Lines for tonight
Sharks Twitter has Burns-Vlasic and Ferraro-Karlsson. If it's true that would be great. I agree, Donato has looked excellent. I hope we see Chmelevski get a swing soon but Gambrell looks really decent.

Ur not getting a top six forward (kane) in exchange for a 3rd liner and a 2nd. Kane starts with Texier.

Sharks Long Term Future
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>goodfella</b></div><div>Defense is pretty good going forward imo.
We've been depleted for half a decade with forward prospects. So no surprise there, but it looks like the first three picks from 2020 are actually pretty good.</div></div>
Coe and Gushchin we're very underrated picks. Spiridonov, Raska, Hatakka and Kniazev we're all at world juniors and Kniazev's pair was one of the best in the tournament.

Bordeleau, Robins and Weisblatt are all very underrated. Coe is also looking to be a strong prospect.

Flames at the deadline
I like it. Simmer has yet to reach his ceiling in the NHL but he is a physical, steady dman who can pair with an offensive minded guy and cover his back.

Dude, the 1st overall this year won't touch Hertl's talent level.

That's the opinion of someone who clearly knows little about the situation. Kane has been an exceptional teammate on and off the ice in SJ, his problems almost always are away from the game. Thanks for your valued input though.

You get used to that with Evander Kane. I'm not surprised at all. Shame cause he is damn talented.

It's very unlikely. But if he does I expect the Sharks will terminate his deal and there's an additional 7mil in cap space for us.

Unpopular opinion but certain enablers that are no longer with the org might be good for him that they are gone...I know he and a certain Leaf went gambling together often in Vegas.

He won't opt out of the season. We've known of his gambling issues for a couple years now but this is a staggering amount of money. He needs to buckle down this year, focus on hockey then after the season get his life back on track.

San Jose Sharks signed Fredrik Claesson (1 Year / $700,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>STEADY FREDDY! Stick him with Erik immediately, and you're playing with house money. Those two were so good together when Claesson was actually used. I still think he's an NHL player, it's just that Guy Boucher was an idiot and Claesson wasn't 6'7 like Ben Harpur.</div></div>
This is very obvious that SJ is concerned about Simek's injury being long term. Unfortunately the coaches are dead set on a Vlasic-Karlsson pair even though Ferraro clearly deserves a chance. Was Claesson really that good with Erik?

Yes but until last season he had 30 PP goals in 649 games. I'd say the 2nd unit is pretty good for him sorry to say.

Yes Chmelevski is a little more expendable after drafting Robins. I love Hertl but it's hard to say this trade doesn't make us better down the middle.

Not more, the trade is fair. CBJ gets a top six C, a very strong C prospect in Chmelevski and a 3rd as a sweetener. Chmelevski is a very underrated prospect.

Guerin really beefed up their stock. Rossi and Kap are obvious but Khusnutdinov, Boldy, O'Rourke and Khovanov are all really strong.

Eliteprospects put Carolina's prospect pool 4th. NHL Network doesn't have them top 15???</div></div>
NHL network is often terrible at ranking anything. Wouldn't mind it much if I we're you, their "analysts" are morons.
They ranked Joachim Blichfeld on the Sharks as our #2 prospect over Weisblatt, Leonard (who is about to crack the top six NHL squad) Chmelevski and Robins...erm, right...Blich isn't even making the team as a scratch.
