Maybe given his injury history but there wouldn’t be much risk anyway</div></div>
The 3 knee surgeries. He's been healthy this season which is nice to see.
Fabs still scores goals.
Which outweighs what he'd fetch in a trade.
Stevie will have to eat cap to dump Holl and Husso.
Last thing he needs is to retain on Fabbri.
But hey if Stevie can dump his 4 mil then go for it.

If Ottawa is willing to give him $6.2M for 6 years, I'm confident that he would be more than happy to sign there.

Maybe a 1st mistake for Steve Y
Yzerman has made several mistakes;
Signing Chiarot, Signing Copp, Drafting Cossa over Wallstedt...
This is not one of them. Lindstrom wasn't even a 7th d-man on Detroit.

I was a Red Wings fan before the Sharks came to SJ. So I can't help but have a soft spot for them. I'm not saying Detroit is a juggernaut. I just think they get crapped on more than they should. I really don't know why?

I don't think they're that far behind if at all. I like detroit but obviously want ottawa to be better. Personally I'm just excited to watch some hockey this year, it will be fun to see these improved teams battle the regulars for a spot.

Way behind Ottawa and Buffalo for this upcoming season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ATC</b></div><div>Its not the top end talent thats issue. Buffalo's blue line is brutal outside of the two first picks, and their goalie has seven games to his name.
OTT is betting everything on korpisalo who outside of last year was terrible. And then adding tarasenko thinking he'll be good again even though age has 100% caught up to him. Det's depth clears both. Edvinsson/Kasper with high upside potential.</div></div>
That's all fans look at. Star power. Detroit has upgraded their depth and will be improved. If stars won Cups by themselves, wouldn't Toronto have won 4 Cups by now? Oilers?

Wishful thinking. Detroit sold at the trade deadline and were tanking after Rasmussen got injured.
Wide margin? Child, please. 😁
Ottawa and Buffalo aren't perfect hockey teams.
Yeah Detroit didn't improve at all. 🤔

Signed long-term and I don't think Yzerman would bring on a guy with that much term that he doesn't feel can have a contributing role on the core of this team. Every team needs a veteran presence with experience winning the cup, and Compher provides that.

Yes its much better thinking players off the bottom half of your roster bring in 1st line returns. At one point Jeremy Bracco was worth Bertuzzi or Larkin.

(OTT/DET) - DeBrincat for Kubalik, Sebrango, 2024 4th (DET), 2024 1st (DET)
Hey you remember how Sens fans kept insisting that they'd get a dragon haul for Cat, and got really angry when you told them to temper expectations?
Good times.
For example from this <a href="https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/4262227">Thread</a>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Random2152</b></div><div>Not nearly as much as Sens fans believe.
1 year of team control, 9 mil QA, a down year depressing his value, Dubois also being on the market - sapping his market, etc
They'll get a late 1st and a B+ if they're lucky</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Lol what a terrible take. He submitted a list of 10 teams and assuming he gets traded to one of them , they’re gonna get a good return including roster players. Anyway I actually think Dorian did alright for the situation - but it's still a clear win for DET - especially with limiting the deal to 4 years.

I've read he doesn't have a good attitude either, but he's still young and there's some potential offense. It seems pretty low risk, but he's probably not Yzerman's type.

Holl is easily a #4 dman and if he wasn't in Toronto under the microscope he wouldn't be thought of the way we knee jerk when he's mentioned.
