(BUF/FLA) - Hägg for 6th
This is a brief list of depth defensemen that were traded for 6th round picks recently.
Jordie Benn
Chris Wideman
Nathan Beaulieu
Michael Del Zotto
Robert Hagg falls in this category.
Fair deal

Pat Verbeek is doing more for the Ducks in a month and a half than Bob Murray did his entire tenure

It’s hard to compare players from different positions or even different play style but I’d move Mack over Drai

Philadelphia Flyers signed Derick Brassard (1 Year / $825,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>islandersfan14</b></div><div>I mean he's ok if your signing him for this little. He's a third line Lw tops though. Philly probably will scratch him. I do think he is better than most people think though, and gets more hate then he deserves</div></div>
Any player that can score goals is a boost to your team if he's signed to your team for a cap hit like that. It'll be very easy for Brassard to overplay his cap hit. Philly can even bury his contract if he's a big enough mess up.

This would make my top 5 list of UFA's signed under $1 mil for 1 season.

With the Casey signing and now Joel, along with Beau , it's really making it clear how bad that KK offer sheet is.
Glad the KK contract didn't create inflation on 35-40 point players across the League.

Farabee is already one of the best forwards on the flyers. Great deal for him and the team.

Great signing. I mean, Hart was pretty bad this season but if you look at his stats from the past seasons, he was great and still can easily rebound. He also has a lot of potential to become a superstar goalie. Love this deal for the flyers.

I can't be the only one who read Glendening first here and thought this was a glitch.
Clendening is an AHL stud and was great in the world championships, so I like this a lot for the flyers.

I’m heartbroken, but thanks for everything Phil. Wish the Habs had matched that offer. He’s going to be an incredible mentor for LA’s young centers.

Montreal Canadiens signed Mike Hoffman (3 Years / $4,500,000 AAV)
I really don’t like this. Montréal really, really needs a C and a RHD, so I have no idea why they’re putting so much money towards a one-dimensional winger. By playing Hoffman we’re having to scratch a pretty good player (like Byron or Lehkonen), so that makes this even worse. I really hope we can land someone like Dvorak or Suter, because otherwise our C spot is looking really rough.

This is a phenomenal signing. He was the best D in the KHL last year, and he’ll be a good offensive 6th/7th D. The habs need RHD, especially offensive ones badly.

Van with the next L on the list
Toffoli could have been in a Canucks Jersey rn along with Tanev
While Van has 26mill in cap space Hughes and Petterson are gonna eat a large portion along with Dickenson. Then they got to replace Schmidt and Holtby. So that space is gonna be gone quickly. Then you got to replace Schmidt and sure they are bringing back Schenn but okay you need a defensively minded top 4 Dman. Dont think were gonna see an improvement in Vancouver's GA.</div></div>
Lol that's quite funny how bad Bennings last offseason was.
