Fixing the Cap Issues
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>What else does Chicago get because you aren't getting Jokiharju for Raddysh.</div></div>
a 5th-7th Rounder. Out of Joki, Boqvist, and Mitchell...Joki is probably your odd man out. Look ahead 2 years, our RHD will be Seabrook, Boqvist, Murphy, and either Mitchell/Joki. One has got to go. Seabrook won't get traded and with Murphy to leave, you have to package a decent prospect with him or else he wont garner anything but a bag of pucks. Joki hasn't shown he can QB the Power Play and has been sent down in favor of people like Koekkoek and Dahlstrom for obvious seasoning.

Trades with Ottawa and Winnipeg
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>Much cheaper to keep Kampf as the 4C and Hayden as the wing. Lowry is not that much better then Kampf so why do this? Ben Chiarot is awful and completely unnecessary when you have Dahlstrom, Carlsson who should be getting a call up, and Koekk who's done pretty well as the 3LHD. Chiarot is a waste of money.
If we are going into next season with Caggs as the 1st liner, we're in trouble. Toews and Kane deserve a true #1 LW. I like Caggs and we stole him from the Oilers but he's not a 1st liner on any team making a run.
Anisimov will get a 2nd or 3rd rounder. After July 1st, his NTC is removed and his bonus is paid by the Hawks. His actual salary drops to $2.5M per year. That is very attractive to teams that aren't up against the cap crunch and yet need a 3C.</div></div>
Winnipeg is going to be in cap-hell and needs to unload some of those contracts. Lowry is #8 in the league in FO% with just under a thousand faceoffs. He provides relief for Toews in defensive/clutch faceoff wins when we need it and also has just under 200 hits which is nice to have in the bottom-6. Chiarot doesn't need to have Top-4 minutes at D, he can bridge the gap between Beaudin & Co. and can't be any worse than Davidson or Manning. I'm willing to trade anything for Anisimov, unless you put him with Kane he doesn't provide much so regardless of his contract, I think the best draft pick we can obtain is a 3rd or 4th. As for Caggiula, he has played well on the top line with Toews and Kane, we don't need a big name to play with those two to provide production. Oh by the way, Koekkoek has been hot garbage the past few games, he is easily replaceable.

CBJ Rumors
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>Very interesting trades. Any sources for that CBJ idea or is it spit balling? I can't see Ward waiving his NMC to go to another possible wild card team. He'd just back up Crawford and Delia would get sent down. That DET trade is interesting if you take out Vanek. From DET's point of view...they can just get more value out of those pieces. I don't see it happening</div></div>
Apparently Hawks scouts have been at the last few Blue Jackets games, Wennberg had good chemistry with Saad when Saad was in Columbus. Also, Columbus wants Anisimov back.

3-Team Trade involving Crawford amp Seabrook
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>Who in their non concussed mind would trade for Crawford? he is a good player as long as he isn't concussed which has happened more and more lately. No team is trading for him plus he has a NMC...... There is no way this happens.</div></div>
Because after this year ends he only has a year left in his contract. He can go to Edmonton where he doesn't need to be the #1 guy because of Koskinen and has a chance to get his health back on track during his walk year. Plus Gurianov, Forsling, and a 2nd Round Pick sweetens the deal.

Selling at the Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Stan_Bowman</b></div><div>Why did you sell so much young guys?</div></div>
Do you not know who Jacob Olofsson is? Also, Kampf sticks around the roster IMO because of his above-average faceoff percentage. Sikura seems like the odd man out in his final year of his ELC. If people like Martinsen and Luke Johnson are getting NHL minutes and not Sikura, I don't see a future for him in Chicago.

Bringing the Breadman back home
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BurgerBoss</b></div><div>If Carolina could get a little more in this trade, this could be a fantastic trade.
However, Foligno won't be waiving his NMC in order to move from a playoff team to a team in a middle of retooling. It seems foolish to me.</div></div>
Well it's either Foligno or Dubinsky as both men are making $5mil plus projected as #3-#4 centers in Columbus. Both have the opportunity to move into the top-6 in Carolina, who is close to contending. Also, Sikura is Chicago's #3 prospect (#1 for forwards) behind Jokiharju and Boqvist...and Abramov is Columbus's #2 prospect behind Milano. Plus they acquire a 1st and 2nd Round Pick so it's not like Carolina isn't getting anything.

And trading Hossa's contract for Bolland only to LITR him makes zero sense.</div></div>
The Hossa for Bolland rumor has been out there for a while. AZ takes on Hossa contract for 3 more years, thus helping in being above the cap floor for that time, while we take on Bolland's for just one year more, IR him, then don't have to worry about it anymore after the year.

You gotta sell
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HawksFan28</b></div><div>I don't see the Hawks trading Anisimov now, unless Bowman gets a deal that knocks his socks off.
Anisimov is signed for 3 more years.
If I'm Bowman I would want at least a 1st + a legitimate prospect with top 6 potential for Anisimov.
Also, Anisimov has a limited NTC so, I suspect he would waive it to go to a contender tho.
Bowman should take whatever he can get for Sharp, Bouma, Wingels, Franson, Kero and perhaps even Jurco....
I don't see why Sharp's not mentioned, he has a NMC but he would probably move it if he had an opportunity to win another cup as a bottom 6 depth player.</div></div>
I don't see AA's stock as high as you think it is. He got bumped down to the 3rd line and has only put up 4 points in his last 15 games. Now granted he was playing hurt and just got back from his injury but 19 points in 41 games is not going to garner a 1st and a top-6 prospect. Lemieux is in a bad situation in Winnipeg and is buried in their LW depth chart. A top-9 prospect with grit and size plus a 3rd is a realistic return for AA and his declining production. He would definitely waive his NTC to play for a contender since he isn't playing with Kane anymore. Also, trading that horrific contract is only going to open up more money for us to use in the off-season. As far as Sharp is concerned, I bought him out. Let him pass through waivers and if he isn't picked up then you let him go, he might get you a bag of pucks and some towels in a return but that's about it. Wingels I would keep over Bouma and i'd definitely consider re-signing him, he's been great on the bottom line.

why? Trocheck is an upgrade at 2C with a far better faceoff percentage than AA..Smith gives Toews a bonafide winger with Panik, and McCoshen is one of the top D prospects in the league with 2 years left on a ELC.
