idk much about those two prospects going back, but this feels like a sharp underpay. Lysell or Poitras not being included probably shuts down the deal.

Better delete that Blues trade, or you will have an army opposing you in notime.
You paid for a 4x3 dump, but I don't see any payment for Buchnevich.

I could see a Lizotte for Lindgren trade happening if Talbot and/or Rittich want too much money on an extension, but the Kings aren't adding a draft pick.</div></div>
ive never really seen other teams show as high of value interest for lizotte as the kings fans on this site, so if he is priced out, i dont really see teams paying that much for him. I can understand not wanting milano back here, but I really cant see a team paying more than a 4th/5th for his rights. I sorta see him being unqualified if he isnt moved in a deal like this. Just speculating.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AEcho</b></div><div>NSH doesn't touch the Mangiapane deal. He hasn't proven that he is worth that cap hit. Novak has produced more than him and is payed 2.3 mil less than him. He had a career year and signed a big contract on that and then just hasn't lived up to it.
I would also rather just resign Carrier than go after Rutta. But I do like the Walker signing for the right side so NSH can have Schenn as the 7th D.
If NSH could get Gourde retained for that price, I'd be pretty pumped, but I feel like SEA would want more considering how up against the cap they are now and have Berniers to resign among other young forwards.</div></div>
At 1 year the cap shouldnt really play into account that much. He still brings an element that is what Trotz looks for and he fits this system excellently. The player upgrade should still be noteworthy even if he is more of a 4m guy now.

This is what differentiates fan opinion from GM action. Fans don't like giving term to 30 year olds, but that doesnt stop GMs from signing them. Roy feels like a treliving target and a pretty nice slot in for TOR, and given the competition for him he isn't going to come cheap.

the motivation here for vancouver is simply to shed a year of contract. the player skill difference should warrant that value difference.

players usually get moved for less in the offseason than the TDL. See Sean Durzi last year. I could see Harris going for a 3rd straight up though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>ZERO need for any of those signings and offersheet, beyond the original RFA's and Flower.
Khusnutdinov has looked really good, but he's definitely not ready for a top-six role. Rossi is and already has been, and Eriksson-Ek has looked fantastic on the top line as 1C.
But let's put JEE back into a 3rd line grinder role, where his 30 goals this year mean nothing. 🙄</div></div>
just because he is on the third line doesnt mean he is a grinder... you guys have 3 good centers finally, so im just spacing the depth to allow for 3 scoring lines... the top line is obviously an attempt at a russian chemistry connection
As for UFAs, almost never does a team go through the offseason with no moves. Regardless of if you dont think they need anyone, someone will be signed to plug some spot. I think the wild have a spot for maybe 1 more middle sixer or depth dman. Doesnt have to be these guys, I just think they fit the mold of what the wild are building.

two cheap struggling young dmen
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>The timing of the two threads and the fact that on the original one you were told you were severely undevaluing our players yet you didn't heed the advice or even consider rebutting why you think our players have less value is why everyone (me included) thinks this is retaliatory, if it's not then please explain why you think Harris is struggling or that Matheson who is currently ranked top 10 in league scoring on such a weak team isn't worth more than Chairot got traded for, or is your argument that Chairot was a better D man?
Edit*** my apologies about thinking this was a Habs thread, I should have looked at that, I was kind of surprised at the creation of the Habs thread (which did totally seem like a troll thread given the timing and that, hence why I called it out) since I did think we were having a good civil conversation about Hronek vs Matheson even though neither of us were going to bend on our evaluations lol</div></div>
sure, sometimes ill see a post and ill make a team, but i come on here for general interest in hockey - i know I have a rep of not being fond of the habs, but my primary interest is never to cause arguments or get roped into them. The timing does align, but the intent is not to troll or snap back. If the panthers had a 2nd in this post, I would probably say Harris could be worth it? I would disagree that he is really worth much more than that.
And it isnt that I think Matheson isn't valuable, he could get solid value. But the degree of upgrade for the canucks to weaken their right side, get older, and go at a riskier dman would need to be substantially larger than a 2nd.

This is a panthers post? Why are you continuing to try and beef when I have no intention on escalating this? I don't recall needing permission to make trades on a website that is meant to be for fun, nor do I take a post so personally that I am intentionally going to snap back with a troll thread. If I was troll posting or tickled by your thread, my response on it wouldn't have been conversational. I simply don't believe Harris, or heck even Matheson are worth what you think they are. That does not mean that I am going to angrily flame post for no reason.

I've made one habs thread since september. i appreciate you attempting to stir the pot after I kept my reply on your thread amicable. I also like how habs fans can sharply overvalue their players but its the end of the world the second a different fanbase underrates one of their players.

There's no grounds to the Canuck deal. Getting older for a slight cap decrease for a LHD when our right side is weak would be an awful move. Matheson may have had a decent year, but its more than likely a one off, and certainly not worth getting older for. I dont think the difference in value is only a 2nd either, but its the fit that doesnt make sense more than the value.

Ottawa is giving up a top 6C (who sure has struggled due to injury, but is still valuable), 2 likely high 1sts, a previous first and a goalie one season removed from a good season for a middle six expiring UFA and a better goalie. That's an awful lot out for the potential of an improved situation in net.
