An optimistic next few months for the Edmonton Oilers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>sensonfire</b></div><div>Why's that ?</div></div>
Well they're both good talents and both have high ceiling potential for each of their respective positions, the Oilers need a 3rd or 4th solid centerman, I think the Senators could benefit from Holloway's services on either wing, perfect trade in my perfect world in my opinion

Holloway for Ostapchuck would sound like a better trade in my opinion

Norris for Rackell is awful in my opinion, I think we can get more for Norris, I know he plays center, but I think he should play on the with with Pinto and Tkachuk until they fond a suitable trade for Norris

What the hell do we do now
I think it's obvious that Mack Cele won't want to sign with this team if they do win the lottery, it'd be pretty interesting to see what happens if the Sharks win the lottery and see what they do with that pick, do they pick mack Cele and trade him afterwards or trade the pick on draft day?

Hahahahaha, I've never looked at Brodie as a defensive defenseman, to me, he's always been more of an offensive defenseman, or a two way defenseman with an offensive upside, that's why I say 25 points from date acquired to end of post season or no deal

Conditional 2nd, Conditions are that if he scores 25 points between date acquired to end of post season, leafs get the 2nd, if not, leafs get the 2025th 3rd

Talking about Debrusk or Fredrick? Because they're 2 totally different players, if I want to score more, I get Debrusk, if I need more grit, I take Fredrick, in this case, I take Fredrick, which is why I don't mind him not putting up as much points, I need Fredrick to bring more grit to this team

Debrusk 50% retained for Holloway/3rd.</div></div>
And also, I've moved my sights onto Freddy because he fits a middle 6 way better that Debrusk who no one knows if he's a top, middle or bottom six player, he's all over the place while being on a good team already, but I'm sure if Boston would trade Freddy, JD would end on on the 3rd line and most likely staying there

Holloway alone is worth Debrusk at 50% retention, he's younger, just as talented and has a cheaper contract, and even when resigned, it'll most likely be a bridge contract that would cost just as much as Freddy

It's a totally different game today and totally different ways of managing teams now as well, but who knows, at least the devils gm will have the honor of spitting out his name at the draft right?

Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>beantownboy17</b></div><div>Zack Hyman at 27 (Debrusk's current age) scored 21 goals. That was playing with Tavares. The same year DeBrusk scored 27 goals playing with David Krejci at age 22. Now I love Krejci but Tavares is a better C.
If we take the 3 years leading up to this season for DeBrusk and the 3 season prior to Hyman coming to the Oilers (wiping out the covid season for Hyman), Hyman averaged 0.28g/gm or 17g/season. DeBrusk averaged 0.325g/gp or 21.6g/season. If you compare that to the last 3 season where Hyman has been playing with McDavid, he's averaged 0.49g/gp, good for an extra 17 goals per season. So you're telling me you don't want DeBrusk, who is younger and arguably more talented than Hyman, knowing he would likely score about 0.57g/gp which means he'd average over 40 goals per season for the next 4 or 5 seasons?
Now I didn't do well in statistics in high school but you wouldn't give up a fringe NHLer and a late first for what would likely be the best pure winger McDavid has ever played with? Thats just dumb.</div></div>
Just to add to what <a href="/users/PurpleHippo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@PurpleHippo</a> already said to you, Hyman might not be more talented than Debrusk, but he is definitely a harder worker and definitely knows where to go to get those goals where as in Debrusk works basically on talent, and then there's the Tavares and Krejci comparison you speak of, LOL, David's rings speak more hockey than Tavares's career, LOL, also, another perfect example of hard work, so, if you want to sell Debrusk with a high price tag, I highly doubt any real GM would bite, Jake needs a pretty good center man to produce, you also just said that about Krejci and Debrusk, therefore, no deal, we'll all just wait for the summer to give him the contract he deserves rather than placing an awful bet on him that he actually produces, he's most likely going to sign short term prove yourself contract than giving him a long term high price tag contract in which we all know cannot happen with the Bruins cap at this moment UNLESS they move some pieces and let Gryzz walk in the summer.

Warren Foegele And Dylan Holloway Trade Redo
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>History65</b></div><div>Maybe DeBrusk instead of Freddy if Boston's not re-signing him.</div></div>
To be honest, I'm more interested in Fred, he'd totally solidify the bottom six, OR if Connor and Zach are playing against bigger and more physical players than them, he'd complement Connor and Zach huge just with his presence on the ice
