JJ says not true - projected lineup
I think whoever is in the lower bowl should throw fish on the ICE every game JJ plays until they trade him.

Did Ray Shero Make Any Bad Trades In Pittsburgh

I don’t think the Penguins defense is that bad, only Johnson is the main concern. Honestly, I feel Evgeni Malkin will have the most impact on the team’s fate next season. If he bounces back and stays consistent by putting up 90-100 points, the Penguins will be a force to be reckoned with. If he continues to decline, the team will suffer.

My trade block - make me an offer
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cnb17</b></div><div>I'll admit I haven't seen much of him. Also if anything, the Pens need a RD not a LD. After Schultz gets traded this year, which I suspect he will, the Pens only have Letang and Guds (hopefully traded as well). So they really need more RD.</div></div>
can i interest you in kevan miller? Ya okay nevermind.

Speechless
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cnb17</b></div><div>I don't think they have that kind of speed to be effective on the forecheck. The Pens best guy was Hags. There's just no speed. And it seems to structured.....like everyone has their assigned areas to skate in and the can't leave that zone. No creativity I guess.</div></div>
pens were at their best when they played the speed, offensive, creative, up tempo game. Daley, hagalin, sheary, etc were all "speed" players that are no longer on our team

Disappointed in GMJR today
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cnb17</b></div><div>At some point these high salary, non producing players need to get moved somehow. 2019-2020 and beyond Pens look to be like the late 90's Pens</div></div>
Do love Bjugstad and Pettersson, but its just been an avalanche of poor decisions beside those two

Facts - very disappointed in GMJR, last few moves have done nothing but do damage to current and future team

Jake re-signs
Cap is projected to go up to between 82-85M Which should give the Pens between 8-10m in Cap room. If they move someone like a Jack Johnson or Olli (Not that I want them to get rid of Olli) they will have 11-15M in cap room.

Pacioretty and Skinner?
I’m sure CAR would prefer the 1Rd pick and MTL would want the centerman. Swap the first for Brassard and it’s good.

Jack Johnson Resistance Movement
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>cnb17</b></div><div>agreed....to injury prone and not very good defensively.</div></div>
Also, he would eat up a lot of Cap space, because he most likely wouldn't leave the jackets for anything less than 5 million. While we can sign a guy who is better than him defensively for half of that.

Kessel Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OshietheBeast</b></div><div>Yea, I don't think you get Kessel that easy. I mean the dude had a monster season.</div></div>
How short do you think #5 overall is? I agree that the Pens don't <strong>need</strong> to trade The Phil but the opportunity to draft Hughes would add a lot of life to the Pen's defensive pipeline. He could potentially even take over as a top pairing guy in the future.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OshietheBeast</b></div><div>And Gally was promised a role as a center</div></div>
I rarely pass up an opportunity to make fun of the Habs but if Therrien, Julien, and Bergevin all said that he just doesn't cut it at center, I would be inclined to believe them. I think Arizona will obviously help him to hit the "reset" switch and try him at Center and see how he does.
His scoring prowess really makes him a threat playing with Strome though.
