Jonas Brodin?
would love Brodin. In fact, he is the best player to target via trade IMO. They should go after a Dman on a team that will lose someone to Vegas. de Haan, Brodin/Dumba, etc... Those are the deals Sweeney has to look for int he next two weeks.
Similar to the Dougie Trade, rather than losing the player for nothing, the Wild should unload Dumba or Brodin for high end picks, or a package of picks and prospects. Ironically, Boston is one of the best fits to do so. #18, Zboril, and a young F (B level prospect, or maybe a young veteran like Spooner) is a very good starting point.

What it will take for Dumba/Brodin for the teams(in my understanding) interested
Vegas will take either Dumba or Brodin, who ever isnt protected for nothing. The Wild's bets play (unless they can land Drouin which I dont think is likely) is to trade Brodin for draft picks (similar to the Dougie Hamilton deal two years back)... Mutliple high end draft picks, or a combo of expansion exempt prospects and a first round pick is the best and more realistic move.
Ironically, I think Boston is the best fit. Boston can send #18 overall, along with Zboril/Lauzon, & another B-prospect Forward (Spooner if the Wild want him, or maybe a young winger as well).
Wild fans keep saying no when broached about deals above, saying Zboril wouldnt crack their top 6 LHD in the system, etc.... Bottom Line: Better to get a 1st round pick back, add a guy who will be playing every night within 2 years, and also getting another younger F - than losing Brodin for nothing....

Bruins
Just curious, do you have the Bruins protecting Colin Miller in the expansion draft? I think Kevan Miller is 100% protected by Boston, given his big improvements this year. He can play both side of the blueline, which Colin and McQuaid failed to do. He is slowly developing into a solid shutdown type Dman, who is able to play either blue line spot... Under contract for 3 more years at only $2.5 AAV. That is a player you have to keep IMO and hope they do.
Understand fans like Colin Miler, but it is just my hope Kevan is protected, and McQuaid is selected by Vegas.
Otherwise I like the creativeness of the roster. Heinen gets another crack on the line that turns your average player into a 15-20 goal scorer. Backes steadies the 3rd line, the 2nd line has solid firepower (though I am not sure they is enough to land Kane). I also think it is more likely Schaller is back at 900k, and DeBrusk is in Prov for another year.

Muzzin
Even though it may expose K Miller (VGN would essentially be choosing Kevan or Colin Miller, and I'm guessing they go K), I love that trade idea...I want Kevan Miller on this team after his play to end the year - his physical nature, ability to play either the left or right side 3rd pairing D man, would be tough to lose in the expansion draft, Muzzin could be a special add. Cheap salary for 3 more years as he plays through his prime, and who knows Colin Miller could still be the VGN target after all.
