That Anaheim trades look awful for Vegas. Derek Grant who is a replacement level player, for a 4th liner and a Top 4 D prospect AND a pick? Gardiner is worth much more than that, and Carolina is, in my opinion, contending right now, so they would not want to give up Gardiner.

5 Brand New Questions
1. Vegas Golden Knights, and the Nashville Predators.
2. I think he will be traded to Colorado, they have the assets, and the cap space to get him.
3. If you are talking about absolutely at this very moment only in this season, I would give McDavid #1 and Draisaitl #3, and Pastrnak #2, he legitimately has a shot at 50 goals in 50 games, a feat that is extremely rare.
4. I think Mike Babcock will get an opportunity in Seattle, or even perhaps back to the Red Wings, seeing as how Blashill's head is wanted by many Wings fans. Bill Peters' coaching days are numbered I presume, NHL teams wouldn't want a guy like him, which would hurt their reputation having a known racist and a coach that abuses players, as confirmed by former Canes play Michal Jordan.
5. I don't think they will finish with 48 points, but they will finish close to it. Unless Blashill gets a brain and puts Bertuzzi, Larkin and Mantha back on the same line, which they had insane chemistry, while he instead opts for Luke Glendening as a first line winger instead of a young stud like Filip Zadina, the Wings will finish close to that 48 point mark, but not exactly at it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SpaghettiPasta</b></div><div>:flames have been outscored 14-0 in their last three road games and 20-3 in their past 5 games</div></div>
Bill Peters has been unofficially fired. He most likely won't be here next week, and it's not even that bad. In his coaching tenure with the Flames, his system does not do well at all on offense, but it is above average defensively, but it is still not good. Everywhere he has coached, offense has dropped by at least 3%, which is quite large, but defense has remained the same. This is not a bad firing by the Flames, he isn't a good coach, he's just, okay. Doesn't help Calgary is shooting a league-low 6%, and are getting sub .900 SV% goaltending.

TDL trades
1st trade New York wins very slightly via a value standpoint. I'm only looking at these trades via value.
2nd trade Columbus wins big, Jankowski is worth a lot more than 2 4ths.
3rd trade is completely even, 2020 1st is the main piece in the return for the Flames.
Overall, not a bad Armchair-GM.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>I don't get how this is such great value for the Ducks? So, they get a LD in Mete (They already have Fowler, Lindholm, Guhle, Mahura, and Larsson, before he's traded away in this deal), a RD in Juulsen (who's played a total of 99 professional games in the past 3 years, and a good 2 way winger in Lehkonen (Even though they've already got Rakell, Silfverberg, Ritchie, Kase, Shore, Terry, Jones with Sherwood, Lundestrom, Comtois, Morand, Olivier-Groulx, etc. waiting in the wings), and a 2nd. Apart from a HUGE question mark in Juulsen, this doesn't come close to addressing their actual need of a RHD.
I just don't get the benefit of this trade from a Ducks perspective?</div></div>
I was just talking about the overall value both teams are getting back. Sorry if it caused confusion, but I wasn't addressing team needs. Apologies for any confusion.

11/25/19 Things Around the NHL
Apologies for not posting this weekend, but it's okay as nothing really happened other than an AHL trade and Bortuzzo doing Bortuzzo things
1. Toronto Maple Leafs forward Alexander Kerfoot has been suspended for 2 games, for boarding Colorado Avalanche defender Erik Johnson. Must have been upset his autographed jerseys were selling for $20 on the NHL Shop.
2. A story has arisen out of Toronto during the Father's Weekend road trip in January of 2017. As the story goes, Mike Babcock was frustrated with Mitch Marner for his perceived laziness in the first half of his rookie season. According to multiple sources, during the aforementioned Father's Weekend road trip of January 2017, Babcock asked Marner to rank his teammates' effort level that season in order of 1 through 20, ranging from the hardest working to the laziest. Marner obliged, and per multiple sources, put himself at the bottom of the list, with both parties agreeing that he needed to work harder without the puck. What Babcock didn't tell Marner was that he was preparing to show this list to some of the players who Marner had ranked towards the bottom. According to multiple sources, Marner was in tears after the details of his list were shared, while his teammates were furious - specifically with Babcock. They couldn't believe their head coach would put a 19-year-old in that situation, especially considering how well-liked Marner was in the dressing room. Mitch Marner was close to requesting a trade out of Toronto over this. His agent talked him out of this. Seems like Babcock caused a lot of locker room issues.
3. Micheal Ferland (concussion) will join the Canucks in Pittsburgh tomorrow. Agent Jason Davidson: "I talked to Micheal yesterday, he is feeling great and excited to rejoin his teammates."
4. Mitch Marner is out for a skate before Leafs practice. He suffered a high-ankle sprain 16 days ago and is expected to be out at least another two weeks, per original timeline.
EDIT 11/25/19 12:13 PM PST
5. The Toronto Maple Leafs have recalled goaltender Michael Hutchinson and reassigned Kasimir Kaskisou to the Marlies (AHL).
6. The Calgary Flames have activated TJ Brodie off Injured Reserve and reassigned defender Brandon Davidson to the Stockton Heat (AHL).
EDIT 11/25/19 4:15 PM PST
7. Florida Panthers reassign goaltender Samuel Montembault to Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL) and recall Chris Dreidger.
8. St. Louis Blues have sent down Klim Kostin to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). Troy Brouwer ready to go.
9. Pittsburgh Penguins activate Kris Letang off IR.

nov 25th Habs trade
From a value standpoint, this is a huge W for the Ducks, and a fat L for the Habs. I think you overvalue Larsson too much. Take out Juulsen and this trade seems much more fair, from again, A VALUE STANDPOINT. Not a bad deal though, Habs needed something for LD.

