Keeping the rookies in Laval one more year
Suzuki and Mete in the ahl are a joke lol. Suzuki, Mete, Evans and KK could very well start with the habs next year imo.

I dont see CBOs making a comeback though</div></div>
I feel like that'd be the smart move do you think the owner would be willing to take dead cap? That was my only concern.

Buffalo - Compliance Buyout
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BeterChiarelli</b></div><div>It absolutely would be Okposo that's bought out. There is no other option for the Sabres. If you have the option to get rid of the $6M fourth-line winger or the $9M top-six winger, you free up cash on the bottom end of your roster every damn day.
Need more money in order to afford the roster? Flip Hutton to a team expected to be garbage next season for a B-prospect or a late pick. Don't sign Ennis or Talbot to double the amount they're worth. Johansson is very easily tradeable.</div></div>
Meh I don't think there is that clear an answer between Skinner and Okposo I definitely think its close but Skinner only has 4 more points than Okposo this year I understand its a horrendous year for Skinner but 9 mil for 6 years is awful 3 mil more than Okposo 3 more years on the deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>F50marco</b></div><div>Don't mind him, he prefers not to read the descriptions on AGMs, only to critique them.... :rolleyes
As for the CBO, for simplicity most of us just trade the player to whichever team for nothing in return to signify the CBO. Its easier than adding the buyout amount to the existing cap.</div></div>
Ahh didn't think about that ill definitely start doing that thanks.

The 4 million is because you cant display a compliance buyout lol thats just Alzner's buyout cost added to the cap because there is no compliance buyout tool.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RoyBoy</b></div><div>Domi=Center</div></div>
Don't know if he will be center to long if the prospects pan out. Danault is a good faceoff and defensive center and Suzuki is the future #1 C imo. KK had a tough year but he will be an NHL center. Id rather move one to wing than move one and I see Domi being the easiest to do. MTL media will be a ****show if KK starts playing on the wing it happened with Galchenyuk dont see why it wouldnt happen with him if it happened.

i mean atleast take Timmins the best player available on D who will address a need we have there to as outside Juulsen and Mete we had no D prospects on either side</div></div>
This has nothing to do with which team is drafting

Even if they only retain on 3 next year, that doesnt mean this season doesnt count. Equally, you dont need to retain salary on Simmonds or Vats. Players at the deadline only carry about 1/4 of their cap hit since the cap hit gets prorated for about 20 games.</div></div>
I understand how the system works I am never over 3 at the time which is the limit

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>synes7hesia</b></div><div>These trades can’t happen with that amount of retention. You can only retain on three players at a time. You’re retaining on <strong>five</strong>.
Also, your total retention has to be under 15% of the cap, meaning you max out at $12.2M this season. You’re retaining nearly <strong>$14M</strong> .
Regardless of valuation, these trades wouldn’t all be able to happen because it violates two NHL rules on retained salary transactions.</div></div>
You're wrong on both lmao. As said the Simmonds and Vatanen trades happen at tdl both those contracts are expiring this summer. The 3 retention cap is only met once the first 2 are off the books.

Yeah, agreed generally. The thought with Roslovic was the term raising the price with the hope he turns out top 6 and the contract could be a steal.
