CHI has to accept an offer like this if it hits the table. Would be a big piece in a rebuild. I do think its an overpay but I think that may have to happen if there are multiple teams throwing their hat in the ring and Tbh NJD can handle letting go of this for a sure thing. LAK would be the other team which may be able to compete with an offer like this but I find it difficult for the other teams if NJD put something like this on the table.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>brw5000</b></div><div>Does not make any sense for the hawks and they could get a much better offer elsewhere.</div></div>
I’d say better fitting offer elsewhere.
Won’t get that value elsewhere but definitely will get something that makes more sense for the direction the franchise is going. If they planned to compete again next year, this offer would be really good, but I think the deal will involve at least two firsts and two good prospects under the age of 22
Problem is finding a team that can use Deb now and those picks won’t be 20s-32… maybe LA? Not sure what direction they are going in but heard lots of players might hang them up, so could make sense… Ottawa would be great as well… 2023 first, Lodin, Lassi, Ospatchuk? Maybe try to get another pick but i doubt they move 7OA

Hawks
Racists aren't really good for rebuilds. Hawks want nothing to do with Deangelo.
Mike Smith is a cap dump no matter how good he's doing right now. Again a 50 year old goalie doesn't help a rebuild in any way.
Edmonton declines the Yamamoto trade.
The free agent signings are a mess too.

The biggest three team trade of all time
Hawks wouldn't even email or call back with this kind of offer; terrible return for a top 5 goal scorer in the league that's only 24 years old a couple months ago.

Leafs Deadline or Something
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Aussie_Blackhawk</b></div><div>As someone who is fortunate to watch him play regularly. He is noticeable almost every night and every shift he brings energy. Plays well on both ends of the ice and is able to put up points. 2nd year in and he's only getting better. at 23 years old and 1.5M for 2 years after this, he would seem a really quality addition to any competing team as he can play in any situation realistically. All this while being on one of the worst teams in the NHL.
I don't see Leafs paying what it would take for us to move him but if they did I think it would be a win for both sides overall. At least you know what your getting with Hagel, the prospect/pick are unknown in the league at this stage</div></div>

Big Brain
Hawks aren't going to take on Pettersson's and McGinn's contracts in my opinion as they offer little value to a retooling young team with the holes they would potentially plug already filled. As such, 1 late 1st, 2nd and 7th just isn't enough to take on $6.75M of cap for players not needed.

New Love 4 the Leafs
Hawks aren't paying for an overpriced backup goalie carrying that cap hit for multiple years; makes zero sense for them to pay. Now if the Leafs want to pay Chicago then that's a different story.

Rangers going for the second tier deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SociallyHawkward</b></div><div>It's honestly not terrible.
Strome for chytil.
Flower for georgiev and a 2nd.
Dehaan for hajek and nemeth.
The hawks get a lot younger instead of trading these guys for late draft picks in a meh draft.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>brw5000</b></div><div>The value is there for Chicago, but Strome for Chytil is a project for a project and I'm not sure he would do well on the hawks. Nemeth and Hajek don't make too much sense to me because they have so many young defensemen they should be giving opportunities to. Even though they aren't high potential players, they should still get time if the team goes the rebuild route which they should. I like Georgiev and the 2nd though.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Aussie_Blackhawk</b></div><div>Respectfully, I would have to disagree. Value wise its not so bad but too much coming back. Here is my reasoning:
Strome is looking better than Chytil and on a far worse team.
Flower for Georgiev and 2nd is fine
CDH can return us draft capital as we have a lot of guys who can play the LD role coming through the ranks. I would prefer to see Kalynuk or Beaudin given a chance above Hajek IMO.</div></div>
Thanks for the feedback. I was really just attempting to fill both teams needs. I could see kravtsov over Chytil but tbh I have always loved kravtsovs game and really see him becoming a good weapon on the second line for NYR especially due to their lack of depth now. If the right asset isn’t available for the rangers to get back I could see them holding on to him and bringing him back when the khl season ends again to boost his value (or decide to retain him).

Trade Deadline
This is bad for CHI. Hagel is worth the 1st alone normally, with his value to us its likely more and then you add the other pieces it just complicates the whole deal.
I would say Hagel is as good as untouchable unless its an offer we can't refuse.

That's a given for most players. It's crazy for someone to think that about his maturity level and development considering he's 20 and hasn't played very much cause of his injury.</div></div>
That's the standard that young players like Dach are held to. He was seen as a future leader and now there's questions about it. So I assume Chicago is trying to sell high on him while they can before other teams find out the same information as they have
