I’m very happy, now I only need him to get claimed to plan the parade.

Major Retool
Risto is bad. Holl has been a healthy scratch. Lindell and Suter are already bad and overpaid. Add Risto and Holl and we would never leave our own end. Guri with Faksa is bad. Dell has one point in eight games in the AHL. I don’t see him getting top six minutes in the NHL any time soon. He’s too busy trying to be gritty and hard to play against because that’s probably what Bones and Nill told him they wanted. Drop Stroza and Carpenter for Damiani and Bourque. We need skill and playmaking not more grinders. And with the money you save there you can keep Klinger and stay far far away from Risto. Harley over Holl. Been very unimpressed with Kivi this year as well since we’re talking…

I like this a lot. I’m all for keeping Klinger if we’re moving on from Bones. Tho if we are keeping Klinger I’d call it more of a re tool and not a rebuild. As already stated I don’t think Edmonton is in the Dobby market any more and I’m not sure Pitt would still want Fox, but as you said those have been popular trades leading up to the season. Moving those two def makes keeping Klinger easier

You forgot to deal Comeau! We could get a king's ransom for him!!!
I admire the work you put in there. You must be the 4th person to suggest a sell out scenario in last days.
Maybe Radulov could be traded, with 50% retention, to the Canes. He would be perfect for them in a PO run. To make this work in terms of $$$, we could take Ian Cole in return with picks and/or prospects.

Next year
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Phleb2</b></div><div>I rather we sign Manson than PK.
What would be the return on Kling, Pavelski and Rads? Part of those return could be on our roster next year, especially the return on Kling.</div></div>
1st round picks plus prospect or later pucks for Pavelski and Klingberg, 1st for Radulov (if Seth Jones and Foglino are bringing in 1st round picks, I don’t see why not) hopefully at least one or two from teams that think they can make it but miss playoffs and the picks aren’t lottery protected.
Could also retain salary to sweeten the deal since they are all UFA anyway, with that money still coming off the books at season’s end it doesn’t matter for us cap wise and could help the other team cap wise and spending wise.

Was going to make this exact point.
If the past two seasons are a sign of how he’ll maintain/accelerate his growth, this is a great deal.
Worst case scenario? Yeah…Wennberg 2.0.

trying a couple different thangs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WallStreet83</b></div><div>Dallas does it if Jones re-signs otherwise they pass, that's a lot to give up for one year.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SociallyHawkward</b></div><div>On the flip side, if jones agrees to an extension before the trade then dallas has to give up a lot more than that</div></div>
On the flip flip side, if Dallas picks up Jones it’s going to be damn near impossible to get Klingberg & Jones both signed to extensions next offseason.
That’s a lot to give up for one year of Jones OR essentially being forced to lose Klingberg.
