A few more moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pretzelcoatl</b></div><div>There are five prospects I would not move: Hughes, Nemec, Holtz, Casey, and Schmid. I would move any other prospect along with Vanecek and a 1st. Gritsyuk is the best prospect I would move, but since he's 21 (2019 draft) and will be in the KHL for 2 more years I'm not sure he's of interest even though he's a great prospect. That leaves Hameenaho, Foote, Vilen, and Clarke as the rest of my personal top 10. Of them, Hameenaho has the highest upside and Foote is the most NHL ready.</div></div>
The lowest I would sell helly (cause market value) is replace Casey with Gritsyuk or Hameenaho. That being said, having the entire top 5 of your prospect pool as untouchable when you are trading for a top 3 goaltender isn’t exactly realistic. I can understand it for the top 4, but Casey is someone Fitzgerald will probably be open to moving. Just my opinion.

Hmm interesting. Tbh I don’t, which is why I have him here. Maybe replace with their second best prospect then? Lol. Tbh, he’s just a placeholder. Solid player who has some potential.
Also, as I showed based on previous trade history, this is how much it costs to get a starting goaltender long term. And if you look at it, a late 1st, 2nd, and 3rd + daws, vanacek and a former 2nd is crazy when you are getting a vezina winner back. I didn’t ask for holtz.

And above was not my offer.</div></div>
Cbj and van both went for the playoffs so they didn’t move their guys, not because they couldn’t
And sorry, yeah not your offer

In my opinion, he’s smart enough that speed won’t be a huge issue. But he definitely needs to bulk up. His two-way game is already solid though.

Obviously losing Little really affected PP#2 but Maurice, papa Lowry and Bones player usage hasn't helped it any since either. Hopefully with some health and better options both PP groups will be better and underperformers won't be seeing time on the man advantage.</div></div>
I was thinking the same when I was making it. I kept thinking it’s the best it has been in years. Hopefully chevy can move schmidt cause heinola would look very good on that pp with perfetti giving the jets 2 dynamic power plays

Let’s take Ryan miller for example then, even though while miller was good, he was no hellebuyck.
Miller returned:
1st, 3rd, jaroslav halak (young 1A goaltender), Chris Stewart (young middle 6 player), William carrier (recent 2nd rounder).
Let’s say clarke=carrier and 3rd = 3rd. Then 1st>>2nd. Stewart >> daws. Halak >> vanacek. Your offer is under your own comparable by a lot. And, hellebuyck > miller so it will be even more. And you want retention??
That ain’t it mate

Get Ville In
I would do that schmidt trade. However, doubt Anaheim does with the current cap situation league wide. It looks more like chevy will run with what we have and then wait until the right injury/trade for ville to come in. Ville will be even more disgruntled to start the season, but I doubt he’s going back down once he comes up.

Oilers go all in for Cup Run
I think you are forgetting that Campbell had a .888 save percentage. Number one goaltenders don’t post below league average numbers. And with that contract, he has negative value.
And the pieces don’t really appeal to Winnipeg either (other than the 1st). Don’t need more wingers and don’t need more ld.

Solid contract. If he can add a bit of a goal scoring tough, this contract could be a big steal.

My ask revised
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wqrrior</b></div><div>As a neutral fan in this argument, I have seen Devils fans offering literal garbage, so I know why Jets fans would be irritated, but I still see no realistic world where Holtz and a First are both included in the same deal for a goalie. It's either Holtz with a 2nd or a 1st with a prospect down a tier like Stillman. A negotiation requires both sides to budge, and if the Jets won't budge i don't think the market to sell him will be there. Not enough teams are forming a big line to get a goalie.</div></div>
I completely agree. I think the actual deal comes down to something a bit less than I said, as it always is in a deal.
As I said, I would probably take vanacek, holtz, a 2nd, and a mid round pick/prospect.

Your probably right at least 1b should be in house, would be nice to find that 1a that a lot of teams get In top 5 in draft, possibly a similar route to Buffalo and them acquiring tage Thompson type</div></div>
If I’m chevy, I personally move helly and scheifele asap and go for a top 10 pick to be that 1c/rd.
Also move guys like Dillon and other pending UFAs who won’t sign for high picks which we can flip at the draft to fill the other needs. Then we can really start competing again in 2 years time.

Long term roster
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Birtle34</b></div><div>So want the two goalies to be all ready to be in house just leaving junior, I believe quite possibly there could be a need to completely replace 1a/1b at Center, definitely need the man, the myth, the legend buffy reincarnation</div></div>
agreed. I do think that at least one of lambert, lucius, perfetti, or vilardi can be top 6 centers in the NHL. My money is on 2 getting there. However, we may not have a true 1C for a while without schiefele if Lambert doesn't pan out (he's the only one I think has that potential). That's why I would entertain the idea of getting another big top 6 center and moving 3 of those guys to the wings to better balance the lineup.
We do need a buff reincarnation. But realistically, a right-handed samberg would do tbh. Someone who is solid in his own end and can also skate.
I'm a big believer in dom being a 1A and milic being a 1B. However, that's not happening for another 3-4 years in my opinion so we need a stop gap

Im not assuming its a dubois comparable team. But debrincat is a 60-70 pt winger. Scheifele is a 1C/consistent pt per gm player and 30g scorer.
Scheifele by nature is worth more. No need to sell low on him. Look what horvat got. That is the benchmark

Considering the jets probably want to trade him with an extension, id say they want swayman and/or carlo back since they both fill a need. If not carlo, someone with term. Don't want more rentals like debrusk coming back.
Id saw swayman is a priority since he fills a need until dom/milic are ready in the next 3-4 years
