Consensus in Flyera is 3C role is best for Patrick right now. Our biggest need is therefor 2C. Cannot trade Couturier.

Philly declines. Couts is not going anywhere. Ghost probably not either after AV's presser and Chucky's comments on our D corps. Good luck with the reshuffle though. Your team is better than what they showed, but clearly something has to change.

We may well see Frosty at RW rather than C. It may make the most sense to start him there to take advantage of his offensive vision and avoid exposing him to a whole new level of defensive responsibilities.

Yep, for Myers, you are absolutely not getting pick #11. Just involving Myers might turn the Flyers off from the deal b/c it becomes a robbing Peter (the young D core) to pay Paul (the young O core) situation. It's more likely we can select a high skill forward at #11 than a D prospect of Myers' caliber in this particular draft at that spot. Given that D typically take longer to develop, the Flyers would stand pat.

Even beyond that, we don't need to add a defender so much as we need to get player usage right (consistent pairings) and let our talented youngsters get their experience and endure their youthful mistakes. Maybe come the deadline we add a D if it makes sense then, but not now. 2C is our big need.

Some More Ideas
You are selling Ghost too cheaply. If that's what he can get Philly right now, it's better to keep him and let him consistently play with Provy. It has statistically been the best top pair despite the repeated experiments of pairing Provy with Sanheim, Hagg, etc. The guy has been in the doghouse for all the wrong reasons.
Also, Hopkins would slot in at 2C in this lineup. Patrick has not been consistently good enough to merit that role (not yet anyway).

Great job fitting all this talent under the cap. I'd temper immediate expectations with Glass though. Slot him in at 3C for now. Stastny is fine at 2C. Let Glass have the easier minutes.
By the way, I think my Flyers are in the market for Eakin and Reaves if Vegas is really going to offload them. Great stopgap fit for 3C and 4th line, respectively. Not sure what McPhee would want, but we certainly have plenty of draft picks.

Realistic Parayko maybe
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>... and nylander will get back on track and be a 70-80 point player, no doubts there. </div></div>
Nylander has 4 points in 20 games. He's talented, but he's a problem for the Leafs offensively right now. You are not getting as high a return for an out-of-form player as you would for an in-form player. 70-80 points? That wouldn't be back on track. That would be a 15-30% jump over his best seasons so far. He's young, so maybe one day he gets there, but that's the high end upside, not the middle road of expectations for the player. He may never get there, and instead is a guy who, when he is on, gets 60-70 points, but when he's not, fetches 40 points. That's more realistic than baking in 70-80 point seasons at this point in time. In that light, the contract is a risk. I'd rather have Kapanen personally.
Re: Gardiner, I didn't say anything about him. I said puck moving D aren't as scarce and valuable as you seem to think. That was true, however, some 5 years ago.

Realistic Parayko maybe
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jamiepo</b></div><div>Could go to any playoff team looking for A puck moving lhd at the TDL.</div></div>
That's not the rare commodity you seem to think it is among playoff position teams. The rare commodities are cheap but good D, and above all, the top 4 right-handed shooting D you covet.
Also, given that Nylander has been in such a slump, he's not an attractive trade piece right now. That contract is viewed as a big risk. So you're trading a problem, a prospect and a late 1st round pick for Parayko. That the pick is conditional and not until 2020 is a good joke. You'd have to pay more than that. Parayko is the top target, if St. Louis is truly willing to move him.

I hope Nashville fans are keen. I figured with Hartman going 0 goals 2 assists in his last 15, they probably view him as a good asset to move out for an upgrade on the wings.

Flyers decline. Very underwhelming for a deadline sale of Simmonds. Frolik isn't a bad player and his contract isn't a problem for Philly, but a 2nd for a 6th does not move the meter at all.

Should we be worried about Nolan Patrick
Not worried. His entire career has been under Hakstol's idiotic high low offensive system. I'd look for him to put together a nice second half. He is so young it's premature to discuss whether he's a bust. It's your impatience to suggest it. Prime age for forwards is mid 20s. You can judge him as a bust or not then.

By what? It was a joke about the name, not the quality of the players.
And on that note, Weise has been good this season (edit: by that I mean 3rd line satisfactory level and a pleasant surprise). He wouldn't be in a bottom 6 for bottom 6 deal. The trade addresses 0 issues from a Flyers' perspective.

Shake Up 20 w St Louis amp Detroit
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Billy316</b></div><div>i still think PHI would be better off trading Sanheim and a pick for Petry as he and Gudas could handle your top 4 RD no problem allow Ghostisbhere to play on his LD . PHI gets a RD who can play top mins and top special teams assignments who lays out hits , blocked shots at a regular pace while eating up 25-27 minutes .</div></div>
That's exactly the idea here, but would much prefer acquiring Parayko for Hagg and Simmonds than Petry for Sanheim and more. Sanheim/Gudas has been our best performing pair statistically, and Sanheim's upside is too great to trade. Even if Parayko turns out best suited for the 2nd pairing role, that is perfectly fine. Can take another stab at a top RD or roll with Provorov/Ghost again.
With future in mind, it's likely our protected D for the Seattle expansion are Ghost, Provorov and Sanheim. We might protect the 4th but only if that target pans out perfectly. Parayko could be that good. Petry could, on the other hand, be a major problem because of his NTC/NMC.

Flyers say yes. I doubt Winnipeg sells Myers though. They are going for the cup run before the cap hits them hard in the off-season. More likely, you can sign Myers in the off-season as a UFA.
P.S. Bonus points for reuniting Schenn & Simmonds on the same line.
