Nope. Retained players can't be traded back to the team retaining on them for one year.

Probably not. This isn’t the year to go in with all our injuries.
Maybe an Askarov+ for Mercer swap could make sense

If the goalies catch fire this team could go pretty deep in a playoff run.

Boldy almost exclusively plays RW. Despite being a lefty. He's similar to Zuccarello in that regard.

My shot at Tkachuk
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ZPirtle</b></div><div>I think those are the only realistic pieces the Preds could offer to get it under the cap and add forward depth. Jeannot-Joey-Tkachuk would be a very tough line to play against.</div></div>
I hated the idea of putting Duchene back at center but I think keeping him with Forsberg would keep that line productive plus Jeannot-Joey-Tkachuk would be a nasty line to play against.
They may want Tomasino in place of Tolvanen but I’d rather add another piece like Svechkov instead as a cheap producer like Tomasino is needed in Nashville in this scenario because they’re so close to the cap

Meyers actually has a negative cap hit next year if he gets bought out. So leafs might actually say yes

Forsberg leaves
I don’t think Toronto does this. That’s 2 million on a dman that spent half the year buried in the minors. If Nashville retained half so that the cap COULD be buried, then I’m sure Toronto would do it.

Window extended
MTL trade is a <strong>BIG</strong> overpay by NSH. No chance NSH is packaging Carrier with a 1st for Savard and Allen. Just a brutal trade. I honestly can't even get my mind around that deal...
And when it comes to trading for a guy like Laine, I'm just not sure it fits. He's going to command at least $8m long-term. And if NSH plans on re-signing Forsberg as well, do they want so many $8m+ players on the team? The whole idea this off-season was to get younger, cheaper, faster, and tougher. Laine is still young, but I think his contract is just going to be to much for NSH. As a Forsberg replacement? Sure. But then it also depends on whether Poile wants to trade a guy he just traded up for in the draft to get-- I can't see him being too likely to move L'Heureux right now. And Tolvanen's contract is just so good that I don't see any reason to trade him. He's not producing points right now, but if you actually watch him play he is playing very solid hockey.

Non-Competitive Rebuild
No interest in that BUF trade. I’d much rather have fewer years and fewer dollars with Johansen. BUF would have to add quite a bit more to get NSH’s attention, even with Johansen‘a offensive decline.

Dont just post Decline or Accept lets here your opinions

I originally had Juolevi a 2nd and 4th for Fabbro but I could see NASH fans typing "Decline!".</div></div>
Even with the current proposal, I've got no interest in it for the Preds. Sure, Fabbro has had his growing pains, and may top out as just a #4 dman. I'm not nearly as optimistic about Juolevi though. I don't think he makes it at the NHL level. His age and left handedness work against him too, from the Preds' perspective. With NSH looking to re-sign Ekholm, and Josi having lots of term left, the Preds don't have many openings on the left side for the foreseeable future. Davies and Farrance would have the inside track for that last roster spot over Juolevi.

Fair Fiala trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SevenLeg</b></div><div>At the time I thought Nashville robbed Minnesota</div></div>
That's because NSH is terrible at developing offensive talent. It's unfortunate that NSH gave up on Fiala so early -- but supposedly there was locker room issues with Fiala in NSH, which I'm sure facilitated this trade. Definitely a shame -- Forsberg - Johansen - Tolvanen // Fiala - Duchene - Tomasino would be a pretty exciting top 6 for NSH right now.

Quiet Free Agency
I could see this very well being the case -- though I just read that BOS isn't qualifying Ritchie, and I could definitely see Poile overpaying him because he is a Hynes-type of player... hopefully I'm wrong.
I'd roll these forward lines though:
Forsberg - Duchene - Granlund
Tolvanen - Johansen - Kunin
Jeannot - Glass - Tomasino
Trenin - Sissons - Cousins/Olivier

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ZPirtle</b></div><div>How much is Landeskog asking for? I've only seen the talks are "far apart," but has anyone seen a number he wants?</div></div>
These things are always dealt with <em>sub rosa </em> but my suspicion is that it's more about term and no-trade status than anything else. Then again, they might have been asking him to take RNH type money and that's not going to fly with Landy and his camp. I think they'll find a way to agree but most of us also thought the Blues and Petro were going to work things out, too.

I think the big names that I would consider moving are one of Ellis/Ekholm, Arvidsson, Jarnkrok, and one of Johansen/Duchene (doubt they could dump both).
I like the idea of Konecny in a NSH sweater -- funnily enough, I'm pretty sure the pick used on Konecny was initially NSH's.

Granlund is a UFA, so he won't be on the Preds protection list unless he resigns before the draft for some weird reason.</div></div>
The pick was more so that Anaheim wouldn't lose Fleury/Guhle or one of their other Dmen
