Dump Campbell in PHI
Use Broberg and your 2024 1st to dumb him (with other assets)
Tanev won't cost that much, especially after the Zadorov return
Good trades tho

I'm going to have to disagree with you here, Campbells buyout is manageable and that return makes it worth it imo.

Nope, Because Gibson won't waive to play in Canada, it already came out a couple of seasons ago. That all Canadian teams are on his no trade list. He wants only the States like most Americans.

Like these moves. Still think the oilers need a b6 pk specialist C. Honestly Id prefer bjugstad over fischer. Most defensively sound 5v5 and great penalty killer on a real bad team with not support.
Low key schenn a great, cost-effective add. Got exp in a top 4 role that's a legit shutdown guy.

Minnesota declines for the reasons mentioned above. That being said, we appreciate the offer. Apologies for the negativity from other users. I have no idea why folks get so upset at trade proposals, especially new ones. :)

Barries contract isnt even overpriced for what he provides... He's going to have plenty of value next offseason if Holland chooses to move.

EDM Trade
Barrie is a perennial 50 point RHD on a great contract. Puljujarvi was top-5 in the league last season in many Relative metrics - his on ice impact is amazing. You think Edmonton is going to trade these guys for a broken LW making WAY too much money (who would play behind Kane, Holloway/Hyman and Nugent-Hopkins) and a B prospect LHD (who would play behind Nurse, Kulak, Broberg, Murray, Samorukov and Niemelainen)?
This makes absolutely no sense for Edmonton.

Drouin for Barrie
Teams that are looking to be highly competitive dont tend to create a hole in line up right before camp. This doesn't save enough money to resign mcloed and replace Barrie so it's still forcing another trade. Doesn't make sense for Edmonton.

If you're going to make an offer, you need to understand the Oilers' needs and cap space- neither of which have even been considered here.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habitantlecolon</b></div><div>with Smith and Klefbom out they seem okay and they still can move Puljujarvi for a younger prospect !</div></div>
The point of moving Barrie or Puljujarvi is to only have to move one of them in order to address the cap issues. Both are solid, mid-roster NHL players that a team with aims to contend is better off keeping.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>habitantlecolon</b></div><div>my bad it was bouchard lol !! Getting tired :P !
I've done a little AGM for oilers fan : https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/3650198</div></div>
Except your GM mode involves downgrading quite significantly at multiple positions (Foegele > Watson, Puljujarvi > Hoffman, Donato is a fringe player, and Barrie > Borgen) and making the forward group more one-dimensional. You also forgot to sign McLeod.
I counter your proposal with a far more useful one for EDM: Drouin (50% retained) for Barrie, Lavoie, and a 3rd. This is still not ideal but achieves a goal for EDM while still fitting their needs to some extent- assuming they can sign someone like Stralman afterwards.

Final steps coming up to the start of the season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>If Edmonton wants to get a Barrie-Soucy swap over the line a first is likely what it's going to take. Soucy isn't just a 3rd pairing guy, he can capably handle top four LD minutes. Plus, the Kraken are under zero pressure to move Soucy before the season, they can either extend him or wait and get a good return at the trade deadline. Edmonton meanwhile is under pressure to become cap compliant and re-sign McLeod, something they have to do before the season kicks off. That means Seattle is the one with the leverage. Even if it's not this move with the Kraken, Edmonton is the one under pressure to get something done soon.</div></div>
Soucy has never been more than a 3rd pairing defenseman and doesn't contribute much to either special team. Plus he's a lefty. There's no reason for Edmonton to go after him in the first place. :tearsofjoy
