<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WhoCares_ItsAFantasyGame</b></div><div>Exactly.. it's what they view as a must. they have Dach for the center, is he out on LITR for treatment and much need rest like they did with Monahan.. No rush to come back.. Take all the time you need to recover at 100% or is he really not able to play at all. If he's still a risk next year, the shift may well go for a Center like you said.

I Passed on the Russians, too much risk with everything going on right now. Players being held in the KHL, a father suddenly killed when his kid was a foot away from the NHL.. You don't want to recruit and let them rot over there.

If they do go for Dickinson, while he's got points, he's also keeping his plus minuses .. 70PTS but a freakish +56.. No matter how good you are, keeping the high + is hard.</div></div>

Agreed. That's why i think Dickinson is the best all around LHD of this draft. He is insane! We will see who they take, and no matter what, unless they take a dumb huge reach, it should be a good pickup. They also very well could be hoping that they get Hagens next year, so that would help fix that as well. With Mallioux, maybe ti would be smart to get a good guy in Dickinson, and trade guys like Hutson if they must down the road. Having too many prospects is better than not having enough. Realistically, i could also really see them taking Lindstrom depending on where they pick. It will be easier to guess once we know for sure where teams are picking at.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WhoCares_ItsAFantasyGame</b></div><div>Not disagreeing, I think it's a valid point. I just wonder where and who'll be available. Another one is Eiserman, depending on which list you look at Bob McKenzie (TSN) list, he's putting him at no 4. Bob ain't crazy, he's the guy who was saying Wright could be a bust and Slaf was the way better option.. A year later.. We can agree to Bob's mumblings.. Then Lindstrom, Catton and Helenius ..

I did an AGM for draft, My preferences would be for the first picks starting at #4 depending on where MTL goes and who' available:

1. Dickinson - While another Defenseman, he's a big guy who moves the puck and gets in the pluses; You can't skip over a player like that. You get another Reinbacher type player who'll be a major decision maker during games. You suddenly have Ghule, Reinbacher, Dickinson, Mailloux, Matheson, Xhekaj.. Harris, Struble as being interchangeable with Xhekaj when needed and in your farm or development you have Barron, Hutson, Sobolev, etc.. So you have the Top 6 you always wanted, plus other you can trade out.
2. Eiserman - seems more like an offensive guy able to play both ways and is at a bigger stature than Connelly with a whopping 40lbs more for almost the same height. He also defends better in the corners and is able to use his quick shot for goals. We get another Cole Caufield but on the right wing, at a bigger size. You suddently give Dach some power offense to his left side.
3. Lindstrom - another forward at center with offensive potential but with size compared to Catton;
4. Catton - He's a good player, center and would need 1 year in Laval, but would be another forward with scoring potential they need;
5. Helenius - Another forward with lots of offensive potential.</div></div>

There's some good choices there. Personally, I like Lindstrom, and Catton's game as a whole over Eiserman's, but if you want a pure goal scorer, then you go him. Dickinson is good, and im happy to see someone if valuing him right with how much top LHD there are in Silayev, Dickinson, Buium.. but i would say that Dickinson is the best out of all three of them. Silayev is good, especially if you want a guy that is 6'7 on our blueline. No matter who you pikc out of those you listed, you are going to get a good player, it just depends on what they want. For me, a center man makes perfect sense, but defensive depth never hurts either. Lets not forget that they have 2 1sts, and 2 2nds this year, so they may even be able to pull a few strings, and get a good defence man, and forward.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WhoCares_ItsAFantasyGame</b></div><div>Not whining at all... I'd actually move on that.. To get Crosby in MTL.. I think it would be a steal.. Personally I'd give Dvroak (50% retention), Barron, Harris, Beck, Norlinder, WIN 1st, and 2X 2nd rounders. If they want I'd even forget about the 2X 2nd rounders and provide WIN 1st AND CAL's 1st, but would remove either Harris or Barron form the equation. This would need to be with that Crosby signs for 3 years in MTL (around 7M$yr probably) . He'd be a great asset for the Habs and the money cash cow that he'd bring in.. OUch..

