a bath for hronek
Canucks pass. Batherson is a great player no question but the appetite isn't big enough to move Mikheyev if means losing Hronek. Moving Hronek means we'd only have Juulsen as our only RHD with team control. Moving Hronek leaves to big of a hole on our Defense

Would rather resign Dak, get better D, and a proven backup rather than give Lindholm $7M

Necas to Vancouver
Like Necas quite a bit but Lekkerimaki is showing signs that he may be in North America next season. Possibly seeing NHL ice time so I wouldn't do this. Van would also need to shed a bunch of money somehow. Van would probably offer something like 1st, Garland/Miki + prospect and I doubt you'd want that.

Next Season Push for the Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alwaysnextyear</b></div><div>Unless he goes on a crazy good run into and during the playoffs I really doubt Lindholm will be extending in VAN. They currently have him as a 3C and there's no way they're going to pay him the money he'll want in that role. If they bump him back up to play on Petey's RW and they really gel then I could see it.
Agree on Zadorov. I think he'll get a bit of a raise, and I do think VAN will try to extend him. I'm thinking mid-range term at around $4m.</div></div>
As long as they can sign a top 6 winger to be on Petey's RW, I would be okay with Lindholm walking. It would take the sting out of the assets traded away.

He's on a more expensive contract than Mikheyev for more term and theres no point trading Podkolzin for that.

Three Way VAN
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>alwaysnextyear</b></div><div>Canucks would absolutely accept that. Getting Toffoli and DeBrusk at basically the same cap hit as Lindholm without giving up any other assets? Yep.
Problem is BOS wouldn't offer it.</div></div>
I think that Sweeney covets Lindholm or he wouldn’t be involved. Just a guess, but I know there are some Boston fans that don’t want them to sign Lindholm outright. I’m actually expecting Lindholm to be a Bruin on July 1st, but things can and often do change
This kind of fits the concept of redistributing limited assets talk that Elliott Friedman was talking about.
To me, it’s Ullmark, DeBrusk, and 3.25m of retention this year for Lindholm, Schmid, and a 2025 2nd. I could easily see that happening

I 100% take that as Dubas. I like Lek as a prospect and the 2025 draft pick likely will be more valuable than the 2024.

Next season after getting Toffoli at the 2024 deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CM_Insane</b></div><div>If someone wants to pay him Horvat money he's gone pretty much. I do think something around Kadri he could be re-signed. But not if we are bringing Toffoli in other issue is we keep making our defense worse which doesn't make sense. Unless the front office is happy with Wolanin or Hirose (eventhough I do think D-Petey will convert to NA game pretty fast still will need sometime to get used to it). Plus I don't think they want Podkolzin on the 4th line as that was what caused his confidence issue to begin with.</div></div>
That makes sense, especially since it’s a cap league after all. There is money coming off the books, but also the OEL buyout will eventually sting a bit. Regardless, I hope you all go the distance. Your city needs a deep playoff run.

We are pretty much in agreement. My bar of satisfaction is set on if the Devils get the 1st and a controllable player who could be on the third or fourth line

At least half a dozen teams (the known ones are Vegas, Edmonton and LA Kings have checked in on him) will be bidding for Toffoli and he has zero trade protection.</div></div>

Protected 1st + Aidan McDonough
…or…
Young player that kills a hole (Defensive LHD, Bottom-six center with size, goalie)
If we sell, it’s probably with aim to plug holes…or acquire picks/assets we can use to plug holes.

Toffoli (50% retained) = 2025 1st + Pick One from This Group of Players (Pods, Raty, D-Petey)
If Hoglander is up, I really like him, but it wouldn’t make sense to make him available. Lekkermaki and Willander are off the board no matter what. I’m sure you could also use Colin Millers services. He’s worth a 4th.
