1. Wahlstrom is an RFA and has proved absolutely nothing yet, why would we give him 4.5 when he's still under team control?
2. Same thing with Bolduc, no need to give him that type of money when he hasn't proved anything. Especially when he's sitting in the press box like you have him doing.
3. Mayfield wouldn't sign a 1 year deal at this point in his career, and certainly wouldn't take that money. He'll get 4x4 offers from other teams.
4. Like others pointed out, Chicago won't be giving anything up for Bailey. Include the 24 2nd and his cap hit is gone

Scoring winger with a high ceiling, a big, young dman with top 4 potential (which he will most likely meet), + a 1st 2nd and 3rd? Not saying it wouldn't get beat out, but to say they laugh at it is just a bad take. Mayfield trade isn't absolutely necessary but I've seen it on here a few times so I threw it in there. Lou refuses to put Johnston on waivers because he knows he would get claimed, he's said it before. And Nedeljkovic showed how good he can be when he was with Carolina, what better way to revive his career than to go to the place that turned Robin Lehner from the worst goalie in the league to a Vezina finalist.

There's a difference between thinking you were going somewhere and a deal actually being done, Pagnotta said it was done.

I'm not putting myself out there claiming to be connected and have sources... Pagnotta reported that Kadri to the Isles was done and in the process of being finalized with the league and he also said NYI was in on Gaudreau, which was never true. There's been other scenarios in the past but these two are the ones that stick out since they're NYI. He's faked his way through life and that led to his NHL Network appearances. If you look at him for more than 2 seconds you'll realize all he does is rip info from actual insiders, change the wording, then act like it's new.
