<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Devil</b></div><div>Too much analytics is bad

Analytics don't tell the full story
Analytics are being used more in today's hockey with better availability to track those numbers and teams can get a better understanding of players without having to watch every game.
"Why would a smart team like the Rangers keep someone like Reaves if he’s so bad according to your analytics people on random corners of the internet?"
As for Reaves, the Rangers kept Reaves because he plays a role that not many NHL players play in today's game. In reality he isn't good enough to be a regular NHL player but his intangible impact on the ice keeps him in the league</div></div>
You’ve pretty much hit the nail on the head with
“Too much analytics is bad

I’m sorry but OEL and Myers aren’t good, they’re average 2nd pair guys <strong>At best</strong>, I’d take Krug, Parayko or Faulk over them any day of the week

He’s a 1st pair D and on a steal of a contract, that’s a pretty good package for both sides ( assuming AZ has to take Zaitsev back )

No, Drai’s a tier 1 C ( assuming you see him as a C and not a winger ). There’s no reason to not have him as a tier 1, he’s easily one of the best players in the league

Krug, Faulk, Parayko kills any chance the Canucks have, they do have Q. Hughes but it severely drops off after that

Caufield, his ceiling is higher imo, of course, this is way too early to predict but I feel like Caufield will be the more impactful player due to his goal scoring ability and how he finds that open ice to shoot

New Jersey or Seattle is that team imo, out of the options you listed, Grubauer should bounce back, adding Bjorkstrand should help them greatly, NJ just seems like this could be the year they start to be a contender

I think Montreal’s a bit better than 29, it does depend on how Price does, if the team can continue their MSL form from the end of the last season and a couple other things but we should be around 70-75 points imo

The only name I recognize here is Demin, because he was traded from Vegas to Chicago in the Lehner deal. Anybody know anything about any of these guys? Kinda doubtful any of them are relevant tbh</div></div>
I mean I’ve heard of Karow, Thome and Stapley but I am a Habs fan and owned Karow/Thome in the GM Game so that’s kind of expected, Karow and Thome suck so they definitely won’t sign, Inamoto was in the Max Domi 3-way though I don’t think he’s much of anything

Cole Guttman, Sammy Walker, Brett Stapley, and Tyler Weiss standout. All can return to school tho.</div></div>
I doubt Stanley signs unless he returns to school and standout, the Habs are now at the point where they own so many rights that they have to be wise in their choices of who they sign, can’t just sign everyone now

Baffling.</div></div>
Beniers was not slide eligible, per <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/slides/2022">CF ELC Slide Tool</a> the wasted slide this year was Lukas Reichel who played 11 games with the Hawks

I think the problem with Vegas is they don’t have that true fanbase, we’ve seen it by them not being held accountable for playing bad and always going all in, Vegas being competitive is what gets the fans in, like Florida and AZ ( both teams that have had attendance problems when they were trash and good attendance when the team looks good )

I mean, it’s literally been reported that there’s been at least a couple sexual allegations on players per year brought up to Hockey Canada and it won’t stop, do you seriously expect people not to get involved when they learn such a big culture problem in an organization?

Team Canada Scandal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LloydminsterLarry</b></div><div>We have the most far left media in the English speaking world. This is all motivated by social and political activism from the left. This entire thing was dragged back up after the money was paid. Now we have an open case that was closed before. These people saw a chance to drag this back into the spotlight for their own reasons. Why do you think we have all these “investigative” sports journalists? They’ve only been around very recently. For decades we had sports basically separated from politics. Now they are one in the same.</div></div>
No sports journalist does investigate journalism, however, if someone comes to them or they discover a story related to hockey, they will tell it, Rick Westhead did an amazing job with the Chicago and Kyle Beach affair, etc, there is a tight line to walk, especially in this case, to dismiss the claims of sexual assault would be to continue to perpetuate the problem of not believing women when they come out however you can’t exactly just believe her blindly because then you’d be presuming what’s happened before knowing, you kind of have to believe both sides at 50% ( which is super contradictory )
