2018 Roster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DirtyDangles</b></div><div>Don't worry, I don't see the Flyers being interested in ROR anyways. Why would we do that to Patrick?</div></div>
ROR is very versatile... Nolan is still only 20. Putting Nolan at 3C with some skilled wingers and letting ROR handle 2nd line shut down duties could solve the depth problem .....he also can play eiter wing if needed

ROR for voracek would be more logical. Don't think sabres are looking to liquidate ROR into picks for future

i agree i don't think being a "3C" would be the deterrent but it just seems absurd to be able to fill this team w players year in and year out and all three being older than 30 and almost untradeable. Plus his quality of line mates would be ugggly outsdie of PP

Draft picks + young roster players (tank for Hughes)
i know this just a concept and youre going for the #1 but the rangers (if healthy) are a wild card team next year.
I dont think a single one of those trades gets accepted by the other team besides the Kreider deal which to me doesnt matter bc he is untouchable

NYR 2018
The namestnikov trade would be absolutely pointless, you can just sign him the cap space and either use him as a middle 6 W/C.... if anything at deadline if he is producing you'd be looking at a late first.

Its not even about value its just carolina has no reason to trade hanifin for a pick that they hope to become hanifin one day and then Dal Colle who is pretty much looking like a bust

fair enough, no one trusts allen but he is still better than average. Tarasenko shouldnt go anywhere. Down to trade anyone else except Parayko+Dunn

By end of season RNH was on McDavid's wing.</div></div>
i did like that look but i felt tht was more because season was sputtered and they wanted to guarantee top line production. In future keeping them all at C is provides team w better outlook if you can find capable young wingers

what an awful take, yea there is only 1 ovi but vladdy is the next best thing, 39,40,37,33 soooo a 37.25 goals per season player for 7.5M who has more than a 1 dimensional game.... that offer is no where close

Patches comes home
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>His production didn't equate to his salary in the slightest though. Throw in the injury after injury..... He had 1 good year in NYR where he scored 40+ but aside from that, was overpaid for what he brought. Is he a bad player? No, not at all but the 7.8M could of been spent on other players who would of earned it.
I think Patch still has lot to give so if you can give him a shorter but more expensive contract, I think its worth it. Something like 8x4, he'd be worth it. We'll see what happens.</div></div>
yea i think he can easily bounce back and give you 120 goals over 4 years id be comfy with 7x5 but i agree if he wants more than that id back out

i suppose, IMO the most efficient way to be routinely successful in this league is to stack at C position. I think MCD-Drai-RNH should stick together if oilers can handle the cap

Blues blockbuster with Edmonton
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Chopper02</b></div><div>Draisaitl has more value, but not all that much more considering he isn't Edmonton's number one center. I'd probably give the second round pick this year and not next.
Panarin's value depends on Columbus's view of Kyrou. I almost threw in Dubinsky from Columbus to even the playing field on that one. Berglund is signed for term to give them depth and Davidson and Jarmo Kekalainen are fans of his considering they drafted him.</div></div>
i just meant when you are dealing players of that calibre there is no point in throwing in a 2nd round pick like its a 1 for 1 and id take the 2 way C who is younger
i think the Panarin concept at this point is necessary overpayment or nothing atleast until mid season...A fair offer is not going to get it done...would you do Kyrou+Fabbri+1st if you knew an extension was imminent?

that is interesting... i like this idea. Kings would definitely look good with Kotkaniemi in the farm but i still think Canads can do better by drafting 3rd and trading Patches in a more routine method
