Absolutely love who you want us to draft. I'm really high on W.Smith and coming back into the first round to get a high end dman is great! Where you have drafted these prospects is also realistic so kudos!
I doubt D-Petey gets signed this year. AHL team is already loaded with Brisebois, Juulsen, Johannson, Rathbone etc... I think the Canucks also let Woo walk. Hasn't shown any growth and is a past regime draft pick. The Canucks will be in on the NCAA free agent pool as well to fill out roster spots.
Really like all the RFA signings.
Love the Graves signing. Everyone wants Gavrikov but I think he's overrated and will be too expensive.
Don't like the Beauvillier trade. Let him build up his value playing along side EP40 and move him at the deadline to a contender for late first or a real blue chip prospect.
I doubt the Ducks would give us that much for Brock.
I would love it if Vegas did that deal for Roy I just don't see it happening. Also if we draft W.Smith having Roy for 4 years doesn't allow Smith to crack the lineup in a year or two. Sign a Barbashev or Jost as a stop gap until Smith is ready.
Hate the trade with the Jets. No reason to take on appleton at his salary to play 4th line. Juulsen and Stanley are a wash.
Hate the trade with the leafs. No reason to take on that kind of salary for a bottom pair dman even if we get Niemela.
Love that you bought out OEL.

Lots of detail. Amazing job.</div></div>

1) Agree with the fate of AHL D. Just figure he is pretty young to give up on, especially with all the new development staff.
2) Doubt they trade beau if they are in the playoff race. Which I think this team/coaching will be. Also don't see him playing away from Petey on the contract he'll likely get.
3) The ducks are weak at RW and have a ton of draft capital.
4) Yeah I wasn't sure what a Roy return would be, but he is a player who Van needs at 3C. When Smith is ready either Roy moves over for a season, or Smith starts at 2C and Miller (not a true 2C as he ages) moves back to wing. I think you'll have to significantly over pay for either of those two on a 1 or 2 yr deal until Smith is NHL ready
5) Gotta use that OEL buyout money for good. Taking on a $5m dman who can play a veteran role on a 3rd pair for 1 year and get a good prospect in return is worth it. Getting rid of Boeser and myers allows them the space until Petey and Hronek need contracts.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hitagi_Senpai</b></div><div>A few points:
1. Bit high on 0% retained Brock Boeser. Like 2 draft picks too high. He's a early/mid second at best right now.
2. Over priced contract on Hoglander who has been AHL level for us for most of his career so far. He's getting close to league min, or we move on.
3. Myers is going to cost to move atm, unless a team takes a stabber on him at 50% (after July 1st)
4. I hate the Beau trade. Like insanely. He's been fantastic with us, and we're moving Brockstar and him? We're keeping him. That's why we acquired him.
5. The Appleton trade makes no sense for the Jets. Especially with my previous Beau ain't going no where bit. "Buzzer"
6. Colorado pick doesn't happen. Avs are not in the draft pick swapping mode. They'll give you picks for cheap roster plays though...
7. Canucks DO NOT want to do the Brodie thing. Also the Leafs aren't giving up Niemelä unless a substantial piece is coming back to them. Not using him as bait for contract eating.
8. OEL buyout is probably the only thing I like here, that actually makes an inkling of sense...
9. We're not finishing as low as 7th. We're either 1st, 2en, 9th, 10th, 11th.
10. I think the Canucks will take a swing with Silovs in the backup role next season. He's been pretty fire in his starts at the NHL level so far. Saves another 2m
11. idm the Graves signing, but I still think they'd likely acquire someone like Pettersson from the Penguins while moving a forward and say Rathbone to them.
12. I'm sorry I'm ****ting all over your stuff man.</div></div>

1) He has had 1 out of 6 seasons below a 60pt pace and 26yr old.
2) I think 1.6m is a small gamble on a player that could provide middle 6 scoring for 3 years on a cheap deal. Look what he did in his rookie year + this AHL season. Playing well under this system. If it blows up it wont cost them much to send back to AHL.
3) AZ could be surprised here with the possibility of the cap floor going up higher than expected. 1m contract, 6m cap hit, and veteran leadership for a young team at no asset cost. We know how much AZ values actual $$.
4) He has had a big bounce back season. Which is exactly why they should take advantage and get back a good pick and a project in a position of need for the club. Wingers are cheap. He was traded to make the money work with Horvat's contract.
5) Maybe. At the end of the day he's a 4th line winger.
6) Only moving back 8 spots and taking the risk they get back a low 2nd rd for a high 3rd rd. Possibility they like someone available at 36 as well.
7) Canucks would love to get Niemela for a 4th rd pick and holding onto a $5m 4-6th dman and retaining and flipping at the deadline (they have the $space with OEL gone). Tor is gonna be in trouble if Muzzin comes back and they want to keep Nylander/Liljegren/O'reilly/Gustafsson. If no Muzzin it gives them a shot at UFA's like Graves, Severson, Orlov, Gavrikov.
8) It's the only option, but they need to use his space wisely.
9) They are only 3 pts out of 5th and currently t-7th. Anything can happen over final 15 games. This is a deep draft, Will Smith could drop to 9th as well.
10) Totally a possibility. Although they tried this with Martin this year... we know how that worked. They are a team desperate for the playoffs, I dont think they want to risk having to trade for a competent goalie midseason when they can pay for one in July. I see Silvos splitting this season between AHL and NHL to maximize development without sitting on the bench for 60 games.
11) Doesn't cost assets to sign a UFA vs a trade. I think Rathbone still has a chance given one more year in the AHL.
12) Hey! Thats why they have a comment section haha
