More ReTool
If our direction is to be worse next season than this I don't dislike any of the moves aside from the Leddy to Pittsburgh move.
However, as exciting as it is picking 10th vs 16th, I don't think it makes all too much of a difference once you look 5 years down the road. Don't get me wrong I would love for the Blues to trade up, but I don't think we're at the point where we can trade Binnington and not crumble. We may not make playoffs again next year, but after this year you have to expect the expectation would be to do so from the front office and from the players alone. Culture and belief in being able to win isn't something that's really too popular on here because you can't quantify it and compare. But I'd venture to guess if we made 2 or 3 moves to sell off pieces and finished towards the bottom of the league next year it would be crippling to the young core that we're building right now.

What would it cost for Parayko
St Louis has several aging D on long contracts. I would be all over this if I were them. I know Mokumbo would highly disagree with me though. He loves Parayko.

it's very fair, and girard would do very well next to Dobson or Pulock. I don't know if the Avs' front office would do it though, they love girard.

curious on thoughts of value for both sides
Not a fan of trading Stankoven, doubt the Bruins would trade him for any less.
Value wise probably close to fair I’d say.

Fun ideas
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffdaddy</b></div><div>Didn't mean to upset you. Simply looking to dump salary for MIN since they're in cap hell while also bringing back assets for a playoff push. Seems reasonable to me.</div></div>
I'm not upset, I don't expect other teams fanbases to know Minnesota's roster. Frankly, they don't care enough to know. They follow their team and that's it.
I personally prefer to know and have at least a cursory knowledge of other teams, and it's players, simply to know and understand what a team does and doesn’t need when attempting to make trades. It's at bare minimum the courteous thing to do, and stops people for jumping down your throat.
My point was simply that you didn't know, and that there are already internal options on hand for those spots. And that the trade returns are unnecessary.
And sure, you're opening up cap space after this season. But as I said, you're just blocking players that are already internal options, and taking TDL cap space away from a bigger add that could better be put to use helping Boldy. IE, a Patrick Kane or Ryan O'Reilly. Either of those players would help the Wild make a playoff push far better than either Barbashev or Acciari.

Selling it all
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Babatunde</b></div><div>If you're taking Niemela, you're not getting a first for a rental</div></div>
1st and a good prospect has quite literally always been the going rate for a top six/top four rental at the deadline, especially when the player doesn't have control over his destination and the trading team is willing to eat half the salary.

COL just can’t make a Horvat trade working because he’s a pure rental. They can’t give up their only pick in the draft, their top d prospect and a guy slated for the bottom 6 for a pure rental.

Parayko and Company
I'd add a 2nd for parayko if he was available and if he was willing to come to Ottawa
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffdaddy</b></div><div>I personally don't know much about him or have watched him play. I know Ottawa is looking for a RHD and assuming the Blues continue to play .500 hockey, I'm just throwing out ideas to 1) shed cap space & 2) try and build somewhat of a prospect pool. Considering the Blues have hardly any RHD prospects, seems plausible to me..Not sure what Parayko's true value is now TBH.</div></div>
Lassi Thomson already has some NHL qualities, particularly offensively. He has a great shot and great skill/creativity offensively
But some parts of his game are not NHL level yet, mostly on the defensive side of the puck
He can play well defensively but he'll probably never be more than average. He will most likely be a 3rd pairing D-man at ES with some PP time and sometimes play on a higher pairing to stimulate the offense. But who knows? He might develop into a 2nd pairing D-man, he's still only 22 y/o
He has great stats in the AHL and has been doing well overall. I'd say he's still worth a late first but more like 2nd next season if he doesn't start making more of a mark at the NHL level until then.

It hasn’t technically conveyed yet, but ladd isn’t playing this year under the only condition the pick would be transferred, so Arizona owns it. They likely won’t move it over to Arizona until the end of the season when it’s official

Here's how you fix the trade values: delete the whole thing. And Binnington has been a victim of the losing streak, not a perpetrator. He's about the last player to blame.

Hmm. That's a thinker, but I'd probably go ahead and do it. From a distance it seems like Graves has slumped this season, but I think it's just New Jersey's poor finishing and save % that is throwing some of his numbers off.

Probably. I just find amusing how often people reject good trades because of taking back a contract very few seem to understand that it’s required to make the trade and get anything. This site gets way overblown with that type of stuff expecting double the returns.

100%...I feel like if you were to list off the players that Vegas would move, in order of likelihood, Theodore would be in the bottom 5, with Eichel, Stone, Pietrangelo, and Lehner.

Out of context, the Perron offer ain't half bad. in context, I cannot think of a single reason for the Blues to do this.
That said, it's not out of the realm to suggest the Blues might move for Berglund this summer.