If Gretzky was able to forget the C on his jersey, I think Crosby can take an A instead and leave the C to Suzuki and teach him.

I'm saying Dubas does worse trades than that.. You have a way better view than him of what to get for Crosby. He'd trade in his 2023 Ferrari for a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, would still have to pay 30K$ at 6.6% interest for 8 years on it and think he won the deal..

I bleed for Pens fan.. I do like the Pens, they should have a better team in order to at least try one more time, but Dubas isn't a builder.. He'll destroy the team to get that first overall then 2 or 3 top 3 picks and still be unable to figure out why he can't win series. Just look at what he did in TO.. Really.. You have Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, and Rielly.. still he never woke up to figure out he also needed defensive defensemen, a good goalie and some grit players. He got more point makers that don't block and don't carry the puck.. That's a huge hole on defense and that'll hurt your team. He's doing the same bringing in Karlsson.. Should've gotten a player with less points, but more +'s and grit around the net...

I hope the Sr Management open their eyes with the attitude Crosby showed in the locker room after that awful trade for Guentzel..</div></div>

I didn’t say you were the one whining, I totally agree with you (on that part).

Crosby would have the C. Suzuki would obviously give it up, and would gladly do so.

Pens will rebuild through the draft and bringing in young players. It will take time. So all the vets eventually get moved out. It’s the right thing to do for the club. Pens fans had a lot of great years. They’ll survive.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>WhoCares_ItsAFantasyGame</b></div><div>No but his past moves show how bad his hypothetical future moves will potentially be given his track record in understanding what a team needs to perform with a top line that any NHL team would love to have and be ready to trade a piece in order to ensure that the blue line will be as effective as the front lines. Dubas ain't that guy and is full of himself, he showed it in the series going after fans like an idiot. He's a GM of an NHL team, had he been at that level, he would've let fans scream whatever they want and not even given them a second look. He was frustrated by the team HE built over the years, and went off on fans of the opposing team. He has shown no ability to bring up a team while the window was there, and he has shown the attitude of a 5 year old.

This is what many have talked about for years about coaches who are unable to actually makes their teams better yet again and again get second, third, fourth teams to go in and mess them up. Dubas was a bad player agent, and bad GM..

I'm actually hoping he falls flat and makes the Pens lose this and next season so they can realize what they did and bring in someone with experience in seeing potential, seeing line efficiency, and capacity to bring in players who will mesh within the team strategies and play. Unfortunately the window for Crosby, Malkin and Letang to raise one more will probably be closed by then.

Heck, last year the Flyers were bad, they took in Brière from their farm team, are giving him a chance and he's got them mid-pack by making moves that will enforce a better team for Tortorella (Yes, I see that I talk about the old guard getting 50 chances from team to team and bring up a team that gave Torts a chance.. But he's working with a GM who's got more hockey and locker room efficiency sense than a guy who was GM for the past 5 years and took the position of President of Hockey Operations and GM of Pittsburg because he's so immersed in himself.

He should've just done what he was supposed to do and take the Presidency then hire a GM etc..

Look, I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything. While I'm a Habs fan, I also love the Penguins, LAK, COL, EDM, and Canucks. So if anything, I would've been happier had another team got him, like Calgary or Winnipeg, Sharks.. Whatever since they are not on my game watch list. I just hope the Pens can get someone who will see the current state and know that they need to start thinking about replacing Crosby, Malkin and Letang before they get hit with retirement news.</div></div>

No I know haha - no fighting here, just dude being bros talking about hockey lol. All I'm trying to say is that Dubas(and his acquisition of Karlsson) isn't the reason the Pens are where they are in the standings - they are a league average PP from being 2nd in the Metro. Dubas doesn't run the PP, that falls on the players and coaches. And also, I'm going to judge him based on the moves he makes. So far he's been fine. If he makes terrible moves in the future then I will point it out and agree with you.

Also, he can't even move Crosby, Malkin or Letang if he wanted to. All have full NMCs.
