Absolutely not, if Kevin Hayes couldn't last in Philly he is certainly not a Rick Tocchet player. And he's clearly a locker room cancer as Philly is a much better team without him coasting on the ice and in the room.

Canucks reported trade deadline targets
I think their big targets will be Tanev, Carrick, Vatrano, Fabbro.
I think they could only bring back Tanev in a three way deal where they trade Myers somewhere, maybe Toronto for our fifth. Carrick for a 4th could happen and then I don’t know about Fabbro or Vatrano value wise.

Lineup Next Game
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vancity2196</b></div><div>I agree with you on Juulsen coming out.
It would have been better if Myers comes out so that the blueline should be:
Hughes-Hronek
Zadorov-Soucy
Cole-Juulsen
Would that combination work? In your opinion?</div></div>
Myers and Zadorov are fine but not ideal. I think if we really make a push we probably deal a first round pick for Tanev and send Myers the other way to save $$. Then we’d probably use the $1.5 for a guy like Vatrano, sending Lafferty the other way

One more push and prepare to rebuild
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>suora</b></div><div>In case you are out of it in the playoffs, you would need NHL ready players + top 6 forward for next year.
Top4 D will be needed next summer as well.
Personally I see it would make no harm to give a chance to Dorofeyev and Podolzkin to improve their game this year with the big guns and hope someone will crack in the lineup next year.
For Guentzel you need a player in return who can help the team next year when the team tries to go for the one last push with off-season signings</div></div>
That’s probably the bones of the deal + our first. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Kuzmenko, Brwstewicz, 1st

Why is Ian Cole healthy scratched?
I don’t know if Soucy is ready to play Saturday against the Devils?
It should be Juulsen that’s suppose to be healthy scratch.
And I believe Kuzy deserves another chance to play the next game.
Tocchet’s decision making on Kuzy is 🤬</div></div>
Karlsson is back in the minors as soon as Soucy is back. If Soucy’s back I think he should be in for Cole. Will be? Probably not. I bet Juulsen comes out

16pts and +13 would put Myers second on the Leafs D in points, tied for 1st in +/-, and tied for 8th in points. Just stating the facts.

Untradeable offseason
Why are we signing Brady Skjei for 5x$5 when we have Zadorov who probably signs for cheaper or EP2 in the wings to make the team. Soucy is fine playing in the top 4 and we don’t need another Tyler Myers long term deal. I think this management is smart enough to not do something like this.

Year 2 after Stamkos trade

Mantha was just a guy I thought possible.</div></div>
Tampa is in an extremely tough position. Sold the future for the two cup wins. And some weird trades like Hagel and Jeannot. Not sure if they can afford to take on big contracts. Fill out the team like the Canucks did. Guys like Cole, Soucy, Lafferty etc is the recipe to keep them competitive.

In Yzerman we trust
Call me crazy but I am not a believer in the Yzerman plan in Detroit. Not many elite prospects and the development of guys like Kasper and Edvinsson hasn’t been ideal the past year. I’m sure they’ll be fine but some of the signings and trades don’t make the team a contender. They are still a fringe wildcard team at best.

Jake Guentzel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vancity2196</b></div><div>Canucks aren’t getting Guentzel.
Kuzmenko is a keeper.
This trade won’t work TBH.
Maybe a team that is contending for a Stanley cup might get Guentzel.</div></div>
The Canucks are top 5 in the league. Does that not make them a cup contender? The only reason we aren’t number 1 is because our powerplay sucks and our top six has fallen off the past 10 games. Need a better winger for Petey and a better winger for Miller and Boeser. Kuzmenko’s work ethic this past summer is the reason they won’t be competitive. We need him to be the elite 40 goal winger that he is and not some lazy half effort forechecker on an otherwise tough team.

As a destination spot, the deal makes no sense. I’m sure Calgary would want Lysell and a forward. Don’t see how Lindholm gets more than Horvat in a trade.

Probably not but the Canucks need to figure this out soon because you can’t have a $5.5mil player riding the pine.

Realistic Off-season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vancity2196</b></div><div>I wouldn’t trade him just because it’s a trade rumour and he didn’t ask for a trade.
Washington has too many Russian wingers in their roster, so there’s no point of bring a guy like Kuzmenko.
I rather have Washington find somebody else besides him.</div></div>
Doesn’t have to go to Washington, just put a random team there. You trade him in exchange for cap space pretty much. I think that there’s still the opportunity for him to be a well rounded top six player which would be the best outcome for both sides. He clearly didn’t do much to better his game in the summer and that’s showing when guys like Lafferty and Suter are out-skating him for Petey’s wing.
