Hawks at deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HatterTParty</b></div><div>Just a thought. I like the idea of pageau assuming his value isn’t too high. However, one of my buddies is a huge devils fan and he believes the devils are way too high palmieri to let go of him. I’m inclined to believe that because he is a very consistent bright spot on a very inconsistent team.
I heavily agree that holm deserves a chance with the hawks because he’s been a constant presence with the ice hogs. Also, I do wish we still has joker as well, but I do have to say that the run and gun offense is definitely benefitting him. It’s actually fun to watch the team again and everyone looks like they’re working hard.</div></div>
Totally agree with everything and here's one other point.
Obviously Palmieri and Pageau are highly unlikely but there is Rocco Grimaldi of Nashville as an idea. He is great analytically and passes the eye test. Last night he was the only one on Nashville getting consistent looks. He is 26 with an expiring 1 mil contract. He could very well be a nice addition to the bottom six for some scoring or to the PP2. Look him up on Charting Hockey or Natural Stat Trick and lmk what you think.

new lines and the new guy
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NickC1988</b></div><div>I think this season, just to get acclimated to the speed of the league, the winger spot is perfect for him. It's either that or back to junior. In my opinion, we shouldn't be moving anyone over from their natural position for a rookie (Strome). He has plenty of time to develop into a center, it's not going to happen overnight.
It's interesting to see the top 6 struggle with such a great shut down 3rd line supporting them. You'd think guys like Toews and Cat would have more freedom to play their game on that top line. Cat hasn't been impressive at all this season, and it's slowly becoming concerning. Gus is almost at the alarming phase at this point, the PP stinks again and he looks to have slowed down. I'd like to see Dach given a chance on the top line with Toews and Cat at some point. Something will click and I can easily see this team in a playoff spot, it's just a matter of what will click.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HatterTParty</b></div><div>Absolutely! Top six may need to see strome and cat reunited. Strome just seems lost without cat. Also, you’re right about Gus. I was at this game, and I’ll be honest, his offensive game isn’t as sharp as last year. His skating is actually becoming a concern as well.
I do think we need help on the PP. I can’t believe how little they generate on the PP. That being said, I also don’t know what to with Dach. I feel like it’s a huge hit to his development if you don’t play him at center, but (ironically), we don’t seem to have room for him. The last thing anyone in this franchise, or even fan base, want to see is him become just a winger. That be a disaster after how much many fans hated him being picked in the draft, myself included.</div></div>

I like Grabner in our Bottom six or middle six and what would you value him at. Also Hamonic could be a nice addition now looking at Keith-Murphy Boqvist-Mattaa and Hamonic-De Haan.
Thoughts?

Koekkoek is a solid set up man with size and speed
those type of players thrive here naturally but having 6'3 Fleury and 6'2 Koekkoek would be nice on 3rd pair to go with 6'3 Chiarot and Petry and 6'4 Weber we'll be a hard team to push around
Dahlstrom is a Big heavy D who wont capitalize on his size
reminds me of my Tutor in Highschool Bruce Graham who a 6'6 when NYR took him in the 2nd round but he refused to play the grit edge style as such he never made the NHL</div></div>
Thats a very oddly specific story

What if Merkley cracked the lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ccc</b></div><div>Oh yeah I’ve heard all the news on Merkley but didn’t know about that AHL clause of age, if that’s the case than yeah idk if he’ll get a junior team to take him. In the NHL tho you can’t act the way he does and I think he personally has left the Juniors and etc behind because he thinks/ wants to be in nhl. So maybe he’ll turnaround in the NHL or the dressing room will make him. But supposedly he got along really well with the sharks when he played with them before. Especially burns. But this is all supposedly and at the end of the day probably made a bigger deal by the media than it is and so we can’t tell if he’s good with our room until he’s actually here. So for now we just gotta hope he turns his attitude into something somewhat proper.
Otherwise that will be what breaks him if anything because his talent is there</div></div>
Oh 100%...sharks are a pretty likable group of guys (coming from a hawks fan). here is a video by an amateur YouTuber just trying to put together the pieces he is really not the best but he puts the narrative together very well. Cheers brother

What if Merkley cracked the lineup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ccc</b></div><div>I’m gonna assume it has to do with his junior contract that’s why I was asking. Idk I wouldn’t want him to make the lineup tho, unless like he legit has do (like he’s just impressing to much) but I’d rather him cook in the oven another year and let him loose next year</div></div>
Ryan Merkley has been known to be sort of a cancer so to speak. I've watched him live before, with his great offensive upside comes his terrible attitude towards players and coaches, constantly blaming others and giving up on plays in the defensive end. He was reportedly told by his junior team to not show up to camp because what happened last year with all this. Since he is not 20 (the age the CHL and NHL have agreed upon entering the AHL) he will spend either this season or next playing for an independent league or a league in Europe depending on if he will land on a new OHL (many gm's in the OHL hate him). Don't get me wrong kid is very good and if anyone can fix attitude issues its the sharks with locker room guys such as Joe, Couture, and Karlsson. I would be cautious in rushing him into the NHL because he may get mad if he doesn't see results immediately.
Sorry for the long post hope this helps.
