Haha, I actually named it after the Soulja boy song “donk” cuz I thought he said dump, but he actually says donk 😂 haven’t heard the song in years, but the Sisqo verse works too lol

With Arms Wide Open
The Boqvist trade slightly favors CBJ in total value, but we also have one of the deeper prospect pools in the league at this point and are looking for quality over quantity. An ok D-prospect, mid 2nd-rounder, and young-but-struggling winger probably gets beat out by a team simply offering a mid-round 1st. If it's the only offer on the table, though, that's a pretty decent one.

Who do you think you are I am
I don't think this is overly far off.
1st deal is a good idea, assume Arizona wants a first, but getting those young players would be a good lottery ticket. The question would be how teams value vrana. Young, ultra talented but has been going through a lot of issues and hasn't played. That combines with a 5.25m cap hit might make him negative value.
I really like sundqvist and he will probably get a 2nd or so looking at the recent depth forwards moved in the last week.
I've been on the same train of though as young when it comes to klingberg. He can't be this bad right? He was still top 4 quality last year so what happened? He's probably still pissed that he passed on the 7×7 from Dallas. I'd buy low considering it will cost next to nothing.
I like lankinen as he's been decent on subpar defensive squads in the past. Still young and has upside to be a really good backup. Interesting to see how many swings Detroit will make on young goalies. They've done it the last few years.

That is a ridiculous price for Lankinen. I do like him though. I’d do Viro & a 3rd, maybe a 6th for good measure.
EDIT: also, love getting the 2nd rounders in the Kubalik & Sunny deals. I’d look to retain on Jesse and try to trade him. He’s a really weird player. Rather have Suter in the lineup.

I like lankinen but I'm not a fan of renting a goalie for 2 good pieces. I'd rather spend the assets on guys in the line up every night. If he'd resign for a decent amount it's a good tandem though.

I like the TB & CGY trades, though I don't think TB moves Sergachev.
I don't like the Petry or VGK trades. I think you're undervaluing Suter, and way overvaluing Petry (as does everybody on CF). Just sign a younger guy that can play RD instead, or get Bear from Carolina for cheap. I don't want the 34/35yo w/ three years left on his $6M+ contract.

Zadarov will run you a 2nd, WSH 2nd is a little high.. we’d like a pick closer to the mid of the second round so maybe throw in a later round pick upgrade going to Chicago and we should be Golden… Let’s say Florida’s 2021 7th for your own or OTT 5th round pick.

1 year takes Bertuzzi to free agency, Noway Yzerman gives Bert a 1 year deal. Smith should be protected at all costs, Yzerman should expose Namestnikov, Nielsen and Panik.

Imo that’s a big overpay for Bennett, at least from a team like the Red Wings. He’s a good playoff guy on a team that’s years away from making the playoffs again. If anyone where to offer a big package for him it would be a team for in cup contention.
First two trades are fine, although maybe a bit optimistic on the value.
I find the Vancouver trade very interesting. Swapping big contracts and exchanging young guys in need of a change of scenery. I don’t love Virtanen but I’ve kinda given up on Cholowski. I’d be interested to hear what Vancouver fans think about this one.

I like the idea of spending cap on some quality hight priced players to short term contracts (who ever they may be) and then hope in a few years it's the younger players who are worthy of big contracts.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>masterjuddi</b></div><div>I dont know much about Lindstrom, but i imagine Svechnikov is KHL bound after this year since he cant seem to sniff the lineup of one of the leagues worst teams.
Jets pass IMO</div></div>
Yzerman wants to give Svechnikov one last chance. That's the reason why he resigned him and if he hadn't resigned him Svechnikov would be in the KHL now. Lindstrom is here to stay wether its with Detroit or another team. He is a defensive defenseman and he won't put up a lot of points but showed a lot poise in his first 16 NHL games. He doesn't get flustered and turn the puck over like a lot of young defensemen do. He will eat the puck before trying to force a pass. In my opinion Hronek and Stecher are the only RDs better than him on the team now and the gap between Lindstrom and Stecher isn't that big.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jetman</b></div><div>Antti Tuomisto and VGK 3rd for Roslovic</div></div>
I seriously doubt Tuomisto gets traded. I could see Lindstrom being traded before Tuomisto especially with how he has played since being drafted. I personally wouldn't trade him for Roslovic straight up and his holdout isn't helping his value at all. But it looks like he will end up in Pittsburgh.

Idk, there's no guarantee that those draft picks will turn out and the Wings are pretty set with prospects everywhere but center, if they could get a good center in a trade it might be worth it.

From a Jets perspective I think they'd prefer that RHD prospect the Wings have that isn't Seider, the Jets are flush with LHD prospects, honestly anything other then G, LW or LHD prospects are needed.
