Yeah, I felt bad sending Carter to Buffalo. He could be a good veteran to have to support their younger players like Cozens, Mittelstadt, etc. Although that didn't work out too well with Staal this past year...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GAeroVGK</b></div><div>I don't see Vegas getting rid of Krebs and Glass for Eichel. I think Eichel is being overvalued pretty consistently.</div></div>
Eichel is easily a top 15 player in the league when he's healthy. Vegas would totally be fine to trade Krebs and Glass for a true elite center, which they currently lack. They're window to win is now, and they need to make some moves just like they did last year signing Pietrangelo. It is giving up a fair bit, but they are getting more than enough in return.

*Due to all their pending free agents and everything, I had to modify Buffalo's cap hit pre-trade.
**I got a little carried away and had to keep adding players to fix salary problems and everything. Very unlikely and very outrageous, but it was fun.

Love this. I have heard Lysell has some attitude issues, so I don't think he goes top 10. Similar situation to Noel Gunler last year from what I've heard. Also, I don't see Wallstedt going 2nd overall. He's a stud, but no goalie goes that high. And I know this isn't a mock draft, I'm just saying.

Chabot at 4th??? And Kaprizov at 8th??? Boeser and Connor and many others have been in the league for longer and been impactful and valueble to their teams than Kaprizov. I'd even say Boeser and Connor are better right now. Kaprizov will need to have a number of great years to end up being a better pick than guys like Boeser, Connor, Provorov, Werenski, Cirelli, Konecny, etc.

Not bad. I've also heard Lysell has some issues with his attitude, similar to Noel Gunler last year who dropped to mid 2nd round.

Columbus. Jones is still a solid top pair defenseman. Cirelli is good, but Johnson and his contract are terrible. That's a big win for Tampa.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Alfie11</b></div><div>i’d probably swap zib/backs, backstrom’s playmaking between petey and willy would be great and landy-zib-lindholm would be a good checking line that has a shot at shutting down other top lines while also providing good offense on the counterattack. backlund could make the team if they want a more defensive presence (backs+JEE would form a formidable shutdown line)</div></div>
I think Zib would be better between Nylander and Petey than Backstrom. Just my opinion though.
I agree, guys like Backlund are very important on these teams, but I think Eriksson Ek is just a better version of him. Backlund won't make it ahead of any of the other centers, maybe ahead of hornqvist (although I think he'd be very valueable) or Olofsson, and then they slide Eriksson Ek or Karlsson to wing.

I don't see Sweden being as strong as they have been historically.</div></div>
I totally agree. This team is more well-rounded than Canada in terms of defense and goaltending. That Gibson Hellebuyck duo will be deadly.

In all seriousness move McDavid to Center and MacKinnon to wing. MacKinnon is more the natural fit to play the boards vs McDavid. This will be an absolutely lights out Canadian team. Also I would personally play Chabot over Hamilton as I feel he is the more all around player.</div></div>
Yeah I stuggled with who to have on the team out of Hamilton, Chabot, and Ekblad. Could go any way. I put McDavid at center to give him less responsibility defensively and let him focus more on offense. I see your point though.

Great first round. After that it kinda gets a little weird, but the later rounds do tend to do that. Svechkov has to be a first-rounder in my mind though.

I don't think Columbus takes that deal. And Laine won't take that long of a contract. I have thought in the past though that Laine would be a good fit on Florida. Not sure what they'd have to give up though (assuming Huberdeau, Barkov, Knight, and Ekblad are off the table).

Ottawa offseason

Because he has a bad season in which he was on COVID protocol twice, was asked to play RW for the first time in his career and battled mental issues from the isolation (no family or significant other in Boston) required by the NHL. His two most common linemates this year were Coyle and Ritchie. Coyle had the worst year of his career this year and Ritchie fell off a cliff after his hot start.
I'd give you a 2nd for Formenton and you can keep the rest.</div></div>
I've heard from a number of sources that DeBrusk is likely done in Boston for a variety of reasons. Not saying they're trading him just cause of one bad season. I'm not saying this trade will happen, but something like this, and it would make sense for both teams. Just my opinion though.

Who Does Buffalo Take 1st Overall?
There are so many options. I could see Power, Beniers, Hughes, or Edvinsson going 1st. Power is probably the most likely, but I'm not sure he's the best option.
