Everything falling apart
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Canoehead</b></div><div>If they blow it up this offseason the team will have a reputation as quitters, as there is still one year before any move would need to be made. Remember Bettman said that this team needs to sell out every game to make it work. They fell short by 1000-1500 a game last season and under this plan I could see that ballooning to 3000-4000 empty seats. I can't see Alice from Accounting or Sebastian from sales make that business case. Kevin from Hockey Ops will do his boss' bidding.</div></div>
No fan has hope this core and they basically have 1 more year to make work before all the players leave in FA

Everything falling apart
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Canoehead</b></div><div>You won't see a sellout for years and will be a have-not team financially. I don't see anyone present that plan with revenue projections to Chipman.</div></div>
What would you rather watch? This current roster player next season and losing or a bunch of young prospects and rookies traded for through a rebuild and play on the team next season? Kyle Connor could fetch a guy like Alexander holtz, Ehlers would probably get more young rookies (Shane Pinto from Ottawa) get to see Perfetti, Lucius, Samberg, Heinola, Berdin all play. I’d rather do a clean start and get a bunch of solid prospects in return and watch those guys next season. I wouldn’t even care if they lost a lot of games I’d just prefer to watch the young guys play

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Canoehead</b></div><div>If they nuke it now, they will be in the wilderness for 5+ years. If they trade 80, 55, 37 this long before the team control expires, then expect trade requests from 27, 81 as well. Good luck selling any tickets.</div></div>
If you move helle, Connor, Ehlers and Morrisey as well you’re gonna get a good return for them. If you did a clean house tomorrow the rebuild wouldn’t be terrible and people would probably want to see this young team compete

What choice do they have? They don’t have the components currently to win.

Dubois
Jets had a terrible season last year with a lot of issues with the team. I’m putting money on the fact Dubois is trying to force the team to change before he makes any type of commitment by threatning by leaving in UFA

Dubois being sneaky
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MisstheWhalers</b></div><div>Again, I doubt that's his angle, he's just looking to move on and for some strange reason he decided to let everyone know now, he doesn't seem like a team player, best to move on from PLD now.</div></div>
If he’s pulling that type of attitude, he’s not gonna get respected around the league or teams are gonna be hesitant to sign him. Going to 2 teams for shorts amount of time then wanting right out doesn’t look good on a player under 23.

He’s the only real major component that’s forcing the jets to make changes. If they keep the current system and have a crap coach he won’t stay, if they look to re-design the team and get trotz things can be different.

Wheeler is from Minnesota and with the looks of Fiala being gone there’s always a chance

Tear it all down

2) "Davorak" could be traded in the next 2 years. He's on the trading blocks already.
3) Dubois can play wing.</div></div>
Wright is gonna get drafted by the habs, and Dubois is more of clear cut center, he’s not well utilized if he’s moved to the wing. And Davorok is a 3c so you run 3 lines deep cause he’s got term on a cheap contract like how Tampa has Point, Stamkos and Cirlelli.

With Suzuki, Wright and Davorak I doubt they target another top line center for a while

With Montreal’s current position, I think they would rather keep Wright. Dubois wanting to be a UFA in 2 years makes going after him for teams a risk because they don’t know if he would actually commit long term

I don’t see him passing number 6 unless someone goes off the board in the top 5. Leaving a right shot D a available. If he somehow slips to 12 jackets snag him there.he’s already on their radar.</div></div>

With the sabers position currently, they would rather develop Krebs and use their first this year. I can’t see oilers going for helle with that return.

If they went fall rebuild, Connor, Ehelers, Dubois and Hellebuyck will get major returns. Scheifele, Morrisey and Pionk will get value back as well but not like what the others will get.
