Pesce costs more I'd imagine. If Carolina would do that I'd do it but I can't imagine that deal moves the needle.

Honestly I dont know why you're getting so pissed for nothing, I litterally said in the description: ''I know its a much harder job than that to be a GM and he never could of knew how bad these moves would turn out but just to look back for fun''. Oy vie!!

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Kupari is older? What's the matter with you? One was born on March 15, one was born on December 20.
"Hasn't exactly thrived in the NHL"?!?!? He's established himself as a third- or fourth-line center on a playoff team, which is more than Abbotsford Canuck Hoglander or the Vancouver Canucks have done. Yes, that's a downgrade. Take off the homer glasses.</div></div>
You seem to be upset for no apparent reason. Kupari was drafted a year before Hoglander but has less NHL success. Kupari with 11 points in 51 games this season with underlying numbers that suggest he is hardly more than a replacement level player right now. Hoglander has much more NHL success. The only reason he is in the AHL is to maintain his waiver elegibility.

Kupari is older, and hasn't exactly thrived in the NHL, similar to Hoglander. Hardly a downgrade

Trade Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>migsahoy</b></div><div>is garland one of those "needs a change of scenery" type of trades? haven't been keeping track of vancouver but i liked him in arizona</div></div>
He's in a bit of a weird spot. He was great last year, but he's struggled quite a lot this year (though that could be said for pretty much every Canuck not named Pettersson). The Canucks did bring in Tocchet as their new coach, and Garland played very well under him in Arizona. I think there's one of two scenarios for Garland. Either A, he plays very well and rebounds under Tocchet so the Canucks keep him, or B, he doesn't play well under Tocchet and the Canucks trade him in a change of scenery type deal for someone with a similar track record/contract who also needs a change of scenery.

You’re acting like Robertson is an A+ level prospect, but he’s not. He’s also a winger, which the Canucks don’t need, injury prone, and hasn’t produced much at the NHL level

He put up 32 goals and 68 points playing half the year injured season. He is definitely top 20, and if he keeps it up, he could scratch top 15 or even top 10.

Centre is the easiest position to fill? a #1 Centre is the easiest position to fill? Dobson is good but he has less value than Hughes and Hughes is more than a point per game, the only things that Dobson does better than hughes is be big and shoot. Hughes is better in literally every other facet and hughes isnt near as valuable as pettersson. Petey is probably going to get selke votes this year and probably a few hart votes too. You would have to throw Raty, Dobson ++ to get Petey and it isnt even an argument. Yes RD's are super valuable but more valuable than a 1C? No chance

Other than being an overpay for Petey, alot of really good pieces going back to Vancouver here, I could see them not wanting to trade him. That said they do get a top 4 RHD, a top centre prospect, a good defensive centre to fill the void left and then a first round pick this year. Trades like this just don't happen anyways.
