Maybe a 2nd, but definitely not a 2nd + pick.

I think Stastny would be a perfect fit even though he's not flashy. You're probably overpaying but with the limited draft capital COL is faced it'll be hard to land someone like Stastny who should return a 2nd round pick all day for contending teams.

Boesser costs more than that</div></div>
I can't imagine Husso getting more than 3million AAV as a bridge deal.
Boeser might cost more, but in this proposal both teams are trading for established players that each team needs. Boesers 7.5 million QA most likely scares some teams away.

I understand what you're saying. What other "young" and affordable RHD are available for a team interested in acquiring Boeser? In my opinion, the only trade that makes sense for Boeser is VAN getting a top 4 RDH back and Severson fits that bill. Yes he'll need a contract after next season, but I think VAN could get him at a reasonable AAV on his next deal.

It's almost worth it just getting rid of Scabdella's contract. I don't like trading for rentals either, but the bigger picture here is adding Gio to fit with Parayko AND getting Scabdella's contract off the books.

Using this logic the Blues might as well sell Perron and Husso before the trade deadline...

It would be after this season and this proposal assumes we can't re-sign him due to his likely AAV on his next deal.

Asst GM
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsGoPens69</b></div><div>I don’t think Pens have to add that 2nd.
You can see it on capfriendly. Literally every teams fans have posted a trade trying to acquire Kappy. If a fraction of real life NHL GMs are interested. They wouldn’t have to add.
Is Kappy in the doghouse, yes. But he undeniably talented. He super fast, wicked wrist shot, a decent playermaker, plays physical enough, and a good 200 foot player. It’s why the Pens traded a 15th overall pick and a “B”/“B-“ prospect for him just a year and a half ago.
He’s a .5 -.75 PPG player even playing poorly. That’s a good “floor”. Let him get hot for acouple weeks and he’s a 20 goal scorer again. A 20 goal scorer “ceiling”.</div></div>
I added the 2nd due to Garlands cost control over the next 4-5 years. Because I agree with you that Kap + a 2nd for Garland is an overpay, I had VAN sending a 3rd back in return. I'm throwing this idea out because 1) VAN wants cap flexibility and this can help provide that. 2) PIT may/may not have a long-term plan for Kap, and if not, Garland could slot in seamlessly.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Yeah, as a dyed-in-the-wool Kings fan, this is wrong for us on both value and fit. AA is a UFA so Helleson is an overpay, and we're set on RD unless Cale Makar wants to marry a Hollywood starlet.</div></div>
Thanks for the feedback. I tried to give the best value for both sides, but didn't realize 1) Helleson has more value than I thought (not very familiar with COL prospect pool) and 2) LA was deep on RHD.

I'd imagine he'll command an AAV and/or term amount the GMDA wouldn't offer him at the end of this season, especially considering Mikkola's and Scotty P's development.

Give Me Graves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mokumboi</b></div><div>I don't think Lindholm requires anywhere near a Chych package. Probably almost the same as Graves would fetch, really.
Of course, the Devils might be much more willing to deal at this particular moment. Lindholm we would need to wait on a little bit, with the Ducks kinda hanging around the edge of the playoff spots.</div></div>
100% agree. Lindholm would be huge for this seasons push, but knowing he'll likely walk in free agency makes me a bit uneasy. That's why if we could land Graves with another year on his contract, plus the possibility of re-signing him to a reasonable AAV is very appealing to me.
