He’s not behind development. I’d give him 2 years still before he’s an everyday skater, just general human physical development needs to occur - only a very small few have the skill set to overcome, but he’s on the depth chart, and could be in the nhl if there were a whole bunch of injuries above him the coming seasons. Outside chance he directly makes the team next year, but possible.
Snuggerud is interesting: we won’t know if he’ll sign until he signs. Doug Armstrong has previously stated he would burn a year off the elc. This is a benefit to snuggerud and motivation to encourage him to sign. His NCAA career ends the day he signs, so typically this occurs when their season ends. He could sign any day, or decide not to at all.

Quoting: lowblocksniper

Fairly similar to the offer Eichel got and Eichel is better than Kyrou

Eichel brought back Tuch (better than both roster players above combined); Krebs - a former first; and 1st and a 2nd
He was also coming off of major Neck surgery and has a cap hit of $2M more than Kyrou. So not exactly apples to apples. Also Buffalo had to move Eichel. So again - pathetic offer.

I really think he isn't as bad as some people make him out be. There have been some games recently where he seemily is one of the forwards hounding for the pucks the most.
If we are trading Kyrou to make a significant impact for our Blueline then I am alright with that.

Isn’t as bad? He’s scored at a .8 ppg pace over the last 4 years. I’ll never understand why this fan base is so quick to run a guy out of town because they don’t hit people.
I’d get it last year. He didn’t backcheck at all hardly. But he has made a very clear effort to be more involved in that regard. He’s shooting at a career low shooting percentage and is still pacing 65-70 points. Yes he over handles the puck a lot. And no I don’t love him and Rhomas on a line together either. Aside from Kapanen, he’s the only high end speed skater we have and we are a very slow team.
I swear it was the same way with Tarasenko when he was young and Perron.

Today, no. But soon enough, presumably. Give him time to get there, we're not in a hurry right now. He's been mentored by Papa O'Reilly and Big Walt after being a Memorial Cup winning captain, so I'm not concerned.

I still don't really think I want it to go through. Could work out fine, but if it doesn't, Sanheim would be such a massive anchor of a contract along with Parayko already.

Next year
Kyrou is going to perform much better overall in a system that is more rush oriented and one with less emphasis on 5-man defense.
The Blues small market has dictated that in order to be successful, they have to be competitive most every year. As a result, the modern history of the Blues is a bunch of mid to late round picks forming a deep team. Brett Hull or Chris Pronger are the last “stars” who lead the league. This forces their play style towards a more heavy defensive system, one that Kyrou simply does not fit.
If Ottawa and their top end talent grabbed him for DeBrincat’s rights, both sides would win.

Kakko definitely, he said that he doesn't like playing with him. The only chance the kid line has if they become good enough to become the first line. I was against of signing Panarin but then he had that first really good year 2019, and I was like, hm... maybe I wad wrong, but sadly it seems like I wasn't.

Blues in on Meier teams better pony up
Personally, Blues CAN beat out NJ for Meier, but should they. That’s the question I’m going to answer and it’s absolutely not. Blues fans like Meier and Chychrun. I don’t think either of them should be options. Chychrun is too expensive for my taste, and Meier certainly is a great player but brings cap hell. He’s a comparable to Kyrou already. Revamping the D core is an absolute must. So unless we get another first for Barbashev to spare and somehow offload Krug and/or Leddy and bring someone that doesn’t cost an arm and leg I don’t see how you can really fix this with Meier. To sum it all up, I don’t want the team to just outshoot its problems lol.

Cap space isn't an issue here. True desire to outbid someone is however. If Armstrong makes a truly irrational move and includes a few of our upper end prospects, then cap space becomes an issue. But i'd guess one way or another if something were really going to materialize here, Scandella/Leddy would go out the door one way or another and there's more than enough cap to go around. We just aren't going to be serious contenders next season most likely.

I don't think the Blues would move anything meaningful more than 25 and 27. If i were a Sharks fan I'd be hoping to receive Holtz, and their 23 1st. Armstrong doesn't get in arms races, and he's extremely shrewd in negotiations. The Blues don't have any reason to outbid NJD or whomever who is going to pay a premium for Meier to help them this season.
I still don't know if Holtz is someone that's on the table, i have a hard time believing any franchise is willing to move any of their top end prospects. The repercussions of it can be just way too immense for either team and heavily skew the favor of the trade one way or another.

And besides most teams linked to Timo Meier, can still offer a heck of a lot more than St Louis even including Detroit.

It's insane to me that Blues fans think that two picks in the late-20s gets Timo Meier.

I think I know why they winless
And here is the rub...
Rutherford is too smart to allow the hiring of two clogs like Yeo and Cull at face value. Now that Rutherford has publicly stated that Boudreau was not his choice of coach and the only reason he is still here is that ownership won't foot the bill to replace him, it's pretty clear Yeo and Cull were hired to sabotage Boudreau.
And judging by Boudreau's demeanor this year, he knows it.
What an absolute clown show. To be having to endure garbage like this in this market? Where people are paying a league premium to attend games?
Anyone who goes to a game now and actually pays to fed this clusterfudge is either a masochist or an idiot.

Jersey retirement challenge maybe
Colorado (not counting Quebec stats here)
Hejduk- played in COL his whole career, one cup, 02-03 Richard trophy, 750+ pts
Tanguay- 400pts in 450 games, one cup, clutch playoff points/goals
Blake- one of the best D to play for COL not named Bourque or Foote, one cup
MacKinnon - no explanation needed, will end career holding most of every COL offensive record there is (maybe not most points in a season 120 by Sakic, or most goals in a season)
hard to pick 2 other recent players giving the short history of Colorados existence (since 1996).
Erik Johnson might get up there as hes been here 10 years plus and hes been an alternate captain for a while
Landeskog probably gets retired if they can win a cup and hes captain long term
