Vancouver Canucks if they kept all their draft picks and no trades
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gordfish</b></div><div>Two moments that were disastrous for Benning.
One, the Juolevi pick, but not how you think. He should have taken Sergachev, who was hailed at the time as the most NHL ready defenseman in that draft. Yeah, I know, Tkachuk, Tkachuk, Tkachuk. But here we are 5 years later, and what's this team's biggest need, by a country mile? Lesson here, don't be dazzled by players on stacked teams.
Two, the Toffoli trade. And I think this was his single biggest mistake. It lead to them losing not only those assets, but Tanev and Markstrom in free agency. The smart play was move Tanev at that deadline for future returns, keep Madden and the second and then resign Markstrom. Then you sell as high as you can on the remaining potential on Gaudette and Virtanen. And you still have Demko to move. Instead he chased a single playoff run to save his job. Lesson here, when you're rebuilding, stick to the plan, no matter what.</div></div>
that Juolevi pick will always be a disaster
I disagree though with the Toffoli trade. I think the trade was good, but choosing to re-sign Virtanen and not Toffoli was the disaster.
Markstrom had to go, he got more money, more term and more protection than VAN should have offered, now we have Demko on a much better deal for the team
Tanev would only have been moved if VAN was not in the playoffs, so losing him was kind of inevitable
Gaudette for Highmore is turning out great!
Juolevi for Lamiko and Juulsen is turning out great too

less term, less cap on Holl, and a pick, all checkmarks, file the paperwork

Trying for Garland again
only player i can see that VAN would have interest in trading for from PIT would be Marino. they are loaded with fwds but need D, specifically RHD
Kappenan doesn't improve the roster enough to take the cap back.
so either picks/prospects for Garland
or Marino and balancing of picks to make a fair trade
VAN desperately needs RHD

Ferland does not have any value.</div></div>
He has some value to TOR, having him allows them to exceed the cap (see LTIR FAQ)
I think the main value is that VAN takes ritchie's contract (no retention). Dermott and 2nd are.... compensation?

I think Vancouver needs to add here
If you adding Ferland to Leafs does anything, your mistaken</div></div>
Ferland is LTIR, creates cap space/roster space for Klingberg. seems valuable to me

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AFox23</b></div><div>Adam Fox? Are you serious?! This is a very competitive package that sets Vancouver up nicely for the future.</div></div>
I'm not saying that they are worth Fox... only that the <strong>quality</strong> of what VAN is trading is much more valuable that the <strong>Quantity</strong> of what NYR is trading.
VAN not interested in prospects and futures. need quality RHD though....

leave it, quantity does not equal quality, if you want both of those guys then i would expect only one of Fox or Panarin. Fox is a performing RHD so i doubt NYR trades him, nor should they.... but I mean come on.... our best player tried and true for.... odds 'n' ends and potential futures?
forget about it, hard pass

Domi Possibly
VAN declines, Spurgeon may be better but older, higher cap hit, longer term does not fit in the future cap of a young team coming in to their 2nd or 3rd contracts.

BB and Miller
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Capitalfail67</b></div><div>Quality? lol Miller is worth a 1st + prospect.. roughly. Mantha is worth a 1st + 3rd. Sprong a middle 6 NHL ready player + 2nd.
Boeser is getting back Lappy ( high end center prospect) 1st and a mid level LHD prospect. basically 2 1st round picks for a guy having a terrible year...
every player / pick is "quality" besides Geisser lol
Edit
Miller has 23p in 24gp 10 on the powerplay... his CF%/FF% are great his xgf% isnt great but long story short he's a great player but he's unlikely to play on Wsh powerplay so he will be relying on 5v5 points. His numbers are really solid but you make him seem like he has a extremely high price point...</div></div>
i get it, but you can't offer for a player based on what you would do with him... you have to offer what they do for the team.
on VAN miller is a #1 PP guy, a 1st line player and team leader in points. VAN doesn't accept this trade... or maybe they do now that JB is gone...?

un biased value is probably close.
but Qty can't equal quality.
Miller.... VAN's best performing player, leadership on the team.... the return is not interesting to VAN ergo... decline
Boeser... having a down year so demand is not as high, but high upside, ownership and fanbase love him..... return is not interesting so.... decline.
it's like EA NHL "consult our trade block"
Top 4 RHD
Top 6 D
or a Top 6 F swap but trade value has to be the same 1 for 1
