Agreed, but it’s honestly a fair price (although maybe the 1st becomes a third of Stone doesn’t resign). Thank you for not being one of those “Stone is worth Tkachuk” guys.

Would rather have Bennett over Simmonds imo. Wouldn’t mind trading something else for Simmonds though.

Matthew Tkachuk is grittier, scores as much as Stone, and plays well in his own zone (I concede Stone is better in his own zone than Tkachuk) but Tkachuk is 21. Calgary would never trade Tkachuk for Stone. Look at their point totals man. You’re not getting a proven player of that caliber for a guy who might not stick around after the season.

Matthew Tkachuk is a better player than Mark Stone and way younger and is probably the future captain of Calgary. Mark Stone is really good, but people seem to think OTT will get way more for him than they actually will. 1st Rounder, a really good prospect, a blue chipper and a roster player is the best OTT will get imo.

Panarin is an absolute beast man. Even if he walks his price is still massive because of what he brings to the table. Don’t trade for Bob if your getting one of him or panarin. We need a backup tendy, not a starter. Use that same package and add Dube and Valimaki and take out smith.

Also, would rather have Bennett over Simmonds. More upside, less money. Similar point totals this year between the two. Bennett has played better than his stat line suggests imo. So basically don’t trade Bennett and fill that hole with Simmonds.

Honestly I don’t believe the flames need to pull the trigger on a goalie trade just yet. Especially not for someone with the injury history of quick. Rittich has been very good, and I’d like to see how he develops. If he falters, then they should acquire a goalie. Definitely not Quick though.

He’s on pace for more than 90 actually. And he’s 21. I’d say he deserves to get paid, though Calgary might convince to take less.

Valimaki might be too much of an ask. But I do agree that the Flames would need to give up a little more than that for Schenn.

Not close on either of them.</div></div>
Not close on Dzingel, but turn the 2nd into a first for quick plus another good prospect and that’s probably enough given Quick’s injuries. However, flames probably wouldn’t want another over 30 goalie. So there wouldn’t be enough need for Calgary to pull the trigger on that.

Dorion might make poor choices yes, but even he’d know Tkachuk is better than Stone (same stats but way younger) and therefore is off limits.

I’d give Rittich a whirl as the number one for now and if he starts to struggle and Mike Smith continues to struggle, then a trade would make sense.

You’d think that Nylander would’ve been signed by now if he only wanted 6.75 mill. Imma guess that the Giordano cap wouldn’t impact him in terms of how much money he wants.

You know, Dalton Prout has only played 1 game. No one else on the team is really considered an enforcer. I fail to see your point.

I feel like people are overvaluing Bob... because he’s a rental for most teams should he be traded. I think that the trade is close to being acceptable. 1st rounders instead of a second and maybe another prospect or would do it.

He mentioned that Leafs and Flames have been scouting ones nother and I mentioned that probably just normal pro scouting of each team bc they play each other in the next couple days and chances are not trade related
Pretty clear to follow along</div></div>
***Nylander is NOT presently playing for the leafs is what I meant to say. Meaning, if the Rangers sent scouts to the leafs game... there would be no Nylander for them to see.
