<a href="/users/CoopsTroops" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@CoopsTroops</a> is there space for these guys? Also it seems like Wednesday at 9pm EST works the best for everyone.
Also to summarize my availability in one post:
Oct. 6 and onwards don't work (in the field with limited to no wifi)
Tuesday evening doesn't work
Thursday evening could work, but would prefer another day (I have another draft at 9pm EST that day)

I mean it's a fine take. I'll still say Byfield had the highest potential at that time, 6'5" skilled centres that can skate super well simply don't exist. LA just hasn't done a great job of developing him to his full potential. And I was right to look forward to Stutzle 😉

Don’t worry, that was purely about my own team. The Flames have even more OTLs than Dallas, which has caused them to look like they’re still close to the playoffs (only 4 points behind Winnipeg despite 8 fewer wins lmao)

Pretty sure the whole point is that the event is so big that no research is required and everyone would be talking about it. And if the tweet says the score in it I shouldn’t have to confirm it lmao. This event sounds like an idea that part of the media industry uses for an easy column and then everyone forgets about a week later.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MatthewsFan</b></div><div>Some random goal eh. For starters, the game was tied 2-2 at the end of overtime, the game went to a shootout. It was the the first shootout in franchise history for Montreal. The franchise that drafted Crosby’s father, Sidney’s boyhood favourite team growing up. His rookie season. Crosby’s first game against a Canadian team.
Yes, I do believe this would have blown up on Twitter.
But
<img class="for_img" src="https://media3.giphy.com/media/l0HludP1g7a4D5OLe/giphy.webp?cid=6c09b95247d3df638a7d3f28d1f37f6d6bfe1165e9cf3a76&rid=giphy.webp&ct=g" alt="giphy.webp?cid=6c09b95247d3df638a7d3f28d1f37f6d6bfe1165e9cf3a76&rid=giphy.webp&ct=g"></div></div>
I mean the tweet said they won 1-0 so where was I supposed to get 2-2 from lol. I’m sure it meant a lot to Crosby individually, and it’s a cool goal for the week’s highlight reel (pretty standard deke), but this was back when the Penguins were a poverty franchise without a super hardcore base. Who would even be on twitter to get excited about that? Like there’d be some Canadians pointing out that it’s interesting, maybe some Habs fans complaining about the loss, but it doesn’t seem particularly special outside of that when compared to literally any other major moment you could’ve picked in 85+ years of NHL history considering you had first crack at this.

There's no way some random shootout goal in a 0-0 game between Pittsburgh and Montreal is the first thing that came to mind for the NHL 💀💀 Like I can think of two SHOOTOUTS that woulda been better (first ever between Sens/Leafs and the Marek Malik goal). Then you get into the whole realizing the lockout was actually a thing that was happening, the Bertuzzi-Moore incident, the Sakic-Bourque cup pass, and those are only the first things that come to mind in the 21st century without doubling up on reasons (panic, outrage, wholesome).

Funnily enough, I was on the receiving end of a similar temper tantrum in one of my last games of competitive hockey. There was 9 seconds left in OT in an elimination playoff game and the opposing defenseman punches my head several times for digging at a loose puck. A penalty in OT was a penalty shot, which I scored on to send that team home and keep mine alive. Moral of the story: players like Logan Mailloux lose you hockey games, and more specifically, important hockey games. And he’s still a POS too.

I don't think Dvorsky falls to 10 tbh. He'd be my pick to round out the top 5 right now, but even if he slips, talented centres with 1C upside don't fall very far, and when they do, it's usually because there are good defensemen. This draft lacks D, and it's hard to see too many wingers (even ones as talented as Benson, Sale, etc.) going ahead of legitimate 1C candidates. I could maybe see Yager, and perhaps one of the top wingers (Anaheim doesn't really need a C, and Arizona could maybe afford to take a winger too) or potentially Will Smith going ahead of Dvorsky, but I don't think he falls to 10. Maybe 7 or 8.
