That's my thought. Bracco has obviously had a disappointing season but a change of scenery (close to his hometown) with a clearer path to the NHL could benefit him.

Not sure what the max they can get for Fast is. Exploring some other combinations.

Wonder if they could get Robertson instead of Bracco

Kapenen is a bit of a stretch agreed. Replace him with Bracco and the strategy is similar - all kids on the right wing (maybe plus Fast).
Wouldn't mind lower years for Strome or TDA but I think the latter will demand more. Wouldn't want anything long term there - needs to prove over a longer stretch that he's worth that kind of investment.
Would be fine with Fast on those terms but he might push for a third year.

Tony Gets Paid
The alternative is to play DeAngelo on the right side and have Rykov or Hajek slot in on the other side.

Kreider and The Kids II
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>Flames accept, Leafs Decline. Phillips isnt really a center at this point and has more or less become become strictly a RW (probably around the same level as Bracco). If you are looking for a LD that has 2nd line potential and is NHL ready (Since that wont get you Sandin) Kylington is available with Valimaki returning from injury. I am curious if moving out west and to Canada will be like Trouba playing in WPG though for Deangelo. He's from just outside of Philly so fairly local to NY.
As for the Leafs trade, Sandin is a highly regarded LD prospect that will likely be #2/3 caliber Leafs need a back up but they can get one for much cheaper then a 2nd and their best prospect.</div></div>
Thanks - I like posting these because I get insight from fans of other teams. I follow the Rangers and the NHL in general as much as I can but can't get in depth into every team's roster and prospects.

Kreider The Kids
I'd personally go six years for Kreider and he might accept that if he believes in what the team is building.
Then the question becomes whether they want to keep Strome or DeAngelo. Since center prospects are currently further off, I could see them keeping Strome and selling high on DeAngelo instead. Rykov could take Robertson's spot on the left side third pair. You might be right on the Andersson/Puljujarvi swap - more just wishful thinking on my part.
Planning to do another scenario with these changes.

Kreider The Kids
I'm of the mind that Strome is playing above his long term potential. It also depends on how much he's going to command versus what you could get on the open market when the cap situation clears up in 2021.

Many Maneuvers
Good offensive defenseman for sure. What will hold back the return for him: (a) not very good defensively - at least not that I can see in Lindy Ruff's "system" and (b) off-the-ice/attitude issues.

There's a little wiggle room there if the Rangers want to get it done and he does actually want to leave Washington. A lot of it depends on which direction they want to go in the first round of the draft. If they wind up being in a position to get one of the top centers, then this doesn't really make much sense and you'd think they'd go for a short term solution.
