes a piece of a winning team and he had a pretty incredible year himself last year

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>I understand where you are coming from, and many would agree with you. However, I feel the Leafs can likely get Nylander signed for 8 years at 7 million and that contract will look amazing if Nylander progresses into a point a game guy. (which if you are a believer in advanced stats, he almost should have been a 30 goal 40 assist man but had bad puck luck to start the season. ) In 3 years his 7 million contract could be one of the best in the league.
That sort of production can't get replaced for that much money. I say keep him unless someone comes in and really overpays for him. For example if Minnesota game in and gave Dumba + for Nylander, that is something you'd have to consider.</div></div>
Yea i wouldnt be comfortable trading Skjei+ so i see where the maple leafs team needs come in. will be interesting first 12 months for Dubas if he can nab JT

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hero9154</b></div><div>I agree Nylander is a proven first line winger but the Rangers just drafted Kravstov who they think he has an elite skill set. Most NYL fans (myself included) would prefer to trade Andersson first out of those three you listed but it would also depend on Nylander willingness to agree to a long term deal.</div></div>
i think as of now i view it as Chytil>Lias>Kravstov....i see Andersson as that captain, leader, good contract, all sitution player down the line those guys have more intangible value than scoring wingers IMO . Nylander would love playing in NY, his dad loved it here and hes tight w Lundqvist and mika. Im sure he loves toronto but NYR would be right there on his list.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LoganOllivier</b></div><div>Absolutely no way TO trades Nylander for a guy they won't resign and a guy no one knows if he'll pan out. If TO gets Tavares, and thats a big if still, Nylander won't be the one to be traded. They'll move out depth guys for next years cap crunch and have cap room to upgrade spots in 2 years if young players rotating in can't handle the NHL. They'll have to be creative but its definitely doable. Trading Nylander would only happen if the Leafs got the better of the deal. Not because the guys you mentioned aren't good players but TO is just a better team with Nylander on it than off it. It only makes sense to move him if you are bettering your team.</div></div>
extremely fair, i agree i think you keep Matthews,Marner,Nylander and Reilly and dump anyone and everyone else necessary but Zuc would replace Nylanders productivity next year almost directly with an option to re-sign at his affordable rate and then Kravstov would be a flyer. I'd throw in a B+ prospect as well not that it would make a huge diff

nylander is a proven 1st line player, you may be right that they WONT trade kravstov but it doesnt mean they shouldnt. Nylander and Zib is a core you can build off of immediately. I prefer Lias and Chytil over Kravstov and thats why i went with him
