Nothing in Strickland's post says theyre all going to the Blues. All it says is "are all players who could be on the move".

Bounce back
Boston isn’t trading Forbort for Zadorov 1 for 1. Lol.
The entire point of moving Forbort is to gain his cap space, not replace it with another 3rd pair D man. 🙄

cant imagine why the Bruins would do that trade, just getting nothing of value for two important players. I get the cap implications, but it's just poor asset management

Bergy back keep tandem trade hall
Wouldnt hate any of this, personally id rather keep Hall over Sharangovich and move money elsewhere
This basically downgrades the team, while not using the cap space you created anywhere
I dont think its feasible to have the goalie tandem at almost 9mill

You are well overpaying Yegor Sharangovich in any form of a trade. He shouldn't be making over $2.25
Not sure why Holl gets $3m either

Boston declines quite easily. Don't think that trade gets either of those guys individually, let alone the pair.

a new look
If the Bruins trade Frederic, it will be for a whole lot more than a couple mid round picks. Not the same situation or player, but look at how much Jeannot got at the deadline. Not saying Frederic can get that much, but those type of players are highly valued throughout the league and I'd say Jeannot and Freddy have similar skill sets (if anything, Freddy is a better, more well-rounded player)

Ullmark and Hall to Carolina
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac555</b></div><div>Canes counter with future considerations…otherwise you’ll have to find a different way to solve your cap problems with one move. Canes certainly wouldnt trade 4 assets for an injury prone over paid 31 year old winger and a goalie who melts in the playoffs. We can get that without any assets in UFA</div></div>
You are welcome to decline the trade on merit, value (you are actually underpaying), need, whatever.
However your evaluation of the players is off.
Hall isn’t injury prone, in 3 years in Boston he had 1 injury, it happens, he played every game after coming over in trade and then played 81 last year. Ironically Ullmark was hurt, right at the end of the regular season, did not dress 2 of the last 3 games to rest, the other was to test how he was. He was playing through that injury in the playoffs. I will always question management why they did not turn to Swayman up 3-1 to give him some time to heal. Saying he melted down without context is ignorant. 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t see Canes doing this. Better off re-signing Freddy or Raanta for cheaper AAV. But i can see a Hall trade rather easily.

Whole reason the bruins would look to trade Gryz is cause we need to clear cap space, taking back a worse player on a worse contract is a nonstarter.

More realistic trades for swayman then last time
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RoyalBlueSabres</b></div><div>He didn't even start for Boston this year lmao.
He is not a guaranteed starter, look at binnington took the league by storm and now is not even above replacement level.
Goalies don't carry that type of value.</div></div>
Well you see when we signed Ullmark, swayman was a rookie and rask had a high chance of not returning so of course we were gonna sign a vet goalie to help him. We knew Ullmark was good but did we expect him to become a Vezina nominee. No we didn’t, yes Swayman has his kinks but he is a great goalie and is only 24 it just sucks for him that a guy also in his spot was Arguably the best goalie this year.
Use your head and do your research before talking.
Funny how you make it seem like swayman doesn’t play much lol considering since we signed Ullmark, swayman still has started 47% of the games.
He was even the better goalie in 21-22

Lmao even if Ottawa has to turn around and trade assets to immediately dump Forbort, this is still way too good of a deal to pass up. Love JBD, and I see him as a full timer next year, but he's a 6-7. Boucher I don't even know if he'll ever stay healthy long enough to properly develop into an NHL player, let alone a good one. This is an absolute robbery by Ottawa.

Position of need, sure, but is he worth that investment? That kind of package nets far better than a 30 year old center who just broke through and had an incredible year on a historic powerplay/ offense. He has never proven to be a true #1

I’m curious, why Pickering over POJ?
I would much rather take the NHL ready now POJ who is still young and can jump right into a top4 role. Especially when it’s likely Gryz will be a cap casualty.

Bruins Proposal I Received
Bruins wouldn't take that package for Swayman alone, and in any case makes way more sense for the Bruins to trade Ullmark than Swayman given Sway is younger and his contract will probably come in at a somewhat lower AAV than Ullmark's current 5M.

All teams offseason pt 17
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Cap space would be the main reason, I guess. BOS is going to need to find a lot of it somehow.
You make it sound like Carlo would be worth a 1st or more. He's a solid defenceman, but he's not Ekholm or anything. A 2nd (and maybe a B prospect) would be fair value for him, IMO. Adding Fabbro is considerable overkill.</div></div>
There's like 5 other directions the Bruins can go to clear cap, moving less important pieces than Carlo (Reilly buyout, Forbort buyout/trade, Grzelcyk trade, Hall trade. Ullmark trade seems fairly likely too given they already have Swayman). And yeah, Carlo could definitely be worth a 1st round pick. Doesn't take a player of Ekholm's calibre. Hronek got a 1st and 2nd, Orlov did as a rental while Carlo is young and cost-controlled. Hell, somehow Ben Chiarot, Rasmus Ristolainen, and Alex Romanov were worth a first.

Next year version a million
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bhavikp27</b></div><div>"I think after the disaster that was the Florida series it's clear our defense needs to be reworked a bit"
We're not really in better shape since this is worse group. Aside from Forbort, they had the right guys with execution being the issue. Good process, bad results.
Zboril will stay up and once again, optimistic to think Lohrei and Beecher will make the team. Callahan will definitely not and will likely never have the offense for the NHL.
Obviously, he won't repeat this year because it's nearly impossible to keep this level for any goalie but he's played well in Buffalo and he should remain a solid starter. Also, it's not like the Kings are giving up a haul here.</div></div>
Never said it was a haul, but I'm high on both of the prospects you put in. If Blake were to go after Ullmark, I don't think you get both Pinelli and Spence. But that's just my gut thought.
Regardless, I think there are cheaper options that will help LA stay under the cap better. Like re-signing Korpisalo, who shouldn't come close to 5mil.

2023 Offseason
20 man roster. 🤬🙄. Seriously? These really need to stop.
The bottom half of the defense is terrible. Lohrei isn’t ready and every guy you traded away is better than the bottom 3.
If you are keeping Hall you don’t sign Bertuzzi and fix the D and C.
Harrisson isn’t ready and certainly not as 4th liner. His D is bad to begin with, that’s not his game. It’s Beecher’s , who does not provide enough offense to be a 3. Lysell was not good in Prov. Merkulov/Steen better options/more ready than all of them and nowhere to be seen?
