(WSH/TOR) - Edmundson for 2024 3rd (NYI), 2025 5th (CHI)
Figured he'd go for a 3rd, not a terrible deal but the 5th seemed unnecessary. Not a big deal though, good guy to have for the playoffs that's for sure!

(OTT/FLA) - Tarasenko for 2024 4th (FLA), 2025 3rd (FLA)
Why would you trade Tarasenko for so little return on Wednesday, when you can wait 2 days and maybe see the market shift in your favor? Its not like Ottawa was going to get less for him on Friday...just an epically stupid trade by Ottawa. And frankly, Vegas is also a loser here, given they gave up more for Mantha...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NorthernLeafsFan05</b></div><div>This is laughably bad for the Senators, they couldn't even pry a decent prospect out of Florida. I get that the trade protection on Tarasenkos deal allowed him to dictate where he went, but that doesn't change the fact that this trade is horrible. For crying out loud, Anthony Mantha cost the Knights more than this.
This is highway robbery for the Panthers who add another lethal offensive weapon to their already loaded forward group. At only 2.5m, he is going to be extremely valuable. If they want to buy more, they easily could (granted they don't have the money). This was a masterclass of a trade from Zito and a complete blunder by Staios</div></div>

Considering how many posts there were saying Tarrasenko was gonna get Ottawa a first, easy win for the Panthers.

Washington Capitals signed Rasmus Sandin (5 Years / $4,600,000 AAV)
I was so crushed when Sandin was traded to the Caps, he was my favourite prospect to follow for years and was a ton of fun with the Leafs. I'll never forget the giant reverse hit he threw on Blake Wheeler.
This is a fantastic deal for the Caps, Sandin has the potential to be something so special and the Caps just bought up moat of his prime years for less than 5m. Such a good contract

(VGK/WSH) - 2024 2nd (VGK), 2026 4th (VGK) for Mantha
Really fair deal for both sides. Vegas gets a guy already at 20 goals and the Caps get a decent return for a pending UFA.

Extremely good deal for both sides. Mantha should fit like a glove, and Washington recoups some picks for a pending UFA who has had his ups and downs. Vegas also keeps their 1st to use for more buying (Guentzel 👀)
All things considered, this is an extremely fair deal. Good stuff

Filling
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>again, no one is taking a 4.75 mil 3rd liner.
what planet are you on.
Teams don't even want 3rd liners with 3 years term anymore, it's considered too much risk.
Yet you thing they are going to over pay on a 3rd liner for 2 years.
There is no way. You can keep posting it all day and talk about some "reporter" fake news idiot..... but no one is taking that contract.
If you want to move him, you'll be retaining or paying.</div></div>
Your opinion is not as important as the professionals, no matter how much you like to pretend it is. Would I pay for Mikheyev? Not a chance. However the reported consensus is that around the league he is a well respected player that teams would like. Whether right or wrong, that is how he's viewed.

Great deal for the wings. Eats a lot of space on the ice and if he can just learn to shoot the puck would score a ton due to a great forechecking ability

Good middle-6 guy with size. Players that have size are highly wanted. For under 3.5 mil its a great price
