So Carolina a team that has an lots of D men and young ones coming up wouldn't want a player that fits into the style of forwards that they have? And your telling me VAN wouldn't want a productive top D man and a 2nd line center?

Fabbro will play with Hamhuis. Watson will be in the line up too. No chance tolvanen plays.

I mean it seems like a high value, but i could see a deal like that if it was just picks.

Alright if he is slumping. What would be the value of Subban for you? Just curious.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeastModeUnknown</b></div><div>Mikael might be enough for pesce tbh. First one I don't see why you can't get someone else of quality as well in that deal as you are giving up a top 10 defenseman, and a good Center in Turris.</div></div>
You need to watch Subban and Turris more.. Subban is becoming a major defensive liability. He's got the hype of 10 top ten from the media. His play is no where near that. Turris is currently 3rd, 4th line or scratched. His style of play does not fit with Laviolette's system and his value is not very high at the moment. His better days may be behind him already..
Maybe a 1st in 2020 instead of a 2nd would be better

Sharks decline too.
They would get a lot more for Dillion than that. They would move Braun before Dillion since he is older and has a high cap hit.

No one will pay duchene 9 miilion. Least I hope not. He just a death sentence for a team. He's great offensively in terms of goals and assists, but his CF% & FF% are below average and way below for someone who is suppose to be an "elite player"

19-20 Prepare for expansion draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>minervabone</b></div><div>So Fabbro is not signed yet and I will find it unlikely he will go over the 9 games this year.
I would expect Tolvanen to also be kept under 10 games this year (he is at 4 games now and last played in the NHL on Dec 11th).
If Mantha played 10 games in year 1 then that was mismanagement by Detroit to have let him play 1 additional game to lose 1 year of team control. :/</div></div>
I wonder if they try and signed him for the playoff run because there 3rd line D is not very good. Tolvanen still has a way to go on NHL ice he's gotten a lot better recently.
yeah it was, don't think it really matters that much now, other than paying him more money basically

19-20 Prepare for expansion draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>minervabone</b></div><div>* All first- and second-year NHL players, and all unsigned draft choices, will be exempt from selection (and will not be counted toward protection limits.
My interpretation is if they play the next 2 years, they would be considered second-year NHL players and be exempt.</div></div>
"A Player aged 18 or 19 earns a year of professional experience by playing 10 or more NHL games in a given NHL season
A player aged 20 or older (based on age on December 31 of calendar year in which the season starts) earns a year of professional experience by playing 10 or more Professional Games under a standard player contract in a given League Year."
So like during the Vegas Draft Anthony Mantha had to be protected because he played 10 games in year one and 60 games in year two.

Tolvanen and Fabbro would have played 2 years full season in the NHL in this situation and would have to be protected. Rinne is not even under contract for the 21-22 season. Saros is a RFA

Forwards: Foresberg, Johansen, Ardvidsson, Panarin, Hovart, Nylander, Tolvanen.
Defense: Josi, Fabbro (If he lives up to potential), Pesce (better deal Elkolm will need to be paid) D is where I'm flexible if Fleury actual becomes decent it could change everything or if Pesce goes to hell or if fabbaro doesnt pan out so..