11/21/19 Things Around The NHL
1. The Los Angeles Kings have terminated the contract of forward Mario Kempe and he has signed a two-year contract with CSKA Moscow (KHL)
2. The Vancouver Canucks have had interest in Maple Leafs defenseman Tyson Barrie. One source told Rick Dhaliwal that they had a significant interest in him at the NHL draft.
3. Kyle Turris will be a healthy scratch again tonight for the Predators as they face the Canucks. Things haven't gone so well with Turris and Nashville.
4. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Nick Bjugstad had surgery on a core muscle injury and is out for 8 weeks. Defender Justin Schultz is out "longer-term" with a lower body injury. Patric Hornqvist has been activated off the Injured Reserve.
5. Flames and Sabres have been talking trade for a little while but haven't been able to work anything out. Marco Scandella is available. Sabres are dealing from a position of weakness because Bogosian's return is going to force them to make a couple moves.
6. The Canucks have been trying to trade a forward for over a year and still haven't found a deal they like.
7. The Calgary Flames have provided an update on TJ Brodie after he collapsed on the ice and went into convulsions last week. "TJ has been working out for the past several days and today skated on his own under the supervision of our medical staff. Over this past week, he has had consultations with appropriate specialists in Calgary. To date, all medical evaluations and testing have been reassuring. We still work to complete final testing and are optimistic he will re-join the team in the near future."
8. The Columbus Blue Jackets have named Paul MacLean as an assistant coach on John Tortorella's staff. MacLean will be in charge of special teams.
EDIT 11/21/19 5:24 PM PST
9. Darren Dreger on Insider Trading says Sabres GM Jason Botterill has made offers on a couple of forwards around the league. Says there is a growing sense of urgency in Buffalo, and that they want to make 1 or 2 trades within the next week or two.
10. Oilers still on the market for a 3rd line center. Wanted Pageau in the offseason, but they waited too long and the price I'm hearing is a 1st and a prospect. Oilers don't want to do that.
11. Nashville in the market for a depth defender.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Brian2016</b></div><div>I agree that Dubas will survive this season no matter what, but he built this team. He decided to trade away all of their physicality and toughness. He decided to trade Kadri, one of his best all-around players and best value players, for a totally redundant PP specialist. Terrible team management by Dubas, in my opinion. He never should've signed Tavares. Imagine the roster depth they could have for $11M AAV.</div></div>
Agreed. Top-heavy teams can work sometimes, but this team is just too top-heavy. Shore, Spezza, Mikheyev, Johnsson and Kapanen are nice pieces to have, but they don't great depth like the Lightning or Vegas, simply because of the structure the team is built on. Barrie has been trash recently, Ceci isn't great, Muzzin hasn't been too hot, and Reilly needs to pick it up. Dermott and Holl are the only bright spots there. Andersen is still Andersen and the backup situation is still a huge question mark. Kadri is doing great on Colorado right now, Kerfoot has been alright. The Shanaplan may be falling apart before our very eyes.

I don't think he will be next, but he very well could be. A lot of pressure is on the players themselves now, because tons of people were calling for Babcock's head, and now the alleged issue is gone, so the players and team will be expected to do much better, and if they don't, some people will be on the hot seat. The assistant coaches will be facing more pressure now as well, such as Dave Hakstol and more, because they were brought in to help out the Power Play and Penalty Kill, both of which have been bad for the Leafs, so they could be facing more heat if things don't improve. Dubas would be the last person Shanahan fires.

Quick poll on who's better Roope Hintz or Vladimir Tarasenko?
Tarasenko is better, obviously. A top 20 winger at least, and he's better talent-wise, and advanced stats agree with me. Higher Goals For Per 60, Expected Goals For Per 60, Corsi For Per 60, but he's bad defensively, but it is expected, since he's played in an offensive role. Hintz is still a great third liner, who can play on the second line, and he is still young and has potential to be a full time second or even first liner. Hintz is better defenseively than Tarasenko.

EDIT 11/20/19 4:14 PM PST
6. Flames recall defender Alexei Yelesin from Stockton Heat (AHL) and placed forward Sam Bennett on Long-Term Injured Reserve (LTIR). Those are all the moves the Flames will be making today.
7. Maple Leafs fire Head Coach Mike Babcock, and announce Sheldon Keefe as his replacement. Shanahan: "At this time, we collectively felt it was best to make a change. (Sheldon Keefe's) record with the Marlies in terms of development & on-ice success during his time (here) has compelled us all to feel he is the right person to take us to the next stage in our evolution." Elliotte Friedman states: "We have not seen the last of Babcock [in the NHL]. The veteran players really liked playing for him. I think he will get a chance somewhere else, he's too good." Greg Brady (@gregbradyTO) on Twitter reports: "Have also had 2 people suggest Babcock has been sensing all this & back-channeling calls, ready for something new. He wants to coach again quickly. He wants to coach a team this season."
8. The Pittsburgh Penguins trade forward Graham Knott to the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for forward Joseph Cramarossa. AHL Deal.

11. St. Louis Blues forward Sammy Blais is set to undergo surgery on an injury in his right wrist, suffered in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Lightning. He will be out indefinitely for 10 weeks and will be re-evaluated then.
EDIT 11/20/19 5:44 PM PST
12. The Columbus Blue Jackets are considering adding Paul MacLean to their coaching staff as their power play coach. He won the Jack Adams award in 2013.

13. The Ottawa Senators defeat the Montreal Canadiens in overtime at the Bell Centre. Goalscorers for Ottawa were by Pageau for his 13th of the year, and Brady Tkachuk's OT winner seals it for the Sens, his 8th of the year. The lone goal scorer for the Habs was the rookie Nick Suzuki, his 6th of the year.
