<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DerpNation</b></div><div>No one knows what the trade being proposed is. I bet the canes add a pick with faulk to get kase. And that's if Faulk gets the extension he wants. You figured the ducks would trade kase and a pick for Faulk. Which is not going to happen man. There's a big difference in those 2 deals.
A high pick and Faulk for Kase is probably a realistic deal. Not Kase and a 2nd round pick for Faulk, which is what my initial comment was if you read it lol</div></div>
I guess we will see in the coming weeks if a deal gets done

Faulk for Kase Rumor
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>I definitely think LAK would make the trade of Quick for a 1st + Bean + McGuinn, but CAR would probably need to shed Reimer somehow too. Maybe another trade with another team, but that's more lost assets tied to getting Quick. Also, more importantly...Quick with 4 years until he's 37 probably isn't the most desirable goalie out there for CAR. I understand why he's discussed on here because he'll be available, but at some point (if not already last year) he's going to slow down and $5.8M (4) years is a huge commitment. I personally think getting Quick is short sighted. COULD they absorb that mistake. Yeah, but why? Wait until the trade deadline. Maybe Lundqvist or either Lehner/Crow (if healthy) or Dubnyk are available. They could be had for less and (again more importantly) not for a 4 years commitment. Just my opinion though.</div></div>
I like your thought process on this for sure. I would love to get Dubnyk at the deadline. Dubnyk with Mrazek backing him up would be unreal.

Faulk for Kase Rumor
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgfresh78</b></div><div>I agree with what you said about adding a draft pick or McKeown to assure that CAR gets Kase in return. I added McGinn because I thought the trade needed more value and I was unsure on who to add. I still think either Martinook or McGinn get moved in a different trade because it doesn’t make sense to have your potential 13th forward making $2M on the cap.</div></div>
From a team perspective, Marty doesn't get moved. He is a fan favorite and brings something to the locker room that is needed since Willy is gone. I could see McGinn going first.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dgfresh78</b></div><div>I think they’ll get more assets too the rumor is that the return on Faulk is Kase and other assets so we’ll have to see what the return is. What would you think of CAR potentially trading for Quick?</div></div>
I would love for us to send one of our firsts + McGinn or something + prospect for Quick

Ducks are rebuilding and trying to get younger, why would they move one of their younger higher ceiling offensive players, for an over paid, poor defensive style player in Faulk that has 1 year left on his contract lol</div></div>
You might want to reconsider your rude comment lmao

Kase is solid, but injury history makes a 1 for 1 more unlikely.
I'd imagine a 2nd needs to be thrown in from Anaheim.

AHL and NHL are very different though. So I see him starting at wing for maybe the first month or two.

I think you want your right shot players in the left side on a power play. Hamilton Faulk Necas Williams. Aho & Haula at C, lefties on the right, Svech Teuvo Nino & Dizzle</div></div>
I think McGinn will get traded, but i didn't know what for, so I just didn't add him to the lineup. You right, I was mostly just looking at the players.

We don't really need DSP or Perlini considering we have Saku, McGinn, Foegele, Gauthier, and Marty who are all basically the same player.

I don't know how it works, but I don't know if you're able to trade that 2nd since it will most likely be sent to Carolina once Fox hits 30 games next season.

Yeah, no **** lmao. Idc who it is, if you're getting a contract offered to you with 20 million in signing bonuses, you're signing it. Regardless of what team you're on or what team offers it. If he rejected it, our front office would have all the power. Now he is getting what he wants, 5 years and a ton of money. So of course he signed it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>He thinks it's the same team this was under Karmanos, when in reality it's anything but. The fact of the matter is he has taken on more salary than he's given up over the course of his trades here. He is not cheaping out, he's just not spending mindlessly, and people are gonna say he wants to set an internal cap and whatever, we know what he's done. We know what our prospect pool looks like, we know why he isn't spending (Svech won't be cheap) We know this, let others speculate my dude</div></div>
I really enjoy people underestimating us and thinking they know the team based off of the past.
It's a new era of Canes hockey and if people don't realize that, they're turning a blind eye and that's on them.
