Fowler+ for Duchene/Landeskog
you must be trolling with a trade that poor.
No chance Avs move Duchene for a second pairing D man and late first round pick.
Even more comical that you then place him on the third line instead of the wing on the top line/second line lmao

I agree.
Is it possible to throw in a first round pick conditional on Kane not ending up in prison? lol

Avs trade is not even close.
Winnik is garbage (played for Avs previously and had no interest in keeping him), who the heck is Bowey??? ahaha and that 1st round pick is going to be around #25... value isn't close.

Nothing spectacular
Personally id rather have Beauch on the roster than trade him for Ference (to then buy him out??)
Also not a big fan of the Barrie signing. Id prefer a 5.5mil/5 year contract. If he wants 6.5 mil and 7 years, I pay him what the arbitration awards and move him.

I don't think Trouba is worth 6.25/6 years.
Id also rather have Barrie than Trouba (especially if they are getting paid nearly the same contract).
No chance Trouba is an Av and getting paid more than MacKinnon

Mackinnon
No chance Avs let that offer sheet go. Avs are definitely not shopping him either. It is likely he is the absolute only untouchable on the roster.
You cant say that he is underwhelmed and only registers .66 ppg, only to go and sign him to a 7.3 mil deal and place him on the top line lol

you nailed this one.
I had the EXACT same signings (term and cap hit).
Lines differ from mine slightly but I expect a lot of juggling around throughout the season based on the performance of Rantanen/Iginla/Grigorenko.

Would Van bite if the trade swapped Mitchell for a 2nd/3rd round pick instead?

Also on the fence about signing Pirri and moving Colborne to the 4th line (dude put up 40+ points last season playing a middle 6 F role)

Missed the Siemens signing.
Not a big fan of the Landeskog trade. He is a young, skilled power forward and the leader/captain of the team. You send a dreadful message to this young core by trading him. I agree they need a #1-3 Dman, but I don't think moving Landeskog is the best way to achieve that. Also I hate the idea of Grimaldi playing on the third line. Id be more inclined to have Compher or Mitchell or even Matinsen in that position and shift Grimaldi down.

2 small notes.
Missed the Siemans signing ( 1 yr/ 650,000 approx.)
Id swap Grigorenko and Landeskog. Rantanen has 8 NHL games of experience and Grigorenko is also trying to find his game too. I think having those two play on the same line would be a set back.

Avs (No trades)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>coga16</b></div><div><i>I see the lines differently
Grigo Mack Dutch - the 3 of them have worked well together in the past, and I think its the most dangerous top line the team can assemble this year.
Landy Soderberg Rantanen - This line will happen again as its the ideal Roy line to cycle down low, grinding out offensive zone time.
Comeau Colborne Iggy - Iggy needs to have less 5v5 minutes to be effective throughout the season, let him play on the ex Flames line as there is some familiarity with the 3 of them at times.
McLeod Mitchell Martinsen - 4th line will just do its thing as they have done all last season.</i></div></div>
+1 Ive done 3 or 4 of these and previously had the line combos with Grigs on the first line LW and Rantanen on the 2nd line RW (similar to you).
Unfortunately I think Colborne MAY change the thought process of whether or not Rantanen is ready for 2nd line minutes or not (kid only has less than 10 NHL games worth of experience). I have no issue with him starting the season on the second line RW but lets say he gets overwhelmed (which is VERY possible), Colborne can swap spots with Rantanen easily.
As for Iggy, tough to say whats best with him. His game is declining and his price tag is high. Options are:
A) 1st line RW and hope that you get some of your moneys worth
B) 3rd line RW where he wont show as many flaws, but you will never truly get your moneys worth out of him at those limited minutes.

Mathews will be centering the third line to start the season. As per an interview with Coach Babcock about a week and a half ago.
Id flip Hyman and Michalek too. Marner would benefit more from having Michalek as his winger.

The only reason the Jackets want to trade him is for cap room. We are still a year or two away from being a serious contender. Hartnell deserves to be on a contender. He could really help a contender. For actual GM's, like I stated, the problem is the NMC. See you are the stupid fans that look directly at age and immediately write them off. You understand nothing about hockey.</i></div></div>
Looking at points put up this past season.
Forwards only (Hartnell is a F btw)
of the top 55 point producers only 3 were 35+ in age (Sedin, Thorton, Jagr - all NHL HoF players).
Its a young mans game, and you should educate yourself that age DOES matter (especially an age of 35 with a brutal contract)
consider yourself roasted.

Sorry Jackets, but Hartnell + your junk isn't getting you Rantanen AND Barrie. No matter how good you think Hartnell is, his contract, NMC and age is an albatross. You'll be lucky to get a 2nd for him. Retain on his contract at 25-50% and maybe the Jackets get a decent piece for it. Nothing on the levels of a Rantanen or Barrie, and nevermind them both.
Like Marco said in the other thread, this is probably an Eklund rumor...Or one he saw on twitter from one of the million BS "insiders" who claim they have sources around the league, but the only source they have is their ass when they fart.
If it looks like ****, smells like ****, and tastes like ****...It's ****. These rumors are ****. Move along, Jacket. <strong>NO ONE WANTS HARTNELL</strong>.</i></div></div>
