Boston Trade
Boston isn't trading their top 2 center prospects to dump a year of Backes (Even with Zucker coming back). They can buy him out in the off-season.
The 2nd basically is for taking on Backes contract, so that leaves Studnicka + Beecher for Zucker. No thanks

Three Team Trade
MTL could just skip the Wild and get Hanifin for themselves.

Wild/Hurricanes Trade Solves Problems
I like the Lack trade in theory, but the fact is, he is not an upgrade to Stalock or Kuemper. He's pretty horrible! However, if Carolina would be willing to take on Pominville's contract...I would probably pull the trigger on this deal and hope that competition for the backup spot would get both Stalock and Lack to up their games. The problem is...the Wild put too much faith in hope to begin with...

I really like it from a Wild perspective, and I like your hendricks and polak signings. From a Canes perspective, I am not sure getting rid of a goalie just to not have three makes sense but I could be wrong? Seems like a great way to open up our options though. Those contracts for Nino and Granny look good as well, I would even add some term if they stayed at that cap hit.

Personally I don't think you need both Kunitz and Hendricks, lots of young left wingers coming up and I don't think think he'd sign for that amount regardless

IMO, any trade involving a d-man going out would need to have one coming back...and/or have a forward going out too.
Something like: Dumba and Haula for Landeskog and Nicolas Meloche.</div></div>
I do too. Just hard for a trade with that big of names happening within the Division.

IF forced to choose between Nino or Granny
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wildfan5611</b></div><div>Signing an ineffective Ryan White makes little sense with Tuch, Kunin, Schroeder and Graovac already under the cap. That Hanzal/White trade was arguably the worst trade in franchise history and everyone would love to just move on. If your signing either of them... I'm signing Hanzal but there is no cap space and he wants long term. The only player I'm giving long term in this UFA class is Oshie.
Plus, Tavares is a good player don't get me wrong... but with Eriksson Ek, Kunin coming as future 1,2 centers I doesn't make a lot of sense to create a logjam especially with Koivu being a UFA next year. Wild need scoring on the wings, not more defensive centers. Brass also wants Coyle at center long term from what I've heard from Russo.</div></div>
That's a lot to put on a couple of mid-round 1sts saying they'll be a 1/2 center punch for the future. Granlund was supposed to be the 1C of the future too. Tavares is already an elite 1C, whom is relatively young still.
Wild don't need more scoring wings, they need an elite scoring wing. Parise, Zucker, Granny, Nino, and Coyle are all 20g+ wings. Pommer and Stewie can chip in 10-15g a year.
In movie terms the Wild have the director (BB), supporting cast, Suter and Dub are good co-starts, but are missing the star of the show. The Wild been trying to make a movies with Steven Seagal quality as the star.
