Realistic Speaking Hanifin tanev Trades
The Lindholm return was a 1st, 2nd and Vaakanainen (basically a 3rd). The other 2nd was to take on John Moore's contract (1.25 years x $2.75M for an AHLer). Grzelcyk is a UFA this season and isn't playing up to his cap hit, but he doesn't require a 2nd to get moved (nor should the Bruins do it) and Lohrei/Vaakanainen's values are also debatable.

meh maybe why why not
Calgary will probably want more especially if they retain. The Arizona trade doesn't work for Boston. Not sure how you see it but 1) Bruins shouldn't waste an asset to get rid of Grzelcyk; 2) Dumba sucks, is still not worth $2M and Bruins already have a similar player in Shattenkirk; 3) O'Brien isn't worth a 2nd/3rd pick either

Its not what you think
Forsling is an option, but you could probably get him for cheaper and most importantly, you should. Same for Stephenson who has regressed this season and you're signing him until he's 37. Rather wait for a real top line guy. Lyubushkin was good in Arizona, but he's played like a 7th D recently.
Top6 is decent but you better hope Poitras and Lysell take a big step otherwise good luck with Marchand, Coyle and Stephenson regressing. The lack of elite/top line forwards will likely be an issue.
Kuntar has played well on the 4th line in the AHL. That's not comparable to the 4th line in the NHL. Boqvist has been a top line AHL player unlike him and Beecher; he's better than both. Beecher has also been a fringe NHLer, not sure what he's doing that makes him so much better than Boqvist or even Lauko and Steen.

What would it take
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mfiore19</b></div><div>Forbort is a shell of himself since the injury, getting another brute wouldn’t hurt. Wilson is exactly what the Bruins need. Toughness with some skill. Everyone on this team is too nice and happy and that’s their problem.</div></div>
I agree they're too nice but Wilson is on 33-pts pace and his new contract which runs until he's 37yo hasn't even started. For a team like the Bruins, they can't afford to take this risky contract that will inevitably be a disaster regardless of Wilson's grit/intimidation factor.

DeBrusk is better than McLeod, Chicago isn't doing that, not touching that Wilson contract and Edmundson is a pylon just like Forbort.

Don't worry, Bruins won't move a middle-6 F for an AHLer either.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>I can't see you getting 2nd for jvr or 3rd for heinen but you can try</div></div>
van Riemsdyk is playing at near-60 pts pace. His experience/pedigree and his $1M cap hit would definitely interest contenders. Monahan just got a 1st so good management would likely be able to get at least a late 2nd.

Also a worse team. Kunin and Burroughs aren't good. I will keep Boqvist, Grzelcyk and the 2nd everyday over having them.

Good for Columbus. I wouldn't trust any executive trading a 1st or more for Boone Jenner to lead my organization.

They're trading 2 firsts for a 3rd liner. They need top6 talent, not another 3rd liner.

Need offensive help
They've actually played well in 3/5 of the games after ASG, unlike most of their wins before where they got outplayed and managed to win.
As seen with the 7 middle-six forwards they have, guys like Duclair/Wennberg/Johansson won't move the needle. This team needs top6 talent and they just don't have many assets nor they should they give up 1st/2nd for rentals. Middleton is a #4/5 D.

The 2nd is the only interesting asset in the Nashville trade and this offer will be beaten. Bruins don't need another (fringe) 3rd liner nor should they trade their 1st unless it's a top4 D/top6 F with term.

Nashville did that with their top4 of Josi/Subban/Ekholm/Ellis and ended up lacking the high-end power up front. Defensemen can only do so much and vice versa.

Upper End Of Extensions
Hanifin isn't worth as much unless he takes a step. Running with a $96K in cap space will become a problem after few injuries. Bussi is there and they need to improve up front so moving Ullmark (who will be 31yo and UFA next year) is the thing to do.

3 moves that arent trades
Agreed with one but not interested by the free agents. Kessel is barely a 3rd liner and you've got van Riemsdyk and DeBrusk on the 4th when they're both better players and should both be in the top9. I do expect a push to get Bonino.
