I'm with you, it's just that I don't like the fact that he's our 3rd best dman, should be 4th.
That Suter signing is one of the worst ones Nill ever did, pure garbage.

Ooooofff that is a bad deal. You don't sign depth to term, ever.
CF users once again demonstrating a total lack of understanding in risk of term is pretty funny. This contract is awful and is extremely unlikely to age well in the near ish future let alone the next half decade +
Good for him though.

I don't think you're getting Bourque for Lundkvist. I think the most Dallas would give up for him in terms of prospects is Dellandrea.

I’m with you.
Hronek is my first choice.
Lundkvist for depth.
Barrie is a maybe if the ask is low.
With Seider in Detroit and an inquiry on Petry, you’d have to think Hronek is out. I could be wrong, but I believe Hronek’s name floated around in the rumor mill this past season or the year before.

both of them would be moronic for Dallas to go after

If San Jose is willing to eat $2-3M on Burns, it’s not an automatic “no” from Dallas (depends on what they want in return too)
I’ve said all along, if the Habs are willing to make a deal NOT involving Bourque, Stankoven, Johnston, or a 1st then there MIGHT be something there, but simply put Petry isn’t worth any of the assets listed above, even with retention.
Holl I’d be okay with as a #3 RD. He’d be very cheap too
Barrie isn’t an ideal top-4 at all, but he’d be cheap.
Hronek’s likely going to cost more than I’d want to pay, but I’m at least asking Detroit what he costs
Lundkvist is a fine option, but isn’t quite ready to jump into the lineup full time yet. He’s a good long-term choice for Dallas, but doesn’t provide much in the short term.

Hey Dallas and RW fans
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TampaBayLightning22</b></div><div>Kent Hughes is delusional, Without retention he will need to include sweeteners to move Jeff Petry. He's doesn't have tons of value around the league. He will be 35 in early December making $6,250,000 x 3 years most sane GMs don't think that's good value unless he can up around 40 to 50 points per season these next 3 years or so.</div></div>
Even though I'm inclined to agree with your valuation, there's likely going to be some dumb GM who will pay a fortune for him to risk something. It happens way too often.
I'm extremely annoyed by some Habs fans who apparently think this way in pretty much every potential trade there is, aftereffect of that Chiarot trade.

I’m just praying that GM isn’t Nill. I’m sure he feels he has to replace Sekura though.
