i was creeping, but man, i had to log in to post a comment.
this armchair is spectacular. it's a top 5 i've seen.
you have 3 trades involving 5+ picks involved - incredible.
that nashville getting 5 picks for another bottom 6er, man, after the jeannot trade, that's exquisite.
****, 11/10 work brother. i love it.
I adore the "three middling prospects for 6 picks of a bottom 5 team" - that's a beauty.

Hey man, I gotta congratulate you. I've been here for a bunch of years, and I honestly think this is the worst one. Like, it's not so crazy it's obviously fake, they're just all awful. The kind of trades everyone turns down. Great work. Happy Holidays.

Feel like its unlikely they'd move on from Byram. I'd love the Leafs to go after him, but other teams would offer better packages if he was available.

this thread was a prediction to what Keefe would do, not what I would want. I literally said "I'd rather have Liljegren in for Schenn, but Keefe seems settled" in the description. Your post was essentially saying you didn't think Schenn was worth playing. He's played all 9 games and been next to Rielly, as the best pair on the team with 58xg%, a vast majority time. I think we can both take an L, bud.

51 points last year, 47 at even strength. Plays all 3 forward spots, excellent compliment to other skilled players. An expiring deal at 3.5m. If you honestly believe he's not worth Evans? Or would need to add a first?

Leafs and Ducks with Muzzin LTIRetired
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>Kerfoot isn't worth his contract right now, and the ducks already have a swiss army knife player, and he walks at end of year anyway, this is purely cap dump
Engvall is a piece I am interested in, but with no team control, he is effectively cap dump unless he comes with an extension in place.
Sandin has promise, but so do multiple other LD that the Ducks have in the same age as him (Zellwegger, Mintyukov, Thurn, LaCombe)
and a late 1st
Asking for a young, physical winger that we like and has scoring finish, if inconsistent at times, but has looked good this season.
The only veteran defenseman we have signed next season who has been with the team his entire career, whom still plays well, and has a 4 team trade list
Sure, the value may be there on paper with Sandin + 23 1st, but the deal still doesn't make sense for the Ducks, as its not giving us things that we actually need, and is depleting us in areas we can't afford to get carved out on. You want our young power forward in Comtois, then we need one back, it'll cost you Knies. You want our top pairing Defenseman, Thats going to take a 1st and Kokkonen, plus a warm body on D that can take decent minutes, Benn will probably do. After that, you can throw in Engvall and Kerfoot as cap dump.
Comtois and Fowler for Knies, Kokkonen, 23 1st, warm bodies/cap dump, assuming all trade protection clauses can be met.</div></div>
I'm completely fine with you not liking the trade offer that's fine. But this - "Kerfoot isn't worth his contract right now" has to stop. It's madness. An unnamed forward who can capably play anywhere in the top 9 as a complimentary piece, centre or wing, who put up 51 points last year, 47 at even strength, is ABSOLUTELY worth 3.5m, especially on an expiring deal. Just because Leaf fans put him in too many proposals, or fans dislike Leaf players, doesn't make it true.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>There is no way the Leafs give up their top defensive prospect for a rental, that's what the 1st and 3rd is for, teams don't typically give up their top prospects for rentals , unless they think they can't resign them or they need a change of scenery, or the player they are getting is elite, and weegar is very good but not elite. As a promising RHD prospect Niemela has a lot of value.</div></div>
Weegar is incredible. His analytics rank him among the best defenseman in the league at 5v5, and he's only 27, entering his prime. He plays LD and RD, and elite on the penalty kill, would be perfect next to Rielly, Sandin in the future, or anyone else. I would happily trade more than this for Weegar, especially a guy like Niemela who has loads of potential but nothing concrete in the league, and is still years away from the NHL. You wouldn't be making the trade for a rental - it would be to sign him long term.

I'd prefer this, seems like the team is really trying to placate Mikheyev after the trade request. I thought your lines worked better, though Willy would be the real threat on the line. He's got a brilliant shot but for years of playing with either JT or 34, he might need some reminding.

That's fair. I'd never read that Namestnikov's journey brought him through Michigan as a young man, that's very cool. I think it's great contract for a rebuilding team, fills lots of holes.

I believe Tavares said he took a decent paycut choosing the Leafs and that the reports were it was closer to 13x7 rather than 11m. Also, I really don't think you can assume that the Sharks would still end up with the 3rd pick with all this roster turnover.

The trade might be uneven, but that's an insane mindset for a GM to have.

Yeah, I didn't know how to value it. There has been a couple of reports of Wennberg possibly getting bought out, and he's on a pretty big ticket for 3 more years. I think the Leafs could use him and surround him with some more offensive players.
