I don’t disagree that the Hawks need more size but I have a hard time invisioning them passing on Perreault if he is still there. From what I have seen him play his offensive ability puts him on the top 6 of any team in the league if not their top line. (In a few years from now mind you)

I like the mock.
Ass a fan of Vancouver, I definitely think Willander is an option for them if he's still on the board. With that said If Dvorsky is still on the board by the time they draft I sure hope they nab him. He could potentially be their 3C in a years time, (which is also a current glaring hole for the team) and could potentially fill Miller's 2C role if/when he starts to decline in the next couple of seasons.

I feel like between Chicago and STL it would. Especially if the the GM’s have a general idea of who each other would pick with the given selection. No way STL would let us trade up and pick Brindly.

Lets get it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wadejos123</b></div><div>I just think there's a way to get higher than 19 in the draft without taking OEL, if even if there isn't you're still getting an impact player at 19. In that 11-19 range i'm looking at a guy like Mathew Wood or Samuel Honzek. I see the hawks trying to add some size to a F group that really needs it</div></div>
I would like to reiterate that I am not advocating for sending Murphy or ANY picks back to VAN. But taking on OEL for that 11th OA (plus) while NOT giving up the 19th is a no brainer, IMO. I would also like to add size like Wood, Barlow, Honzek, and/or Danielson. With both the 11th and 19th OA picks we could add two of them, or one of them and a Moore/Yager/etc. None of those guys are coming directly to the NHL, either. Which means if they come up for the 24-25 season, their ELC's will end at the same time as OEL's contract and CHI will all of a sudden have $7.26M in cap space to resign them and maybe even bring in another player. Same with guys like Nazar, Korchinski, etc. OEL's contract will fall of just in time for raises to start happening and the "win now" moves to begin. For the sake of the rebuild, this is a no brainer, and I'm not sure why so many people are so adamantly against OEL. I promise you if we did that and ended up with a guy like Moore with that pick, you and everyone else will be singing KD's praises in a couple years about it.

Double trade up
Kind of crazy, but I like it. Good idea.
Edit: the Granlund deal is 2 years, I just noticed… so here’s a small tweak I would include to make it more complicated/slightly better for chicago.
First trade Murphy to CBJ for some package including the LAK 1st, then start the cap dump taking process from there.
22 for 14 + Granlund
14 for 11+ Garland.
Take Bedard/Leonard/Gulyayev with the first three picks.

think youre overvaluing granlund but I dont hate the idea. I just doubt davidson will make 8 picks in the first 3 rounds. Would rather see us move some of those 2nds to move up and/or get an additional 1st rounder

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ginandtacos</b></div><div>That would be an overpay for Murphy, and the VAN fans on here seem pretty adamant that the team does not need to give up assets to unload Myers. He seems like a good buyout candidate or VAN just puts up with his contract for one more year.</div></div>
Yeah. Even with max retention, this is probably too much. JJP's ceiling is just that high. It's too early for BUF to move on at such a valuation. I'm sure CHI could make the value work by maybe including the TBL pick or even the BOS pick, if they can get their hands on it, but even then I think JJP is probably untouchable. They'll want to see one more full season from him AT THE VERY least, before they make an decisions like this.

Im fine to leave Nylander personally. He is a good player no doubt but what would his next deal look like coming to CHI and that is a lot of draft capital which KD has been preparing

Moves Id like to see happen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gretzkyghosts</b></div><div>Agree with every one above!
Why trade him for nothing just because the Sabres have prospects one, or two, or three years away.
Fine, if you think the hawks do not want Olofsson, Buffalo cannot force the deal.
Buffalo would be foolish to trade him for essentially nothing.
Even if he were a "one trick pony" (which he is not), he does that trick exceptionlly well.
<strong>ONLY</strong>, 23 NHL fowards score faster than his 1.6 goals/60.
Wadejos123 so while getting Olofsson for a fifth may be "Moves Id like to see happen" it is not going to happen.
Most of the Sabre fans above would like to see Tanev traded to Buffalo 50% retention for a 3rd also, but that trade will not happen either.
Unless Karmanos can get a decent return for Victor, he will be a Sabre as they have not only a roster spot for him, but sufficient cap space to carry him.</div></div>
Even I can't argue with this because it's essentially what the Hawks would be doing. My only concern and also why I think he's being proposed to often is that is PP days might ne numbered. Quinn...VERY good. IF that's the case...value is very much in jeopardy.

VAN probably has the worst cap position in the league, because of how many mediocre/declining players they have making $5M+.
I think they do that trade in a heartbeat with Myers, consider it with Garland, and probably don't do it with Boeser.

Better for Bedard
Me likey! That's a creative deal for Boeser. Only change I'd suggest is if Hawks pull off those three trades then don't sign AA and resign Bjork instead for the 3rd line. Just as fast as AA but better defensively and can PK. But otherwise looks good!
