<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dannibalcorpse</b></div><div>-Once again, Jake Muzzin isn't waiving his NTC to go play for a rebuilding team, not when he's playing for a Cup contender 90 minutes from his hometown.

-Korpisalo is an interesting player to target as a bounce-back candidate but this trade is actively bad for Columbus. If you're swapping two mediocre/bad goalies but one is older and has a much larger cap hit ($3.8M vs. $1.3M), you need to offer more of an incentive than the RFA rights to a guy with Kase's injury history.

-Minnesota passes. Their D corps is pretty much set for next season (Brodin, Spurgeon, Dumba, Goligoski, Merrill, Kulikov, Addison all signed for next year and Middleton as an RFA) so adding Liljegren isn't necessary; especially not if it takes away Hartman, a guy who just scored 34 goals this season and is signed for 2 more years $1.7M. Minnesota needs him to be part of their core going forward the next couple years as they deal with the Parise/Suter buyouts.

-I just don't see why Arizona makes this trade. Nylander doesn't take them from the basement to the playoffs, so why are they giving up their best trade chip *plus* a 1st and a 2nd? I could maybe see this deal if you needed to trade Auston Matthews and wanted to send him home, because he's the kind of guy who can carry a franchise. Not Willie Nylander, though.</div></div>

If I'm Arizona I'm drooling at the chance to acquire Nylander, so that when Auston Mathews is UFA in 2 years Not only can you offer him a crazy like 14 mil contract to come home and save the Arizona franchise but also one of his best friends and teammates is already there.
